Theres no doubt about it that this anime's art is simply out of this world. The animation style is to die for and there's no part of the anime where the animation doesn't do its own thing.

This short animation shows the development of Takao and Yukari together in a soft and light way. This is definitely a slice of life anime with no action allowing it to focus more on the psychological aspect of the show. However, it may make the story less appealing as the 'drama' aspect isn't that strong and impactful (except for the ending). Putting that aside, I know many people ... enjoy stories that give off this type of vibe so in my opinion it is one of those type of anime where you like it or hate it (similar to Violet Evergarden).

The songs chosen for this anime also fit the feel of the anime really well. During the ending, they chose a good song that helped build up tension with the scene. Even during the body of the anime, they choose lots of soft songs that blended into the background well in my opinion.

This anime also uses rain as symbolism in many different aspects. Its meaning changed throughout the story giving it more dept and meaning that's hidden underneath. It's very well written in that sense as it accomplishes a heartwarming feel at the end for the viewers.

Either way, I think that it would be good to watch despite that because you will never know if you enjoy it or not, even if you don't prefer this light feel type anime.

This anime was a rollercoaster. The beginning is quite rough and to me seemed rlly rushed however, the overall plot is interesting and amusing. This anime is about Setsu basically trying to find his own sound after his grandfathers death. There are many difficulties that Setsu faces in this anime and it shows how he overcomes them to truly understand himself more.

You don't need any prior knowledge about music to watch this anime as they don't go technical when talking about the shamisen. It's mainly about the sound they produce which can appeal to any audience. This anime has a really soft aesthetic and ... feel in the first half of the anime when they are merely exploring the shamisen however when the anime gets more serious and has more conflicts involved the art helps leave a more powerful impact on the viewer. The addition with the music also helps complete the viewing experience which makes it so fulfilling to watch.

The characters each held their own personalities and values however characters such as Yui wasn't written in a memorable way even though she is part of their team. I think that they should've added more backstory to her character and to Rai even though they are only supporting.

Overall, this anime was really enjoyable despite some rough patches here and there but there's no such thing as a perfect anime. I think that anyone can enjoy it as it has a heartfelt feel towards it even though it does play with your emotions a bit at the end.
