Tomie getting into trouble with men as always, leaving these poor boys in love and literally wanting to kill her for love... I really liked the stories and I understand why it became a Ito's classic, Junji Ito can turn any beautiful girl into a potential monster or demon, that's what I think is cool about the author. Next stop, Uzumaki!!

Dissolving Classroom is a collection of stories involving two very controversial siblings... Yuuma is the older brother, submissive to his younger sister Chizumi.
His submission is due to the things that Chizumi does, where he always tries to take the blame and take responsibility for his sister's things. The problem is that with each apology that our dear Yuuma makes, the brain of whoever hears it starts to melt... Not to mention that with each compliment that Yuuma gives to a girl, it makes her face and skin melt, leaving ... her disfigured and hideous, deluded by the boy's lies.

Chizumi is the real Satan, since she was born through the relationship between her mother and the devil himself. Not to mention that when her parents died, the girl, still a baby, ended up tasting the brains of her parents who had gone out, where it became her favorite drink (or whatever I can call it), becoming addicted and having to make her brother work to get melted brains.

Now speaking of the manga, I really liked the story. Being my third Junji Ito's manga, I felt that here the real horror begins, I felt this had very good and creative ideas, I really liked that all the stories were connected to the characters, making them practically become one with different points of view. Unfortunately, I didn't get attached to any character, but I felt that in Ito's works this must be normal, I don't know if we should create some kind of affection for the characters.

I'm satisfied with the reading, I hope my next mangas by Master Ito are even better and make me fall even more in love with this universe.

I don't know why I read this Manga again...

This was the first manga I read of the master of Horror Junji Ito, coincidentally this being one of the weakest mangas he has ever done. I'm only logging that manga again because I just read an English translation of it, I don't know why I did it, but I did.

The best story in this manga is definitely "The Seashore", being one of the scariest in the entire manga (in my opinion)

The manga is very light for a Junji Ito horror, being great for non-Horror readers and beginners in this new universe, but I feel that it ... is a bit of a thorn in the side because whoever reads this manga and bases Junji Ito only on that, will think that his stories are stupid like these.

"Fragments of Horror" is certainly the best manga (and collection) to start in this world of our beloved Mangaka...

Whispering Woman being the best story in this collection>>>

I started Junji Ito's with "Mimi's Ghost Stories" and thought the collection very weak and bland, but with this one I ended up liking it more. They have stories with good and even interesting themes (somewhat suggestive) that managed to come out of a mind that had been without drawing stories for about 8 years (as he says at the end of the Manga).

I feel that the best of the stories was "Whispering Woman", having a very interesting theme, something that I thought the other stories lacked a little (I liked "Lingering Farewell" and "Black Bird" a ... little, but I don't think they surpass "Whispering Girl")

I hope my journey with Ito's long and perfect, I'm diving head first into the horror universe of our beloved Mangaka

I saw everyone saying it was a traumatic manga, etc., I only saw grotesque and meaningless images with a negligible story. I wasted my time reading this shit, I hope you all die.

What's the plot about this? Every chapter has an r*pe scene or some p*dophille act with the main character

Ringu, but the curse is mentally ill teenagers

It gave me a kind of Ringu vibe, where people need to keep passing the curse to another in an infinite cycle. Saya did the same as Mitsuko (all the others), survived a mass suicide and must create her own suicide club, becoming a new Mitsuko and passing this curse on to the next girl who survives the suicide, which happened to Kioko.

I thought the manga should have evolved more. Kioko narrates the events before the subway incident, and ends up investigating what Saya is doing. What we imply is that in the end she carried this "curse", ... since she survived the fall, but the manga ends right there, without evolving and giving a concrete ending.

I feel like the manga was missing something, that it was just a fair ending and that it wasn't an open ending. It could have shown who the first Mitsuko was, how it started, etc.
