If an anime can make you feel truly sorry for a character, and if the anime can make you genuinely cry (even if you don't cry often). I've never cried since I was about 8, after that I either swore or made grunting noises. If an anime can make you cry even just a little bit (like a single tear runs down your face) then that anime is a true masterpiece. Actually, even the feeling as if your about to cry is hard to achieve as well. Only a few anime did this to me: Clannad, Clannad After Story, Angel Beats, and Steins;Gate. I've felt the need to cry in numerous anime, but I've never shed a tear like I did with those 4. What about you, what makes an anime so genuine?

Favorite anime from my least favorite genre huh.. hmm... that's tough. Because I don't really watch a single anime from genres I hate (That will change when I start to run out of anime). I'm not a big fan of sports anime... though I don't know any I've seen that I've liked.
