Im going to address the main thing being the story, sure it could have been better. But im not here to talk about the story because that just worked, all of it. The MC is just OP never having to struggle but once again couldn't care less.
I want to talk about this whole world they created where things just fell in place. Despite the horror its still lovely. It genuinely felt alive since you can clearly see the players filling roles and going through various stages in their long game session. That was very interesting to watch.

Lets just say anime brought out that emotional side of me. The first part of this show made me grow attached to all the characters, they did something right there. If anything I idolized Sakuta for being able to be so blunt yet likeable. Mai was a real treasure along with the rest of the cast so when the time came for Mai to do what she did, I broke tears. The lore, the setting and the tone. Consistent throughout, I was able to hate characters with a passion. That means they are doing something right here.
Btooom took me on a frustrating journey because i guess i could feel the characters frustrations. Each character's backstory was told in the right amount of time instead of dumping it all at once in the form of flashbacks through and through. However one thing that bothers me the most is these weapons, you'll know when you see the show. Thats the only unsettling thing. The starting felt so cheap but im glad i stuck around. Ended up watching in one day.

There has been quite a buzz with this show, memes and all. So i gave the show a shot after everyone moved on. Let me just say that besides the tone rollercoaster(which is appreciated actually) that some may find bothersome. This show genuinely made me smile, I felt happy with each passing episode. Im writing this after finishing all the OVAs, movies and finally Steins Gate 0. Let me just offer you the viewer just one piece of advice, and that is "give them some time". Starting out, the show does make that much sense with chracters randomly saying complex stuff.
BUT once this show lays its foundation it goes nuts, Everything makes sense at once and getting there feels so good. You appreciate the show more. Now for the show, its simply amazing with each and every character with however strange they are, they have purpose. Jokes, action, serious, smarty moments. this anime has it all. Skeptical on continuing Steins Gate? Sure, how could it get any better, well it does......
NOte: pls watch in release order to really appreciate this since this isn't really S2 per say and id go so far as to say that you need to see the OVAs and MOVIES to truly understand the motivations behind the actions here. Starting with Stein's Gate I never intended to get this far. I thought id take my time but low and behold. All this series' works blew me away, the consistency throughout everything. Characters strong like this isn't common, mostly overshadowed by cool action or some superpower as their character but ...

I just wanted to say that SPY X Family reminds me of the reason I liked anime. I've been on and off anime recently and this show just put a smile on my face. Every episode just has this feel good vibe to it. There is this crazy balance of comedy, action and great character. Not to mention this animation that knows when to change. Its one of the reasons I always loved anime. The characters can say so much more with their facial expressions which is obviously limited IRL.
