Ookamikakushi isn't that great. That being said I've seen way worse and much more boring shows. I initially watched this after hearing that Ryukishi07 worked on the Visual Novel this was adapted from. I'm sure the visual novel is much much better than the anime, although to be honest I am not interested in reading it. Not because I don't like visual novels but because the story just doesn't really intrigue me enough.

Story - 5
It wasn't that great in my opinion. I had a hard time caring about anything that was going on and a lot wasn't really explained well. It seemed like they ... just had a bunch of ideas and threw them together. Also in response to the person who left a review saying this was a slice of life, no this is not a slice of life at all. It's horror but kind of a boring horror anime. It had enough going on that I kept watching but I felt like it was hard to pay attention to.

Art - 6
It was serviceable. It wasn't terrible just sort of bland. There was some animation errors here and there and one of the main girls design I thought was kind of ugly. It had very average art. There were times it did look bad though.

Sound - 3
Sound design in this show wasn't very good at all. Lot's of cheesy sound effects, some of which were straight up stolen from higurashi. The opening and ending weren't terrible but just okay. At times I felt some of the fx was misplaced. The voice acting was average.

Character- 5
It was really hard to care about any of the characters. There were 2 I liked and thought were somewhat cute but I even then I found it hard to give a shit about them. The main guy is one of the most boring characters. I really only liked the Nemuru and Mana. I can't even remember any of the other characters names. Most of the characters are very forgettable.

Enjoyment -5
I can't say that I really enjoyed this series. I almost dropped it at first but I decided to give it the 3 episode rule. By the 3rd episode it felt interesting enough to keep watching but was still hard to really pay attention to.

Overall - 5
Well I guess I don't regret watching it but I can't say I enjoyed it either. It was a very disappointing show. Especially bad considering its supposed to be a horror/mystery and those are some of my favorites genres of media. Boring show that has some mildy interesting moments. I feel like it did have some good ideas that could have been done better. It seemed interesting at first glance, but after reading the other reviews I lowered my expectations and I have to say it was better than I thought it would be at least.
