Mixed Feelings
This manga was short and sweet and ended on a good note. The art was pretty good, in that typical yaoi style. Especially since this is a one-shot, I'm glad the author didn't try too hard to force a deeper/more complex story. All-around good stuff.

since I need more words, the black-haired guy is called kushima (his eyes are cool) and the blonde hair writer guy is tokitou, who kushima always calls sensei. this one shot is not hardcore yaoi. sex scene was very very short and wasn't lewd. It is lighthearted. I should stop writing reviews for one shots because of this stupid word minimum.

Shinobi Life (Manga) add
When I first saw the tags for Shinobi Life, I was surprised. A shoujo manga with ninjas and time travelling? Shinobi Life has a great premise. Unfortunately, as with time travel plots, not much happens, instead most of the manga is spent figuring out the current situation. Everything starts going downhill after chapter 22, because it starts getting repetitive, which leads me to my second point: the events that happen in the manga are contrived as hell. It's like all logic is thrown out of the window just to have have one character meet another and to add more drama and plot points.

Nevertheless, I ...

Interval Zero (Manga) add
Interval Zero talks about Kadokura from Junketsu Drop, but has nothing to do with the original. I was originally happy this manga had some buildup before the actual romace/ero parts but while I was reading I was just unimpressed with the whole setup and conclusion. In my opinion, Kadokura seems like a completely different person from what we've seen of him before, his family situation is a total asspull, the whole romance made zero sense.
The plot is a shitfest especially towards the end. The whole load of crap with his former senpai was useless. Can I talk about how much I hated the ending? I ...

Junketsu Drop (Manga) add
This isn't shounen-ai, its yaoi. It's not bad by any standards, just standard yaoi fare but I felt reading this wasted my time. The story is piss-poor, it's just the normal 'oh my god don't rape me' to 'why do I like this' to 'I love you too', you know, typical stuff. It was okay hot, not too cute or fluffy, basically it was average. The art is nice I guess. The only thing I found enjoyable in the manga was the whole seme/uke situation, but it wasn't explored, and half the time they were fucking, it was boring. (3 is a low score, but ...

Wow, that was good. -Kizuna- was okay but in comparison -Yakusoku- was more fulfilling. This second movie also adapts season 2 of the anime, but from Rin's perspective and with some added scenes. The movie gave us insights into Sosuke, Rin and the other kids from Samezuka. Basically you'll switch from cheering for the Iwatobi boys to screaming for Samezuka bishies to win. So much hype.

I rewatched Starting Days before watching this and boy, I'm glad I did. Our lovely boys Ikyua, Asahi and Kisumi return, looking mature and handsome as ever. What makes this film so great is the foreshadowing, or closure that the ...

I watched this movie, hoping it would recall my memories of Free before I started the 3rd season. It didn't really work, because it recapped the 2nd season and skipped over the 1st season. What I did then was read Wikipedia summaries. Actually I should've just read all the summaries and jumped right into season 3. Yeah, that was a whole 1h30min gone. For the extra scenes, the other reviewers have commented on them. I forgot 90% of what happens in the original series so I don't really know which ones were the extra scenes and how significant they were.

Overall the movie was pretty ...

Deguchi has always loved Onada. Will Onada respond to his feelings? With this simple premise, "Soredemo, Yasashii Koi wo Suru" paints a sweet and satisfing romance between two grown men. You might remember Onada from "Doushitemo Furetakunai", the parent story... praise to the lord, he finally gets the closure he deserves. If you're looking to see more Shima and Togawa, well, I'll just say Togawa doesn't really appear.
The strong point of this manga is realistic exchanges and behavior. You know those typical mangas where the boy loves the girl for no fucking reason or everyone is a sex god in bed? None of that happens ...

Mixed Feelings
7 for enjoyment.
This should be tagged shounen ai, boys love, yaoi or whatever you want to call it.

To start off, I love this manga. It's a nice, short, enjoyable read. Unfortunately the biggest problem with the manga is the plot. It's all over the place. It started off as a gender bender fantasy, then there were a supernatural episode, then it ends with a sweet romance.

There were times where I didn't know what the manga was trying to show. Also, I appreciate the spotlight on lgbt issues, but the end parts felt a little cheesy and forced. With more planning, the execution of themes ...

Preliminary (13/30 chp)
I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this manga. As a light novel reader, I love this and would 100% recommend this to eveyone, even those who have read the light novel.
Yamada Kotaro did an amazing job adapting the light novels. Even from the first chapter, you could see how he made the story his own and how he adds little touches to make it suit a manga format. (Edit: could be Reki Kawahara supervising the project and him adding the details. I don’t know, but I love I!) Can’t say too much, but the scenery, the relationships between the characters, their personalities, ...

Mixed Feelings
I’m glad it was just a one-shot. The art was very pretty.

I heard many people complaining it was unoriginal and predictable... I went in with an open mind. All I can say, if you’ve ever touched shoujo manga, or even romances in general, you will know the ending and how it will lead up to it. The gimmick was revealed too early and too obviously. And it was a little rushed at the end.

To improve this manga I think senpai’s “words” should be moved to the start. And maybe the gimmick written on paper, without the boy commenting on it. Also, there ...
