Both stories include lore-centric worlds with a new mystery around every corner, a collection of charming and menacing characters you can't help but root for, and absolutely batshit insane stories written by authors who were probably on crack. Karakuri Circus focuses largely on worldbuilding and crafting its secrets to be revealed hundreds of chapters away, while Fourteen goes full force into its madness from chapter 1. It's like an immovable object versus an unstoppable force, but if the object was an incel puppet master with a dog and the force was a Cambridge University professor with 12 PhDs and the head of a chicken. If you're psychotic enough to enjoy one of these series, I can't imagine you wouldn't enjoy the other one too.

Lighthearted on the surface, but they both have deep and meaningful relations to growing up and how one's interactions with others shapes them.

Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

Eromanga Sensei has a big harem sex whatever thing going on, but in the end it still has a whole second plot story going on about a writer writing, and an artist arting. It explores interests with interesting characters, which Eizouken does as the main focus of the show.

Both animes were pretty... Up to interpretation? I think there's a lot to take in for both. Many people have many opinions, and I think the way you process both of these anime will either make or break your enjoyment of them. I'm sure we all know which one is more entertaining to watch (Sorry, Midvangelion), but they're both very interesting stories that I think everyone should see at some point.

Both animes have very interesting and honestly deep takes on sexuality, as well as the relationships between each of the characters. They both have their fair share of comedy, while still being captivating enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. Overall, I think if you liked Maid anime, you would for sure like Beastars for almost every reason.

The main character of both are very similar. Like, to the point that I just call the MC of Nagatoro "Kazuya". I think this is just him in high school.
