It is a story about some people who can't truly die, they revive/heal after they die. The story starts out interesting until about mid way through where it seems to start becoming repetitive. I can't say this manga is boring, but I can't say it's completely interesting either. Only the first half is interesting, the rest is just is... I don't think I ever read a manga that revolves literally around the same enemy for 17 volumes straight. Should have been over at 10 volumes in my opinion and be done with it. I wish there was more of origin story about why "those ... people" can't die, in the end I can't be disappointed because I didn't come with expectations, but I'm sure glad it's over... So I can move on to the next manga, lol.

It starts out very well. The action is very hard to follow. It is consistently interesting until at least mid way through the series and then it gets repetitive and fills more like filler to me than the story progression. Surprisingly it's not as annoying as I felt when I read demon slayer. The art is nice and action is well illustrated, but certainly could have been shorter if the author ran out of ideas.

Overall I'd recommend this manga. I personally enjoyed it more than tokyo ghoul or demon slayer. Even though this manga is longer than it should've been ... in my opinion, it didn't feel as dreaded to read it as some of the mentioned manga above.

I don't know what's the hype about this manhwa. It is pretty average. The art is decent but it doesn't justify the high rating it got. Maybe it's not my cup of tea although I do like martial arts and over powered people.

It starts out interesting but then it becomes kind of stale. I read only 8 volumes and felt no need to get the last two. Honestly, I don't even feel much happened in those 8 volumes. Overall I'd say it's not good or bad.

I wish MAL wouldn't force me to keep writing stuff I don't want just to fill space.

After finishing Tokyo Ghoul, which I found pretty good, I straight jumped to RE and I must say I had no freaking clue what was happening at all. It jumps straight to action but so much is happening in the same time. The fight sequences go from one team, then the other, sometimes you don't even notice you are reading about someone else already. I have no idea why it was so hard for the writer to start a sequence and then finish it and then start a new one.

I saw someone say that up to chapter 60 or so it was amazing, I ... actually think the opposite, after chapter 60+ the manga slowed down and I actually could breathe again and get familiar with the few characters that were left.

The only thing that I enjoyed about the end was the art, the rest were just fillers that tried to make you feel something, some could argue it was deep but I honestly couldn't wait until the manga was over, and luckily there was more art than words which I enjoyed, otherwise nothing special, I was happy it was over...


I don't recommend anyone to read this manga UNLESS you read the first one and got attached to the characters and want to badly know what happens next and also get some more information about some of the characters that they don't reveal on the first one.

This manga is pretty good because it's a somewhat unique story compared to other manga. The story is actually pretty interesting and the pacing is good until about volume 10, it slows down a bit and then picks up again. Can't really complain because it is mostly to the point. The end is somewhat vague but also satisfying at the same time. I think there could be bias there because I knew there is Tokyo Ghoul RE, so perhaps if I knew it had no sequel then I'd think the ending is incomplete. I suppose we can call it a not so good ending ... then without RE, at the same time I don't really recommend reading RE unless you create an attachment to the characters and want to know "what happens".

I think it was a satisfying and to the point story.

This anime is unique to say the least, but that's what makes it a fun watch as long as you don't take the death too seriously. It starts out odd with this old man but then it builds up into something unexpected which what makes it interesting.

If you don't want a boring typical anime then I think this hits the spot.


Story: Predictable after a few episodes but it's about the journey and not the destination.
Art: Good (I find the wrinkles on the older characters over exaggerated)

I found many of the parts quite emotional, especially towards the end. It's ironic how some anime can ... go from decent to better if it elicit some emotional response out of the viewer.

The story is interesting, good art, good fighting panels. My only gripe is the art eventually changes and it literally hurts my head whenever there is an action scene, there is just so much scribble that it gives me a headache when I try to appreciate the battle. I dropped it for the time being because of that, it's just not fun when you have no clue what is happening.

Overall I'd give it a 7 because it is not a boring manga and it actually has somewhat of a story, and it comes in Deluxe volumes so it makes it more enjoyable.

I found it pretty engaging until the last 25% of the manga. The story isn't complex but the fights are decent. Some people don't like the art but I find it good, good fighting scenes and easy on the eyes. My only problem with this manga is the memories of the demons after they die, some of them are pretty cringe. I'd rather they not humanize the demons and just let them die without any sympathy.

If you want just straight up action story without any depth to characters or the story then this is for you.

edit: I think if I see another cringy afterlife ... conversation or a flashback I'm going to explode. Some of those memories are so cringe. I gave this manga the respect and finished it but honestly I could just stop 75% in and be satisfied without all the drama at the end.

Whoever gave this manga 10/10 has never read any manga in their lives.
