What if you were to win a prize and it turned out to be the chance to fulfill every perverted fantasy that you ever had? That is basically what Behind Closed Doors is about. Kenichi and Yoshino are given this prize and it forever changes their lives. I cannot think of a fetish such as nurses, innocent virgins, & impregnation that are not served up at some place in the 3 episodes. While original made in 2001, it was not released to the North American market until 2005. With that being true, the characters are very fluid and has good coloring for most. If you read more

Step Sister is another H title that reuses the old plot device of a masochistic Male controlling others by under handed means. The main character, Kyosuke acts without regard to anyone but himself. But this, as mentioned before is a common H theme. The idea that his stepsister, Yuna is over 18 as translated in the English Dub, must have been changed from the original. She appears as a lolicon character at best. If you have any aversions to some unusual sexual practices, this is one you might want to avoid. The character of Megumi, the step mother,is far more interesting in the 2 OVA's. read more

Sex Warrior Pudding is one of the funniest Hentai I've seen since Darling came out a couple of years ago. It parodies everything from Magical Girls to Mecha during the 3 episodes of the series. It plays out very much like some Bishoujo game gone weird. Our hero, Shuta has his way with all of the major characters but professes to love only the title character of Pudding. The colors are bright and the art work and characters are very attractive and well animated. If you like Hentai parodies of other anime genre, Sex Warrior Pudding is of the better I've seen.

Swallowtail Inn is a nice change of pace for what we are seeing with most Hentai these days. The 2 part series is extremely well drawn, there appears to be no reuse of parts of scenes, and all characters look fantastic. Even better is the fact that the OVA was created in a wide screen format, making it look even better. The heroine of the story is struggling to keep an Inn that she ran with her husband open, and she is willing to do what ever is necessary to keep it open. Kenji, a chef that had studied under the heroine's late husband comes read more

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo was one of the big surprises of the 2005 summer season. When I first heard of the show, it first reminded me of the 1960’s U.S. Television Series, Bewitched. But I'm happy to say that it turned out to be a very different type of show. I am not a fan of magical girl anime, but I really enjoyed this one. It was nice to see a show that was as character driven as much as it was. Personally, I did not find the fan-service offensive but it was repetitive. Other than a couple of places where stock footage was used read more

Futari Ecchi meets (a reverse) Onegai Teacher in a different twist of the genre. The series finished up, but still left some unanswered questions laying around. The series live up to the potential that it had and even though it does have a lot of fan service, it’s of a tolerable nature. I am glad to see that they are staying somewhat close to the manga, but it did not (so far) follow the manga exactly. The manga has some rather sexually explicit chapters in its later volumes (especially volume 5). In that way it is similar to Futari Ecchi's manga (another personal favorite). read more

Milk Junkies is a Hentai title that is rare these days. I liked all the characters, could believe the story, and got a laugh after watching all of the episodes. In addition, all of the sex in the 4 OVAs is consensual and wanted by all parties involved. Not to mention it is kind of sweet in its own way. It's a story of someone coming of age after being reunited with some of his favorite people from his past with a twist. It seems our friend has become very fascinated with large breasted women and it just so happens that his childhood friends Tomoka read more

Being an H-title, The animation is good and all of the female characters are attractive, which is necessary for this type of anime. The plot is some what familiar in this type of anime, blackmail for something the main male lead seems to want. A difference with this title is the fact that it managed to keep my interest during all 3 parts. It turns out to be a rather good drama and has a decent story to it. I would suggest that you watch it with the original Japanese audio and the English subs. The English voices I found to be annoying, just like read more

Futari Ecchi is an Adult ecchi comedy about people who really love each other. During the course of the series, they are learning to accept each other for the good and bad about themselves. Yes, there is some ecchiness in the 4 OVA's like the title suggests. However, very few animes have ever captured what it is really like to be married in the way that it has done. Off the top of my head, probably only Onegai Teacher did as good of job as Futari Ecchi in portraying the awkwardness of two people coming together in marriage for what ever reason in Anime during read more

FLCL (Anime) add (All reviews)
Being the long time anime fan that I am, I love it when I watch something that stops me dead in my tracks when I watch it. FLCL was one of those animes. The first time I watched it, I was like a lot of people and just kind said to myself, "What in the world was that?!?! After viewing now several times, I still see things that I missed before.
It is a coming of age story unlike you have ever seen before or will see again I am willing to wager. Much has been written on the web and in the media about this, read more
