My anime preferences:
Highest on my priority list are rare gems like Bartender, with intelligent, well-crafted stories. Gankutsuou and Blassreiter are also good examples of stories like that. A good, fun comedy like Hayate the Combat Butler is always appreciated.
I'm also a big fan of sci-fi and mecha anime in general and the Gundam series in particular.
I also enjoy anime that are about topics rarely covered by anime in general, like economics in Spice and Wolf.
Action anime are lower on my totem pole, despite Bleach being my favorite anime. This genre is usually a toss-up depending on the story or other things, though usually I go for over-the-top overpowered anime like Needless or Sengoku Basara.
Lowest on my list are ecchi-centered love comedies like Ladies vs Butlers and random brainless humor like Baka to Test.
Lastly, I'm not one to start watching shows that got good reviews and not consider watching shows that got not-so-good reviews. I'm not one to be swayed by rankings; I prefer watching a show for myself and judging it instead of letting others do it for me.
Feel like recommending? I'm always on the lookout for some food for thought shows. You can always leave me some notes :)

I was away for over a year before that and keep checking if someone on our Paradise club try connecting again but I see nothing, they don't even send a response to my forum post.
for the past couple of months Otaku paradise has
been becoming a little inactive lately so we are
just checking up on everyone to make sure
everything is alright. There are new threads and
games that I hope you will enjoy. Hope to hear
from you soon!
Peace and chicken grease!
Guess we didn't plan out the intial stages well. We sort of rushed it all in.
Take it or leave it, here's my advice: Ease up on OP. Focus on Hot Blooded Shonen. Its got potential. And a dedicated creator, which the former lacked.
And our members. By recruiting completely new users (ones who had just joined a day or so ago), our member base became very hollow. So, they didn't voluntarily participate in the club activities or take interest in them. Even after two months after notices, only about 30% responded.
Just felt all of it was unnecessary. But it was fun...for a while.
Hope you enjoy it. I'll check in from time to time and see if there's a revival.
I initially stepped down as admin, but then figured I'd go all the way. MAL will probably realize in a couple of hours.
Last I remember, they JUST got CommonApp to work on Chrome (lol, oh college), and I know some university sites are incompatible with the browser. So I always have Firefox at hand in case I run into an issue like that.
And unfortunately, I haven't. I need to catch up to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Yotsuba&! as my first priorities, haha. Still have many others, but I've decided to tackle them little by little. How about you?
