Grisaia - True, though dmmd was BL, and as a result, much more niche. I might also add that the Fate series is an eroge VN adaption. As is the ef series (though it isn't quite as popular). So, it isn't impossible for them to be big hits. I'm still leaning away from its inclusion in my team though.
Ookami reminds me of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun from the Fall 2012 season. It was under the radar as well (chosen by only 45 teams, 22%), but it finished as the #1 anime of the season. I think Ookami will be on less than 22% of teams, but it may have an outside shot at being a top 7 anime. Shoujo series can be tricky it seems. Now, if I considered this a potential 2x points anime, I'd definitely go for it. I think it is going to be on more than 3% of teams though. Maybe I'm wrong there.
As for Ronja, I didn't notice it was going to be CGI, so thanks for that. Though, Sidonia no Kishi finished 16th, had an 8+ score and didn't have Ghibli/Miyazaki attached to its name. I wouldn't count it out completely, though I'm leaning away from it as well because it is riskier. Again, don't think this one will be in 2x points because of the Ghibli/Miyazaki connection.
Is Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso's connection to Nodame Cantabile a bad thing though? NC is a top 100 ranked anime and top 250 in popularity. Plus, the High School setting will help its popularity on MAL more than an adult/college/etc setting.
Donten also doesn't have an air date yet, it seems. I learned my lesson with Pupa in that regard.
Akatsuki no Yona is the interesting one for me. With its September 28th release of the first two episodes. One of only three from my initial relevant anime list that start before the 5th (Terra Formars and Amagi Brilliant Park being the other two). Could give an early boost, but unfortunately, due to its early date, I doubt it can touch 2x point territory. Could be worth an early start and swap strategy if there is an extra spot on the team. Too bad, there are more than 7 anime I'd like on my team.
Trinity Seven is indeed interesting. Though Kirito's voice did SAO = Huge Success, then Arata Kangatari = Trash FAL Relevance, then NGNL = Huge Success, now Trinity Seven = Trash FAL Relevance? Maybe not, but it at least shows that he can't carry an anime alone. Plus, I can't remember a heavy Harem finishing FAL relevant since I've been doing this (start of 2012). The best I can remember was NouCome finishing 9th in the Fall 2013 season.
Denki Gai no Honya san's early start date makes it an interesting choice, though the PTW numbers are pretty low. I'm going to keep an eye on those over the next 10 days to see if any of them move up significantly as the season approaches.
These are the ones I think are more "obvious" than others and will be popular choices...
These are the ones that I am thinking have the best chance of rounding out my team along with the aforementioned four...
These are the others that I have had extended thought about. They are more iffy, but could produce some surprise successes...
I like the team I chose, but I needed to start them differently for sure. Aldnoah.Zero starting in Ao Haru Ride's place. Then an early switch Zankyou no Terror for DRAMAtical Murder. That would have been optimal for my team it seems. Since Ao Haru Ride started the second week (Monday) as did Zankyou no Terror (Thursday)

Akame ga Kill
Ao Haru Ride
Tokyo Ghoul
Glasslip
DRAMAtical Murder
Zankyou no Terror
Aldnoah.Zero
Decided to go with Alsnoah.Zero over Black Butler/Tokyo ESP for now. It could change. I think BB would be banned, but even if it wasn't, the PTW numbers aren't high enough as a sequel to make me comfortable picking it.
Barakamon seems to be a first week series too, btw.

That last spot was tough between Tokyo Kushu and Tokyo ESP. For now, I'm going Tokyo Kushu. It may change though. Like you said though, air dates are a game changer, so things may shake up a bit. I also kind of wanted to include the Ghibli series, but Miyazaki's son doesn't have the same type of reputation as his dad, so I held off.
