Story - 9

While your average isekai might bounce around the bush, then start some plotline and quickly derail, Mushoku Tensei continued that plot right where it left off. We see our main character embark in more adventures, lots of twists across the board, introductions of new characters--- frankly, it all just flows really well.

I thought some animations of the overlooking city and that type of thing stuttered a little, so if that bothers you, then just be warned. Other than that, the artstyle was modern and in

line with other isekai and I have zero complaints.
Sound - 9

Like always, great work by the voice actors. I think the VA for Eris in particular did really well, especially in displaying all of Eris's emotions.
I did not think that there was anything hindering about the music. It enhances the experience and follows the anime well.
Character - 10
=====
We learn a little bit more about each character and meet some new characters. What makes this season interesting is how each character seems to relate to one another. That enhances the experience much more and is something to keep in mind. All in all, great development, great insight.
Enjoyment - 10

What a great season! It was fun watching from start to finish and had plenty of interesting events, which kept me hooked.

If you like S1, S2 follows the plot perfectly with the Mushoku Tensei-ish humor style and continues well. I expect a third season sometime.

Note: This Review covers both parts of Slime Season 2.
Story - 9
=====
The story expands on ideas presented in the first season with the additional pressure of relations with neighboring countries, expanding the empire, and establishing safe connections. It leaves off after the Slime Side Story about Rimuru's teaching experiences, which is nice.
The show has a strong usage of suspense, which makes each episode thrilling and an addicting watch.
The first couple episodes start a bit slow, but it soon ramps up very quickly. There is a strong point of climax, and multiple arcs present. Before each large arc begins, it feels like a

couple episodes are used to introduce a bunch of information. That part is a little uninteresting, but with the compelling nature of the show, it is by no means a bummer.
The plot is unique and interesting and a good watch if you enjoyed season 1. Slime Diaries is not required for Season 2. If you liked Season 1, but did not like Slime Diaries, you will still most likely like Season 2.
Art - 9

As a disclaimer, I'm not too keen on art anyway, so this is not my area of expertise. I will note when the art is beautiful, but generally, it's good and follows some relative convention. The art follows the standard that most isekai in 2021 follow, but the animations for magic were well done. The art was very pretty and flowed well with the moves. I liked that CG was not used that often (I'm not a huge fan), and the animators relied more on 2D animation.
Sound - 9

Nothing incredibly spectacular about the music. It was fitting, but nothing really eye-catching.
The OP and END songs also didn't really catch my eye as songs to listen to outside of the show.
As for the voice actors, as usual, I have no complaints- I think they all did excellent. I think my score here comes mostly from my love for the voice actor Takehito Koyasu, who plays the role of 'evil royalty' brilliantly. He also plays Roswaal L. Mathers in Re:Zero, so you might have heard him then.
Character - 10
=====
Each new character introduced felt fresh and interesting. I was surprised to see how aesthetically well each character was, and how consistent the character's actions were in lines with their background, experiences, and abilities.
I don't want to spoil who is introduced, so I will not mention specific names.
Each character has their unique personality and watching them relate with other ones gives each one depth.
Character growth can be seen across the season from both Rimuru and others around him- this is quite enjoyable to watch.
Enjoyment - 9

I think I came into this season not expecting too much. I saw some of Slime Diaries but the slice of life aspect did not really appeal to me.
But as new characters were introduced, suspense was built, and plot points were advanced, I got roped very into the core of the show, and kept watching and watching. It was fun; I lost track of time when I watched.
Finding an absolute joy in this show was a pleasant surprise and I'm looking forward to what is next for this show.
Overall - 10

Slime S2 was on-point; it delivered an experience stronger than Slime Season 1, and proved an incredibly enjoyable watch. For anybody who is looking for a continuation of Season 1, I would definitely recommend this. If you think about quitting, just know that I would endure through the slower episodes, because the plot that follows that is absolutely worth it.
This is a great watch for sure.

Note: This is another isekai with a unique concept-work
Story - 8
=====
The story focuses around Kinji Ninomiya, a man who worked to obtain a life of no work and riches. It focuses and jokes a lot about extreme modern capatalism.
He has the stereotypical isekai transfer-to-another-world event, but there is no goddess and he's immediately slapped with debts and forced into the Black Company (company that exploits its workers), Raiza'ha. He then procedes to work and try to make his way to the top again.
The plot has plenty of twists and at the times seems like it doesn't take itself seriously, which adds to comedic element.

The author loves to put capitalism in everything in the plot, which, despite its repetitive nature, I found original and entertaining.
Art - 7

The art follows the standard that most isekai in 2021 follow. I would argue that the animation looks slightly more choppy than a lot of other isekai, but art is not my expertise.
Sound - 8
=====
The general sound-work was good. The ending theme for this anime is pretty good.
The voice actor for "Rimu" does her lines super super well. I feel like her voice alone contributed a lot to the family relationship between Rimu and Kinji.
Character - 7
=====
I really like how Kinji is just openly scummy. He openly mentions that he views people as 'trash' and wants to be 'above them.' This makes him seem extremely childish, which adds to his humor.
As I mentioned, the voice actor for Rimu did really well, which made her character a joy to see.
Some characters were placed in random fanservice scenes, which was random and unexpected, but I didn't mind.
Enjoyment - 9

I watched this anime as it aired and it served as a good Friday watch. It was fun to see Kinji make his moves and try to control the world. I also really liked how the author desperately tried to put seemingly random capitalist concepts in every part of the story; it seemed like a unique gimmick for an isekai.
Overall - 8

If you're sick of isekai, then this is not really for you.
If you want another isekai/comedy adventure anime that is absurd, has a decent plotline, and interesting characters, this is for you!
I would recommend the first two episodes or so, and if you don't like those, feel free to drop.

Story - 7

As this show is an isekai, the story wasn't anything super special, but certain plots enhanced it significantly. It is filled with juvenile humor, which is a fresh feeling after lots of forced comedy in recent shows.
This is written by the same person who wrote KonoSuba, so if you liked the comedy in there, you'd probably like the comedy in here.
I enjoyed the slice of life nature of the anime, and the ending wrapped up the general feelings pretty well.
There was plenty of fanservice to keep the show moving, but I felt that it was well-placed such that the show itself would

not be hindered through fanservice.
The show begins well, slows slightly in the middle, and keeps a strong pace through the end.

Normal isekai art, pretty much. There wasn't anything overly special to it. Some monsters looked cool, but also pretty average. That was about it.

Sounds were good. There was some yelling at times, but well-placed and not intrusive. The voice actors did pretty well.
Character - 8

This is a pro and a con, depending on what you like: the main character is pretty scummy, so if that bothers you, then don't watch this anime. He rarely follows any convention of respectability.
At the same time, that makes him pretty funny to watch. His relationship with his android robot companion is pretty interesting, and I'd like to see some development in their friendship as he tackles more issues in a future season (I doubt one is coming though, since this show isn't immensely popular, if I'm not mistaken)
The characters around the main characters are pretty useless, but that makes them entertaining. It's fun to watch useless characters try to do things they clearly can't. And have the main character mock them for it.
Enjoyment - 8

While some episodes were vastly better than others, the general plot was good, the comedy was on-point, and the fanservice was pretty good. I had fun watching this as a light-hearted comedy relief anime.

A good watch! It's surprising that it's good because of how low Isekais are rated, but this one has some hidden juvenile humor which is appealing.
If you liked Konosuba, this one is definitely a worth a try.

Story - 8
=====
The story follows Moriarty from the book Sherlock Holmes as he tries to revolutionize the class systems in Great Britain. This is an interesting take, as it focuses on the antagonist in a popular novel and attempts to justify his actions. The show's execution of this concept is well-done.
Part 2 is much better than Part 1, so it is definitely worth watching the whole ride. While Part 1 focuses more on daily events, Part 2 strings those events together and brings a greater purpose.
Art - 9

The art in this anime is great. There is a British aesthetic around every character and the general atmosphere. We see large Victorian buildings with cobblestone roads and community fountains. We also see a large difference in the buildings in the slums versus the rich areas. The art style of industrial items in an age where industrial items are new is well portrayed.
Overall, this illustrates Arthur Conan Doyle's book pretty well.
Sound - 9

The music is pretty nice in this show. It's pleasing on the ears and achieves it's purpose pretty well when it needs to.
Character - 8
=====
At times, some of the nobles were presented with extremely one dimensional views. This bothered me, as I felt it didn't portray the characters very well.
On the other hand, generally, characters were placed with immense depth, showing complex motives and actions.
Personally, I didn't like the focus on Sherlock at times, but I also understand it worked quite well in the show.
Enjoyment - 9

A great watch for fans of Sherlock and other mysteries. I enjoyed this anime after a long day of work. Watching Moriarty was quite fun, even when it wasn't doing that much.
Overall - 8

If you want a good mystery with action and a well-put plot, this is an anime for you! The characters are interesting, the art is good, and the story flows well.
If you're a diehard fan of Sherlock Holmes and the original series, I would take this show with a grain of salt, as you might be disappointed by "literary inconsistencies" (which I have not looked into, but assume occur in the show)

Story - 3

This anime is a comedy/slice of life type anime that focuses on the life of Uramichi, who is always depressed with his work.
The comedy did not hit at all for me. As a result, I watched to see what Uramichi would do each episode. This anime has an interesting concept, but after watching 6 episodes of this show, I did not see Uramichi have any significant developments, which I guess is completely fair, as the structure is not built to show any growth out of Uramichi.

it might be a slice of life, but there was zero progression on Uramichi's part, which thoroughly irritated me. Even though he doesn't like his work, there is no explanation of how he got to where he is and why he continues to work where he's at. Uramichi explains that he has to work so he can "eat the next day," but that's also just not true.
All in all, due to the zero progression, I stopped watching.
Art - 7

The Art was pretty solid. There was nice graphics for the show, and the idea of presenting another graphic to show the "TV version" was quite nice.
Sound - 8

The VA for Uramichi does pretty well, especially in his expression of Uramichi's discontent while he's smiling. The other voice actors do great as well, especially through their contributions in the singing parts. I have no complaints with the sound, as it was well done.
Enjoyment - 4

The plot threw my enjoyment down the hill pretty much.
Overall - 5

I do not recommend this anime. The comedy does not really hit and across 6 episodes of the same thing of Uramichi and zero progression, it grows boring.

Story - 8

The only reason I give the story an 8 is because it lost some steam near the end. The beginning was so well done, and built an incredible suspense. Overall, the show was very good, and left interesting ideas at the end of each episode. Keep in mind, this show has a lot of reference to suicide, so if you are struggling with that at the moment, I do not recommend this anime.
The only problem with the show is that it tries to reach some destination, some conclusion, but never really reaches that fully. It hints at multiple concepts but never explains

those or goes in depth. Around episode 7-8 the pace slows down and the the last couple episodes are pretty sloppy. However, the ride overall through the plot is pretty good. The first episodes are a must-watch.
Art - 10

The art in this anime is absolutely beautiful. There are large scenes with great lighting that show different elements of characters. There is rain that feels real. There are tears that looks beautiful.
Everything about the art in this anime is very good. It uses subtle art to give off small concept-work and show off details.
The animations are fluid and fun to watch.
Sound - 10

The sound is very well utilized to build suspense and show emotion. This contributes heavily and sets the mood for a lot of scenes pretty well.
The most notable soundtrack I thought was the sounds played through the running scenes (not a spoiler)
Character - 9

Each character had a lot of depth to them. They each showed different parts of themselves on the surface and had complex thoughts boiling inside. I wondered what might be going on between different characters as they said and thought different things.
Characters fight, but also give up, which shows a really human side to a lot of them. This makes the characters extremely relatable, as they struggle through their lives.
Enjoyment - 9

Aside from the sloppy ending, I liked this anime a lot. It was really fun, but also dark at the same time. It was relatable and presented elements a journey that all of us faced at childhood.
The suspense left me at the edge of my seat at times, and I didn't want to stop watching.
Overall - 9

Great anime, just don't watch episode 13- that one is really awful.
If you're looking for something heavy and serious which explores mental health, then this one is for you! The ending isn't as an audience would desire, but the show overall is very enjoyable.

Pretty generic story to be quite frank. The hero is summoned from another world to fight a demon lord. The gimmick is that he's overcautious, which is interesting, but the delivery isn't as well as can be. Some scenes in the beginning are fun, but the serious plot/arc that follows doesn't hit as hard as it should.

Despite my objective overview of the anime, I found it to be pretty fun to watch. As an isekai, it hit the cliche, but wanted goals. There was a demon lord, some hero, and a relative plot. For those on an isekai binge, this one hits the spot pretty well!

Decent anime with an average story. If you want an isekai, this one does it pretty standard, but gives an enjoyable ride. As an action/adventure series, it's not bad either, though I would recommend other shows over this one.

The plot follows the daily life of a sleepy princess, who spends all her time making her sleeping situation more comfortable. She is imprisoned inside the Demon Castle. (In some sense this anime is an isekai in terms of setting, but it's more of 'fantasy' than 'isekai')
The Demon Lord and his forces are not exactly hardcore, malicious people, which adds to comedic elements.
The first couple episodes are a bit slow, but the anime picks up its pace with interesting events, and the last arc is very good.

The anime is pretty well-sounded. There is nothing incredible about the OST, but the voice acting is well done. The "よくできました” is pretty cool to hear at the end of each quest. The sounds for completing and ending quests is nice. The sleeping sounds of the princess fit in well.

The princess herself has a good sense of humor and all the characters are pretty cute and wholesome.

The story follows our protagonist, Sato, and his journeys through hikikomori life and the pursuit of escaping hikikomori life. The story takes multiple twists and focuses on the life of Sato, as he makes his way to what he considers an ideal life. The characters that revolve around him give him different purpose and he seeks out different external factors in the hopes of change.
The plot begins with explanation and moves across multiple arcs. It concludes very well, leaving the audience satisfied. Through the story, it's easy to get sucked into the perspectives of the characters, which makes the plot appear more complex.

The Art in the anime is pretty good. They went as far as to make a fake idol-type magical children's anime within the show. The usage of different camera lenses to distort certain scenes and show objects talking fed further into his delusion and was very well done.
Sound - 10

The song "Fushigi Puru Pururin Rin!" is extremely addictive. It is well-placed throughout the show and the version of this song that appears behind the walls of the apartment is very good as well.
The rest of the music is quite good and a nice listen. It shows different emotions through different scenes and is well done overall.
Character - 10

As I mentioned previously, it's easy to get sucked in to the perspectives of the characters. This builds suspense and gives the plot a greater depth.
The characters are memorable and their goals are complex, but reasonable. They each have flaws, which makes for interesting, human-like characters.
Enjoyment - 10

I enjoyed this anime. Sato was really relatable and his journey featured lots of dark humor.

A good anime with solid plot, artistic elements, and comedy. If you want a good watch with interesting characters, then go for it!
Then again, if you're a NEET yourself, this anime might stir up some real existentialism, so keep a look out.
