I have the same trouble too. Everyone I meet in real life tends to gratify towards the well-known anime such as Naruto, FMA, etc., but I'm dying to meet a fan of sports anime too.

It's quite an emotional ride. Definitely lmk how you're liking when you start.

Finally someone who doesn't hate him. Furuya's theme and that impact sound they give his fastball always give me the chills. I like Diamond no Ace for the exact same reason. I'm still amazed at how well and quickly they were able to bring in the new 3rd years and immediately give them their stories so that it didn't feel like a huge chunk of the cast was missing. If you get in the mood for another long running baseball anime definitely give Major a look.
