I think demon slayer is a very interestomg manga and do want to start this off by saying I would recommened it because of the levels of enjoyment I got reading it. You are rooting for the good guys the whole time until you hear about the tragic backstories some of the strong demons have which make the reader feel for them and actually relate to them in some instances creating a character bond which makes the reader like both sides of the fight which is how I think a good story with antagonists and protagonists should be done. I think its a very good ... piece of action/demon genre where the overall message can be understood in a variety of ways and the backstories each character has is interesting apart from a few which is why I think it does not deserve a 10. The whole plot is the average shonen "kill the big bad guy and his less powerful friends for a peacefull world!" which I can respect depending how well written the characters are. The characters are very strong and each pillar having a sad backstory which is why they all have something in common and have a common goal they want to achieve even if not getting along all the time like giyuu the water pillar and sanemi the wind pillar. The main character being tanjirou, your standard shounen protag who is weak, then trains, then gets stronger and eventually gets to be the strongest. His personality is a very caring guy since he just wants to protect his little sister and wont let anyone get in the way. You will enjoy this manga if you enjoy the "kill the big boss" as the final fight where there is a big showdown against the main antagonist in this case muzan, he is not a bad antagonist however he does lack a good backstory since you don't really care or root for him unlike some other antagonists like akaza who have a saddening backstory and a good will to fight.
Overall I think you should read it because you will most likely enjoy it and the charcters unless you aren't very happy with the genre.
