It's always the same with this anime series, only peak writing, peak animation, peak humour and suspense. This season we get closer to our goal which is "What's behind the petrification?" and as crazy as it sounds slowly step by step we finally see new paths of knowledge lighting up.
The characters are beyond well written, the more characters we get, the better the plot gets (max W if you ask me) especially the villains. I won't spoil but I could never predict what will happen each episode except if it was properly explained obviously.
As I wrote in my other reviews, the soundtrack is
...
forever perfect here, it just brings layers to the anime so easily and perfectly, the new openings are great too, not 10/10 let's be honest but they're really good. I like how the OST is used just the right amount all the time, they're not using it too less or too much and whenever you hear it, it has meaning each time.
Now to get back on the characters I really love the dynamics between them and how they all grow together and learn from each other it's stunningly beautiful how human those fictional people are. Genuinely both the good, the bad, and the ugly it's just so realistic and well executed.
One thing I miss the most is that the more complex things get the less explanation we are fed, which is what made me fall in love with this series at first. Seeing Senku making ramen and getting every each ingredient was something so exciting to me but obviously they'd have to pass some steps to gain time now and all so, I have to accept it just the way it is.
Some minus points, every man in this is so unique in my eyes but women all have the same physique except when they're children now, don't give me the argument "Artist has this habit because he used to draw this and that" I'm just saying, it's sad that we only get to see one type of woman throughout everything but with different hair and face (not saying they're bad looking, of course not). Hoping to see more variety next!!
Shorter, this season was VERY satsifying to me, I loved every second and got emotional when the anime intended viewers to be. it's doing its job well, plot is exceptionally nicely paced and I WANT THE SEASON FOUR NOW DAMN IT!!
Cyall on the final part of this masterpiece

Shiki Souma, Mima Takayuki, Igarashi Motoharu, Ichikura Hayate and Futami Shun all have one thing in common besides being a male. They're both really clumsy, not in the sense where they'd fall 24 7 but they get into embarassing situations tons of times per day. You know when your pants aren't perfectly zipped and everyone notices besides you ? That's their everyday life.
You're looking for a warm and wholesome anime ? Cool Doji Danshi should be the perfect match ! The episodes are short yet always fun to watch and without noticing you'll be hooked to this cute story! The characters will all meet
...
your expectations and if you're into Ikemen, or some cute japanese heart throbs well, this is the right one for sure!
Our 5 characters have very specific personalities, we have the stylish guy Shiki Souma, Mima Takayuki the office worker, Igarashi Motoharu the popular writer, Ichikura Hayate the university student who's not so sure of himself and finally Futami Shun the atheltic guy. They all deal with their embarassing yet cute clumsiness differently and as you'll watch you'll either have a favorite or you'll love all of them !
The art is like the story, simple. But the style being a bit plain makes you want to add details to them. It's like wearing a white outfit and craving to add an accessory ! Which makes it even more endearing xD The characters communicate very well together and they have such an affectionate and adorable relationship together. It's comforting, soft and VERY heart warming. Whenever one of them feels down there's always another helping them to feel better (if not all of them). This anime is THE comfort anime.
This anime soothes me and even if the plot is simple this is proof that "the simplier the better" should be more praised. It's effective and it gives what every anime should give, comfort! So if you're searching for some endearing characters and beautiful art style this is the one !

This is the story of a man lost in time, lost in his own memories and still regretting what could have happened if he acted differently at a specfific time in his life.
It's also the story of a 3 billion years old memory girl.
I enjoyed the art, right after finishing reading that in one sitting, it's like my brain was deep fried than put in the freezer. This manga is very complex and has a lot of layers in just 9 chapters but it's definitely worth trying. The way the story enrolls feels pretty natural, the narrator tells his life how it is, and
...
he does it good.
I don't have anything else to say besides, it's hard to understand but it's still a good story.

Advice? Don't.
This anime will bring nothing to you except pure frustration. You think at least the male characters are nice? No. They're just made of nothingness and it does not get detailed at all. We just have their facade image until the very end. Welcome to Hiiro no Kakera! You get failure girl, crybaby guy, sleepy guy, upset guy, short guy and Adult man!
DO NOT watch. Again I'm telling you this, the story isn't worth it but if you just want to play something while you're busy, surely this anime will fulfill its duty. Well, not even but it'll make you less bored than you
...
already were I guess.
One thing that was good is the opening which I haven't skipped even once so props to the anime for having ONE good thing !
I have lost hours of my life to check if this was really bad and trust me the reviews are right, don't.

This may or may not contain spoilers
Before starting with everything that got me a bit "disappointed", I'll start with the amazing side of Miyazaki's last movie, "The boy and the heron" that I watched in theater on the 29th of October 2023.
First and foremost the art is beyond wonderful. I got chills from both the soundtrack and the animation. Whenever Mahito has flashbacks from his mother, I was speechless. Beyond that the whole movie got me speechless it terms of art. Since the story takes place in various worlds, the buildings, the landscapes, the nature, is so diverse yet so splendid. We have a look
...
at Japan during war and it's very accurate (art wise). Again on the music, the violins, the piano, the suspenseful harmonies got me all on the edge of my seat. I was waiting so hard to understand everything that was happening!
Now onto what I enjoyed from this story. It's a given that Miyazaki is well, old now. At the age of 82 I was expecting a movie of the sort, where life and death are the main topics. Here Mahito is mourning his mother that has now passed away 3 years ago from a fire where she was hospitalized. He moved out of Tokyo with his father to live with his step-mom but gets bullied at school and pierces his head with a stone to skip classes. Throughout the whole film, he questions himself on death and life mostly because he's searching and missing his mother. But when given the possibility to change everything about the world, he sees the wrong in himself and declines which I found honorable. I also like the fact that he's given the choice to either make the world better or worse and that some creatures here represent the uglier side of humanity (the parakeets). They show us how selfish we can be and the consequences that we have to face after such behavior. The art makes me think a lot about shintoism, especially some scenes and creatures remind me of "The river Styx" another great aspect of this film that adds more meaning to it.
Also I feel like the japanese title fits way better than the english one, "How will you live?" regarding what the movie is about as said above. It's a metaphor of life and us human beings. We yearn for more and forget to accept the harsh truth that life shouldn't be taken as granted. To live in harmony with oneself and others through grief and pain or happiness. This is about accepting life as it is, living true to reality and somehow abandon the past. As the heron says "It's okay to forget, everyone will forget at some point".
Now what didn't sit right with me.
It was a lot to understand and I think you have to watch it multiple times (I was very focused and still had a tough time), and some situations feel almost like they have nothing in common? As if they were patchworked together and made into one. We start in the reality to then another world where Himi is alive but Mahito doesn't recognize her and when he does, he isn't shocked in any way..? What is that tomb?? Why did they have to walk but never look back when doing so?? Next when the Heron pulls his prank Mahito still befriends him? His father is having a child with his sister in law but he still sees her as his now mother even though it's been a few days after they live together..? Add onto this that she frankly says that she hates him. Why that less explanation on the parakeets and the other creatures?
It was a great movie but I still feel a bit lost so be aware of that! I enjoyed it very much and want to rewatch it to understand it better, please do as well!

You want to know the truth so bad but is it really worth it? Will knowing it fulfill your desire of destroying the unknown instead of living in ignorance?
The 3rd season of Shingeki no Kyojin had me in a chokehold. I was gasping for air throughout every episode. Yearning for the truth to be revealed but as soon as I knew what was going on, it's like it's not worth knowing it anymore. Just like Eren, Mikasa and Armin were saying : "Will it bring back the old days?" And the answer is obviously, no.
Beyond the fact that the plot is incredibly well written,
...
I still think that there were moments where we could have turned the situation around (for example when the choice of revival was made, why not split the liquid and revive both since as seen before, Historia's father only had a small sip of it.) Grisha Jaeger... What a man. I'm at loss of words and can't wait to see how Eren will change from all the memories he'll live.
Now the soundtrack does its job perfectly but I do think the openings are... Good. I know it's almost as if there's no flaw but, there really almost isn't. The art is what I appreciate the most though. The shading, the colors, the line art... Everything is so well thought on each frame that I'm left speechless (except for the colossal titan... that CGI didn't age well but honestly it's not that bad, just not as perfect as the rest.)
I can't say I'm happy about the loss we experienced during this season but, I'm pleased that one character finally brought up the darkest side of humanity which we rarely see THIS strong. When all we see are brave soldiers that may doubt themselves here and there, we got to stay in touch with how surreal everything is. We need a reminder that, the protagonists are human beings facing such a terrifying situation. And this season does the job well.
Just to add a bit more to how the story evolves, I think it was very fast but again this is pretty much how SNK works so... The fact that we can't digest anything and just have to live through it all is a "good" thing to me. It's like we're one of the characters. Though I do think that the truth should have been made clearer because it's pretty messy. And because of that, some points aren't getting across us, so please watch multiple times if needed.
Was it a good season? Of course. Would I go through it again? Yeah, I'm into emotional rollercoasters. Recommend? OBVIOUSLY!

I've been putting SNK for years because of all the spoilers and the fact that I knew it'd be a harsh ride... And boy was I right it's a harsh ride.
Though the thing that keeps me going is the thrill, everything is so well paced and well written that I can't stop yearning to know what's next. It's almost like an addiction. The characters are really loveable (if it's even a word lol), especially the protagonists! Eren is sometimes an idiot but you can't hate him.
Now putting the story aside, the art is so good for when it was made, I'm still speechless. The colors,
...
how dynamic the frames are and how different the line art is from other anime really struck me!
So, I'll recommend it! But please be emotionally ready, don't get too attached.

Doctor Stone : New World pt.1 was good ! Very good!
It's just like the other seasons, great art, good comedy, a lot of fun, god tier OST, mix everything together and you get this 8/10 season !
With its end, you can't wait for the rest and honestly I'm pretty excited for the next season coming in October. I don't have much to say except that you should definitely give it a try !
The rythm of the episodes are a bit... well let's say it gets better the more you watch lol. Love the bonding between the characters, and also the new ones !
...
It's beautiful to see them understand each other even better than before ! Love that !
Just another very good season !

Akatsuki no Yona starts off pretty annoying but I swear continue and you'll find the show growing on you till you realize you're watching the last episode.
I watched a lot of shoujos and honestly this one has a good plot, and the pacing is just beautifully done. The characters have a great development, their personalities are really unique too which makes this anime more enjoyable considering the topic. It'd be easy to have boring characters but instead, they all hold a special spot in the plot.
But most importantly what truly saved this show, the OST. I swear on everything the sound in this anime is
...
unreal. It gives me goosebumps. Every. Darn. Episode. The art is also great, if this isn't enough to conquer you then what can?
Also, I thought it was boring at first because everyone talked about it, so if you are just like me, be sure to check it out !
9/10 Because it's great but, I can't consider it a masterpiece. It moved me but not to the point where I'd ball my eyes out.

"Dumplings over flowers"
Shouwa Genroku is a tale about two men who pursue the career of storyteller, 'rakugo'. Throughout 13 episodes you'll go through so much emotions, grief, joy, wrath... As life enrolls, our values are constantly being tested, it's like a contest on who's going to give them up first. And our protagonist Sukeroku, would be the worst contender.
Sukeroku and Kikuhito are two young men who since childhood decided to practice arts, mostly for life. But as they grow older they face more and more challenges.
Art is an art itself, and to perform, create and make your audience enjoy your work, the best
...
way is to move them, shake them to their core. To summon someone's emotion is also summoning your own. But how do you get to such a level? And what do you have to keep or throw away to give a great performance? They'll discover the way an artist lives as they become artists themselves.
Now that this is said a brief summary of my thoughts. As an artist myself (that's my job lol) and even as a person, I totally relate to that show. Sometimes in real life you'll encounter some situations where you'll think "why is it happening?", "wouldn't it be easier like this?". Or feel like the solution is simple to make but, people around you don't think the same. This is one of the many reasons I enjoyed this show. They portrait life just like it is, honestly and perfectly.
The art obviously is amazing. What I appreciate the most is the jazzy ost (jazz lovers turn up). The animation is so smooth and feels heart-warming. A 10/10 !
The plot seems simple at first but as it goes on, it gets intricate. Love the unfloding right here. 9/10 !
So yes, recommended 100% I'll be honest I'm not a fan of rakugo, nor am I after finishing this, but the story is just so good that I want to hear more of it !
