I am watching anime for about ten years now. It all started because I went to university, was bored and had access to internet. The first anime I watched that time was Tokyo Mew Mew and I still have very fond memories of it (Ryou ♥).
I am not picky when it comes to genre, I like a lot of different things. What matters to me the most is the story and the characters. There's a lot of anime I still have to see, but there's enough time since I don't ever plan to give up on this hobby.
I am not critical in my ratings, because most of the time I honestly enjoy the series I'm watching. Thus my ratings are completely subjective. I'm quite surprised by the number of people who rate a lot of series low. Am I so easy to please or are people so hard to please, that is the question. *makes a cool Hamlet's pose*
The anime I like the most is, surprisingly... Code Geass~ The story fascinates me, I love the characters, art is pleasing to my eyes and I enjoy the music. It contains everything from sweet school comedy through tearful drama and interesting plot-twists up to crazy mecha action. For me, Code Geass truly is a masterpiece.
I read manga a little bit, I especially like survival genre. Except that I also like visual novels, mainly otome. Bishies paradise, how could I say no to that. My dream is to make a visual novel on my own. If I can make a living out of it one day, I'll be truly happy. I have to work on my art though.
Now it was me who took ages to reply, sorry : p Been quite busy lately, I haven't been to MAL in, like, two weeks.
That game is indeed quite nice, one of the nicest I've seen around. I love those backgrounds, feels like we could really make a light novel with them : ) Could use more hair-styles, though. Thanks for sharing it! (^_^)
You're right, I actually developed my story around the characters. Having a strong image of the character in mind really helps a lot. If it's a picture, better yet. I actually had pictures (stolen xD) for my MCs and I would look at them from time to time while making my story. Really helps!
Oh, you're moving abroad? Sounds tough, things like language and all. Hope everything goes well for you and that you can settle down really quickly! Hang in there!
Thank ya thank ya! ^-^ I'm really glad there are others out there who love different types of challenges and workin' towards completin' 'em =D I honestly wasn't sure if it was just me XD lols~
You had the same idea, really? THat's funny! :D I bet I won't be doing a VN any time soon, so I doubt I'll be the first ; ) Anyway, I'm sure that someone somewhere might have done that already before us.

I don't have an iPad/iPhone so I don't know about that game. Still, it's funny, I've been looking for and trying similar tools like that for ages. But they are all very basic and allow very little customization. Nevertheless, I actually used proboards forum avatar maker ( http://www.proboards.com/resources/images/beta/new/avatarmaker.png ) to create my characters, just for fun. I was not that satisfied with them but it was fun and when I found Pete, the artist who made CF manga oneshot, I send him the avatars I've made for reference. And the supporting characters actually turned out looking a bit like them, only much better thanks to Pete's great art-style xD
Oh, I'm not participating on those challenges. Actually, I don't know much about them. I like to read the things I like, at my own pace (which is very slow), so I'm certain I wouldn't be able to complete the challenges.
Every test I've taken says I'm an INTP. >_< It's very accurate what it says. I wish I could say some things were different, but nope, they are all right. XD
Yea, they're even worse in real life. They're really bad at English. Some of them really gets nervous even goes to panic mode when someone tries to talk to them in English. (for example a foreigner asked them a question - they would really panic, and feel helpless because they are really helpful in nature and they feel really bad if they aren't able to help you because they can't speak the language)
I like nature, I really love to live in a place like yours when I'm old and retired. Just faraway from all the cancerous things (lol).
Hmmm, I visited Kyoto yeah but I didn't get to visit a lot of places. I got to go to various temples, I can't really the remember most of their names but they're really beautiful. (My most favorite would be the Arashiyama and Sagano district - the Tenryuji temple is amazing, especially if you visit the place on spring or fall - cherry blossoms or ashburn red maple trees)
Can't really remember any traditions like that here, one tradition that I always participate in yearly is the Fall festival. We will carry a 5-6 ton shrine with 25-40 people all day, and at the end of the day we will battle other shrine carriers by bumping into them, last shrine standing wins.

You moved abroad? Wow, where did you move?
The cherry blossoms here only lasted 3-5days because it was so windy. Didn't get to enjoy them that much because of work :(
