This is one of the most confusing pieces of media that I have ever consumed, to the point where I don't know if I like it or not. On one hand, I have character stickers on my laptop and desk. On the other hand, I rage-quit reading the manga several times in the span of one year because I kept getting so angry at all the decisions that the characters kept making.
Takemichi... unlike most people, I don't think he's a bad MC for crying or being scared, because that's pretty much the most realistic response to all the insanity that happens on this thing.

Yes, I'm giving this a 10 even though I am only at episode three, sue me. This show was created for me, specifically, as it caters to my every need, and it features all my preferred tropes, and I will not be accepting criticism.

I won't bore anyone with the details as to why I didn't enjoy this show, because frankly there are many and I don't want to lose my time. All I will say are the following bullet-points, and everyone can decide for themselves if they wish to give this show a chance or not:

After putting off watching this movie for so long, I finally gave it a shot. The animation was good, far better than I expected, and the storyline itself was also really fun to watch. I am a big fan of this setup, and while it did not make me cry like many of my friends said it would, it was still very emotional. I remember watching the first couple of episodes after it first aired and liking it, but as usual, my attention span quickly switched focus and I never finished it. This year, I remembered it and decided to include it in my MAL 2022 challenge. And that's honestly the only reason I finished this in the first place.

As a manga reader and long time fan of this franchise, I have to say I was severely disappointed by this season. The pacing was all over the place, for starters: the first arc dragged on endlessly, then they blew through the Todoroki family arc, then we got one (1) backstory episode/character development moment for Aizawa and Hizashi, and then we got to what must be the most interesting part, the MVA arc, only for it to suck as well.

I just finished watching this show, it took me three days because, well, as a certified senior citizen of 21 years old, I can't pull a marathon the way I used to when I was in high school >.< but I think that taking my time with this show was the right thing to do, after all.

I'm giving this an overall 10 because this is one of my favourite adaptations I've seen. The art was beautiful and I loved how they stuck to the original, yet somehow managed to cram two different arcs into 11 episodes! TGCF is my favourite c-novel and I was so pumped to watch this, I'm very happy I can say it didn't disappoint!
