Still early in the anime, but it seems promising.
Our characters feature a girl who loves to tease: Nagatoro, and a boy falling for her relentless traps and taunts: Naoto. The premise seems a bit 'eh' until you actually watch the anime.
Nagatoro is actually not outright bullying him in ways that would make her character unappealing. She has fun observing his quiet, tender, sensitive nature (that's so much different from her own) and more so mentally tests him, embarrassing him with her every action. On the other hand, Naoto is an entirely different species. He wants to be the noble knight ready to boldly say
...
whatever is on his mind, but unfortunately, (and contrary to the main character of his manga) he is shy, jittery, and easy to meddle with. This dynamic between the two makes the anime a not entirely 'new' but satisfactory comedy. Nagatoro's taunting smirk is an absolute gem, while Naoto's panting, blushing face is also an icon.
Our poor virgin senpai is also experiencing new things with Nagatoro through her brazen tricks. My hope is that Nagatoro changes Naoto to be more confident and internally stronger throughout the anime. Maybe we can hope for some romance as well.
While this anime might be taken as a 'guilty pleasure' I'm inclined to look on the bright side and say that it has much more meaning then that.
