The series aired some 9 years ago, and writing this right now in early 2015, I guess it's safe for me to personally call this series the "Guilty Crown" of 2005/06.
[STORY: 8/10]
Just like GC, this was a wonderfully crafted original story. Looking around I see people giving this series up because the front few episodes were too boring or sub-standard. All I can say is that, they've missed out on the bigger picture altogether. Indeed, at the start it may seem as though the series was episodic, but trust me all that served as a build-up right till the finale. A suitable build-up too, if
...
I may add. All in all, I felt the story had a good flow to it and, on top of that, a really good ending (unlike certain series today).
[ART: 7/10]
Yes, yes... I know it's 2015 now. We're in the midst of the era of bishoujo appearing in every series we click on. But let's cut them some slack, shall we? For a series airing in 2005, the characters actually looked pretty decent. The action scenes were pretty well animated too. The thing about Original series is that the animation is usually consistent throughout the entire course, and that's what happened here.
[SOUND: 9/10]
Created in the period of time when Seiyuus (voice actors) were less celebrated than now, it was only natural that they fit the roles for the characters. Besides the cast, the background music and OST are magnificent. Nearly every scene had a BGM on it, and I'd have to say that each piece of music really fit the scenario, both in happy or sad times. I've already got the OST and it's pretty incredible, trust me.
[CHARACTER: 9/10]
This is where you'll have to watch through the entire series to understand. Through the 24 episodes, there is significant character development, especially to the two main characters (namely Solty and Roy). Of course, each character did have their own flaws, but they learnt from it through really heart-warming personal experiences. I pretty much liked every character in this series, but I kinda get annoyed when girls cry... and this series happen to have quite a few so... yeap but that aside, I was alright with everyone.
[ENJOYMENT: 10/10]
No qualms in this section from me. From start to finish, I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this. The comical scenes made me smile, the emotional scenes (nearly) made me tear up and the action scenes got me captivated. It may be just me, but I wasn't bored in any point of watching this series.
[OVERALL: 10/10]
So, why not? This is my favourite anime series by some margin, and though it sticks in my mind as a 9 or 9.5, I'll give them credit and overrate a little on my part to give a 10. I really hope you guys will check it out. Even though it's a series which aired a long time ago, I believe it deserves some form of recognition.
That's all from me, and thanks so much for your time! (:
Cheers.

Before I started this series just a few days ago, I actually went to check out the rating here on MAL. Upon seeing that it had one below 7, I was going to think twice about watching it, but I steeled myself and went ahead anyway. After the first few minutes, I thought of dropping it, 'cause there did not seem to be anything significant hooking me. However, I am now currently a pretty satisfied viewer of Waremete. I'm sure I would've regretted not watching, and would now be mocking the 'me' in another timeline for not doing it. (Yes, the reference xD)
[STORY: 8/10]
Let's just
...
be honest. Any story which includes physics-related stuff and time travelling does confuse things. But confusion is good sometimes and this was one of em, in my opinion.
Waremete features a story about this Astronomy Club which contain members who are barely interested in the subject, apart from one... no, two! Ahh... but who was the second one again...? Anyway, tragedy strikes early on and then suddenly a naked girl falls from nowhere and... wait, are we even talking about the same world? Or same universe? Well, you'll have to watch to find out!
This just isn't your typical school romance. It does give some reminders of Glasslip (which wasn't very welcomed), but it definitely has an edge over that because it has a plot!
[ART: 7/10]
When I first watched it, I felt there was something off with the art. Like something weird, which I just can't put into words correctly. It felt SHAFT-y, yet it wasn't. But apart from that the overall art is rather well done. Not to mention that there are pretty girls in the mix. I mean, which dude doesn't want bishoujo in a romance genre series?
[SOUND: 7/10]
"I'm confident we can change...", but I'm not confident if I can give this section a good score. I've never played the visual novel, but the background music had the VN feel to it. It's good, but ain't the best I've heard. Apart from that the OP and ED were pretty catchy in some sense!
[CHARACTER: 7/10]
From what I've read, this is pretty much the debatable component, and I'd have to agree with some. Side characters, despite what they are called, shouldn't be fit into a series just for decoration. There is a slight tinge of that in this series, though. The dude Kenny just beautifies (okay, maybe not) the series with his American (?) accent. That Airi, whom I thought at first would play an important role, did not do anything significant through the series. I was, however, happy that Hanamiya got a decent feature episode.
Now on to the main ones. Wait, can that even be plural? It's up to you to watch and decide, but in my honest opinion I felt there was only one main character in this series, who expressed her inner feelings well and had great development (*ahem* through many timelines *ahem*). Apart from that, the other two characters seem to just be what I'd like to call 'supporting main characters'.
[ENJOYMENT: 8/10]
There is tragedy, so no way there could be any comedy in this series, and that in itself is a minus point. But the feels towards the end tremendously make up for it. I was intrigued in trying to figure out the explanations, and even went to Google certain terms mentioned. I came out none the wiser but hey, at least it captured my attention for 11.5 episodes, and that's fantastic.
The ending did not go they way I had hoped for it to be. It was an ambiguous ending, but I certainly think that that was the way to end it off. To let people think for themselves what possible timelines and events could occur, and for the visual novel players to rue some possible missed scenes.
[OVERALL: 8/10]
Cut Waremete some slack. It wasn't anticipated that much, but they did give it a commendable effort. And this effort got to me. Whether it will to you, please watch to find out. Because a 'you' in another timeline may have already done so and is currently crying tears of joy.

“If you’re going to say something that nice to me, I don’t mind even if we break up a hundred times.”
That was just an instance in the series which goes to show just how much love there is rooted into it. This has been, in my opinion, the best shoujo series I’ve ever watched and I’m sure most people who have would hesitate to disagree (hopefully!).
[STORY: 8/10]
It is a pretty relatable issue in the real world which has been introduced as the initial driver of this series. There are many factors which can contribute to feelings of love and to some, height is definitely
...
one of them. I mean, no short dude would want to be with a tall girl, would he? Well, this series breaks the duck in trying to bring such a couple closer together. Obviously it’s always going to be hard, but did they succeed in the end? WATCH to find out! :D
[ART: 7/10]
Well, considering this series aired in 2007 and here I am watching it at the end of 2013, I did not let this bother me that much. The series is so good that you can afford to forgo this bit, I assure you. Besides, it isn’t that bad to be fair, the girls looked pretty good and the guys were… well, standard I guess…
[CHARACTER: 9/10]
Superb character development done for the female protagonist, as expected of any shoujo franchise. Through the three years of high school illustrated within this 24-episode series, we get to see how the characters grow as they learn to overcome hurdles in relationships as well as acknowledging their own feelings. Another pointer to touch on would be the supporting characters. The supporting characters in this series were really well made and thought of to integrate into the plot itself. Unlike certain series where supporting characters are created merely for the sake of doing so, they actually played vital roles in this series and I can’t think of any support which had no meaningful purpose.
[ENJOYMENT: 9/10]
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series throughout. A very good mix of romance and comedy, which is integral for creating an ideal RomCom. For all those facing relationship problems or are having issues regarding love, this series would provide some respite for you and maybe even inspire you to do things you’ve not done before. I’ve experienced it and I approve of this message! (;
[OVERALL: 10/10]
Normally I would give this a 9, but because it’s SO good, I think it absolutely deserves to be overrated one more level. For those who haven’t watched it yet, I recommend that you start now and be immersed into the lovely romantic world of Lovely Complex! A must-watch for any shoujo fan!

Do you love heroes? Do you believe in miracles? Well I hope you do because you're going to be hearing a lot of that if you're planning to watch this series.
[STORY: 7/10]
The storyline is actually a very simple and traditional template of "Good v.s. Evil" and that's pretty much it. I'm giving extra credit for the fact that they have a pretty decent back-story to back up all the latter's actions. A good back-story never fails to hit a soft spot in me. So apart from that, there are moments of fighting (somewhat... at least they tried) which may or may not intrigue you.
...
For me, the fighting scenes didn't really work out that well, it looked more like they did it for the sake of doing it, and it wasn't well produced at all.
[SOUND: 9/10]
Oh, now this is BRILLIANT. Barring the OP and ED which can actually sound quite catchy after listening 12 times (or more), the background music was fantastic to say the least. Suitable music were played at suitable moments, and the tracks themselves were very good. This was especially the case in the last episode where every track I've heard throughout the past 11 episodes were actually played in somewhat quick succession.
[CHARACTER: 8/10]
Don't know 'bout the others, but this series actually features decent character development, especially for the lead female (obviously). A typical story about how a character overcomes her weaknesses and gains strengths from various sources to beat down the enemy. Oh, but the romance side of this series was irritating to me, if I need to criticize on an area.
[OVERALL: 7/10]
So taking into consideration other factors as well, I feel that this series deserves a 7 in my books. It's not too bad, but it ain't that great as well. But I'd think that it was worth a shot and worth the time. So check it out, guys!

"If you lose something, just build it again. And this time, with greater care."...
...summarises the lesson which the main couple is set to learn through this series. It sure has been an enjoyable Spring Ride for all of us who have witnessed it, I'm sure.
[STORY: 9/10]
This isn't like any of your typical shoujo franchise, where the girl spends more than half the series contemplating about her feelings and trying to choose between guys. What's kind of different for this, is that the concept of 'friendship' is thrown into the mix. Because having a great bunch of pals to hang out with, is comparable to
...
having a great guy to, right? While romance seems to be the main concentrated genre for this series, I feel that on top on that friendship is the one driving the plot on.
[CHARACTER: 9/10]
This series features a group of five friends, with all five having seemingly different personalities and thinking processes, which makes way for great character development as we see them mix together. Also, nothing makes character development any better and more obvious than... a touching, heart-warming backstory. I won't spoil it, but the main dude's backstory was one heck of a tear-jerker for me.
[ENJOYMENT: 8/10]
I would've given this a 9 or 10 if not for something I find rather annoying after watching/reading quite a few of these - girls crying. But no worries, because other than that I pretty much enjoyed this on a whole. While there were great emotional moments, there were also comical elements added into the series which made it seem more lively. And the expressions on the characters' faces at times never fail to crack me up.
[OVERALL: 9/10]
So there you have it. Emotional scenes, emotional quotes said to each other, and it has got a pretty decent soundtrack as well. Wait no longer and just check this series out. It'll be worth your time :D

Coming after Nagi no Asukara (which was rather rather highly), everyone expected Glasslip to be a P.A. Works series which could rival that of the former. Turns out it was far from being able to do so. However, criticism of this series is rather subjective and really depends on the viewer himself/herself.
STORY: 6/10
To put it very simply, this show is basically about teenage romance which has sparked off among a group of close friends. That's pretty much about it. They then spend the next 13 episodes contemplating on their feelings about one another. I'm giving this section a 6 because, at least they tried
...
to think of something. It's not like they really threw in a random storyline just to last 13 episodes; the plot was there, but it was probably not strong enough.
The element of Romance is pretty commendable in my opinion. In fact, the primary reason I had watched this series (and continued on) was because of the Romance.
ART: 9/10
"Wow! Amazing!" was what I thought when I first saw the visuals and PVs for Glasslip. And it certainly lived up to expectations. The art was brilliant, as they illustrated the sceneries and places of Hinode well. Needless to say, the characters were good-looking too. If there's anything I would take away from this series, it would be the art as it was memorable to say the least.
SOUND: 8/10
Decent OSTs, including the OP and ED. The background music were played at appropriate times and really fitted the atmosphere and scenery of the anime. I've gotten their OST under my belt already and I have to say it rivals some of the top ones from other series. The OP and ED were fairly enjoyable as well.
CHARACTER: 6/10
On to another component of any series, the characters. As the characters are plunged into thoughts of love and their feelings, we see that every character have their explicit strengths and weaknesses. As a teenager myself, I'd have to admit that I really found the characters relatable. The problems they were going through were genuine, and I believe anyone would react like any one character in the series when faced with a similar situation. The characters won't make much of an impression in me after this, but the scenes they played out may.
ENJOYMENT: 6/10
I wouldn't say I enjoyed every single moment of this, but to be fair there were some bits I'd enjoyed. Those who have personally experienced genuine moments of love (first love, crushes, etc.) should find this worth watching. I probably won't be re-watching this, but I heard a LN will be coming out and I guess I won't mind checking that out. Hopefully the LN will portray the story in a much better manner than the animation.
Overall, not the best series you will see, but in my opinion and by my standards, it's enough to clinch a 6/10.

To those who have already played the games, I'm sure all of you will be familiar with this title already.
To those who haven't but had this title catch your eye, then welcome to the world of alchemy and other such things in The Atelier of Escha and Logy!
In my case, it was the latter which got me watching this. So yeah, I'm apparently not that familiar with the series, but after completing it, I felt that I've gotten a bit closer to 'their world'!
Story: 7/10
The entire series was generally simply made and thought of. Initially, most of the episodes covered that one incident each, until
...
towards the end when there was a more apparent continuation between the episodes. Every episode is easy to understand, without any complicated matters involved. The pace of the series is just right; as far as I can tell, they didn't rush anything much. And the ending was just about the only way they could've ended it well!
Art: 7/10
The art isn't that sublime, but it's decent enough to be liked. I really liked the sceneries a lot, such as the portrayal of the town and certain places. It gave me a very 'peaceful' sort of feeling, and set my mind at ease while watching. Although there weren't many, but the battle scenes were well made too in my opinion.
Sound: 9/10
It may look like I'm going way overboard for the score, but this is really how I feel about the soundtracks! The OP has a catchy rhythm to it, while the ED is the complete opposite with a slow, soothing tune. Apart from those, the OSTs slotted into the episodes were excellent and suited the atmosphere of the story a lot.
Character: 8/10
As the title suggests, the series is mostly made up of the two main characters Escha and Logy. But the story doesn't only involve them, of course. Thrown into the mix are supporting characters who did a fairly decent job. Because this adaptation is based on the 15th game of the Atelier series, each character did have their own back-stories;some were revealed, some were hinted, some weren't touched on at all. But all in all, those which were featured did have significance to the outcome of this anime.
Enjoyment: 7/10
The power of friendship. The power of feelings. The power of never giving up. Do these sound utterly familiar to you? Do such moments make your heart wrench? Do you love such moments!? Then this anime is absolutely for you! It's a simple, enjoyable series; nothing vastly significant to remember about, but yet not that easy to forget as well.
Overall: 7/10
(:

My pick for "Underrated Anime of Winter 2013/14"...
Usually the titles which are in the spotlight would be those involving intense action, intense feels, or those which were adapted from already popular manga or LNs. However, it has been proven over the past few seasons that some of the ones which are less popular may turn out to be that decent after all.
Nou-rin was by no means an anticipated series. The LN was relatively unknown by most, and there wasn't a manga adaptation. Hence when I first started watching it, I really didn't know what to expect from it. And 12 weeks on, I'm glad
...
to say it was a series I didn't regret watching. What's so good about Nou-rin is that, it had an almost perfect balance between comedy and feels. Okay, at the start of the series like for the first few episodes, it was more of a comedy and I thought that was the way it was gonna go on. How wrong I'd been. After that, each episode had it's fair share of comical scenes, then moments and dialogues which made us think/feel. It wasn't about great and significant stuff like saving the world as such, but instead dwells on the little things in life that we tend to ignore. That, I believe, is the true beauty of anime with Slice-of-Life genres, and Nou-rin was definitely no exception.
- No matter what we're doing, as long as we're having fun, that's enough.
- Sometimes, we have to admit that we're inferior to others before we can truly improve ourselves.
- If one person in a group is unhappy, there's no way everyone else can be truly happy.
These are just some of the morals I've learnt from this relatively simple comedy series. Indeed, it may not be the best, but I assure y'all, it's definitely not the worst.
