Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne had changed me in many good ways. It taught me how to be strong and not be afraid of the mean people out there, not be afraid of not being accepted by the society, it helped me to know that if you want to get things in life, you've got to be annoying like heck and get into people's heads! Before, I was a shy girl and was afraid of my own friends, which for some reason had recently happened this year. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne helped me realize the strength I had accidentally let go inside of myself and this is why:

Story:
The ... story was very original. The usual mangas and animes are all the same and based off of one story a mangaka had written. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne was not like that and was a completely new flavor. I don't want to spoil the story, so I cannot get into the details completely well, but hehe, the anime fans out there should watch it if they want a great story that's not only romantic but it has great fantasy and good action (not the icky kind!), comique comedy (heh, to add more to the French!), all with a wonderful plot line!

Art:
The art was very interesting for the era of time. I am guessing Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne had came from around the 90s, so the graphics were pretty outstanding for that decade. The characters were actually more beautiful than what you'd find in the usual and boring animes, if you can say that counts for art! It is known though that I always pay more attention to the story than the art, but this time, it was fun to look at both!

Sound:
BEST CHARACTER VOICES EVER AND I DON'T REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO THAT! The boys in usual animes always have an arrogant tone and the girls always sound so weak or if they are strong, they sound really violent with lots of muscles, but in this anime, it was just right! The main character, Maron did not sound weak nor too strong and Chiaki, the main boy did not have an arrogant voice, nor a sweet voice, he had a... well, I can't really explain it, but he had a wonderful tone! The production must have chosen carefully for the voice actors.

Character:
I think these are my favorite characters. Maron is strong, but not the boring "I don't need any help strong", Maron never backs down but is also friendly and can trust others and uses that to build her power. Maron is my role model, my idol, I aim to be like her in life! She is always positive and knows that even if she feels sorrow at one period of time, she knows that that's only releasing emotions and helps her become stronger by learning from her mistakes. Chiaki is also impressive as well. He is not those common annoying persistent players, nor is is a kind boy with a serious attitude, nor is he the arrogant jerk. Chiaki is something else that someone needs to know when they spot him in the anime. He has kindness and is a joker, but he doesn't overdo things. He has a serious side to him as well, but not those common types of "seriousness" you see in every anime. You'll know when you see him.

Enjoyment:
I enjoyed this anime since it was not just entertaining, but it also provided a learning experience for me like I had talked about in the very beginning. The drama was precise and perfect, there was not too much like watching Spanish dramas on Telemundo (I'm not saying their bad, actually, some of them are kind of nice to watch), nor was there a boring amount like the common animes you would find nowadays. It was just perfect, truly perfect, nothing could be improved, not even those annoying characters now and then, you would even fall in love with the annoying characters (which are not really annoying, they just are... funny?). I don't think there is a way for an anime to be better, at least in this style.

Overall:
Just great. Like the other reviewer had stated on the front page, this really is a must-see. I'm kind of late in watching this, but I'm happy I was, since I've even seen that other animes cannot compare. Please watch this! The characters will warm your heart and there is no end to the story! You will see, the mangaka will show you that you can live life in a total different way!

I've really LOVED this anime and this anime really IS my FAVORITE, ANIME, EVER! I've watched 40 of the episodes subbed, but I was really upset when I had to switch to dubs, but I did because I just LOVED the anime so much!

Story: Story is VERY good and you really don't find a story like this often. The whole story is what made you fall in love with it every episode. Every time, you were always at the edge of your seat at the end of each and every episode. I give this a 10.

Art: I'm very picky with my art but this anime, ... the art was FANTASTIC! I loved how the characters looked, but it wasn't "perfect", you know what I'm saying? Again, I really LOVED how the characters looked, but due to this anime being pretty old and being aired in 1994, it doesn't look all new and stuff, but that's what I enjoy about it. It doesn't look like the style you see every day, but that's what makes you love the characters, because they're different and they're actually really good-looking. I give this a 9.

Sound: I LOVE ALL THE MUSIC! I love each and every song of the anime and you will find yourself singing the EXACT words of the opening, IN Japanese and you will find yourself singing and humming ALL of the Ost's! All of my friends would ask what I was singing and I would just be like "A song from this awesome anime called Marmalade Boy"! Again, I really hated when I had switched to dubs because when the ost's had played, they had taken ALL of the Japanese lyrics out and that is what I hate about America, lol! But the subs were very good and I really hoped that the group had finished the subs to the very end, but, it is what it is. Although, I swear I will learn Japanese and move to Japan, even with all the struggles it is going through right now and I will watch the whole anime in Japanese, with no subs and actually understand it, because I've REALLY loved this anime with all the songs and osts! I give this a 10!

Character: I LOVED THE CHARACTERS! EVERY ONE OF THEM, THEY ARE MY BEST FRIENDS (lol!)! No seriously, I loved all the characters and the good thing about Yoshizumi Wataru (or Wataru Yoshizumi) is that in Marmalade Boy and in many other of her stories, she makes you fall in love with EVERY character, including the side characters! I've really loved Miki and Yuu, but I've also loved all the side characters and even the very minor characters because Yoshizumi Wataru really makes you open up to each and every character. I've really liked Meiko and I've really fallen in love with Kei and Michael and how their characters are portrayed. These are some of the BEST characters you will ever meet! I give this a 10.

Enjoyment: MY FAVORITE ANIME, LITERALLY! I enjoyed each and EVERY episode of this anime and I want more and more and more of it. The anime went to the very end of the manga, but I really was sad when it had ended, because it was SUCH a great anime! Seriously, when you watch this anime, it will be like falling in love all over again! I give this a 10!

Overall: I've already said, this is my VERY favorite anime I have ever watched and I've enjoyed everything, the story, the art, the sound, the characters, just everything! As I said before, because I loved this anime so much, I will learn Japanese, move to Japan, buy some videos of this anime and I will watch the whole anime in Japanese, just because I've loved this anime so much! Overall, I give this a 10!

And so, I really don't give 10s to so many qualities before, but this anime was well deserved of it, thank you Yoshizumi Wataru (or Wataru Yoshizumi) for all your hard work, I've fallen in love with EVERY one of your stories and this was my very favorite one. Thank you, Yoshizumi Wataru.

I have watched Kodocha to the VERY end, all in Japanese subtitles and I've got to say THIS WAS AWESOME! Kodocha is one of my FAVORITE animes and I would recommend it to anyone who just wants a good laugh with romance! Kodocha was very comedic, as it could be very dramatic at times. Please, don't miss out on this anime and if you want to watch it, please watch it until the very end because it keeps getting better and better and better!

Art:
I really actually enjoyed the art, it was very old-fashioned, but that's what I like about it, it feels home-y. It wasn't ... SPECTACULAR, but I really enjoyed looking at the characters and I really liked how it was old-styled.

Sound:
Eh, what can I really say about sound? Well, I really LOVED the sound and the music was VERY good! When ever I'm writing my romance stories on my computer (yes, I love writing, lol!), I always go onto youtube and type in "Kodocha Ost" or "Kodocha Song" because I just LOVE the music! Both the first and second opening are AWESOME and I love ALL the ending music and you will find yourself one day after watching this anime that you will download or buy EVERY one of Kodocha's songs because it's so good!

Character:
BEST. EVER! I don't think I've seen characters better than this, not even some of my TOP, TOP, TOP animes or mangas (even though Kodocha is one of them :P!). I loved how all the characters just lived freely and did whatever they wanted, it's like you wanted to live in their little world and become best friends with them! Trust me, when you watch Kodocha, Sana will become like your best friend! I love how all the characters are hyper and have all their own personalities! You know, I'm serious when I say this, Sana is my role model, I'm not kidding! Even though she's just a character, I look up to her and I try to be like her everyday and everyday, all my friends are saying how I'm super hyper and that they like that about me! Sana's changed me for the better, lol! Also, I really loved Babbit and how funny he was and how he used to do those number songs you will see later on, Babbit was so funny and he made the whole anime even BETTER! And Zenjiro (who is only in the anime) really made me laugh sometimes too, he was a good character! At first I just thought he was a guy with bad teeth, but trust me, he's a lot more than that! Hayama was also very well made, considering he is the other main character. He had a mysterious aura about him that didn't have any feelings at first, but each and every episode, he would get better because of Sana, and yes, you've all heard about the same plot before but gee golly, Kodocha is just another anime. But most of all, I loved the parents! Sana's mom was just legit crazy but she cared for Sana a whole lot and Hayama's dad made me crack up every time I've seen him! Another character that you'll meet is Naozumi and he's quite a funny character but he was one of the more serious ones and I liked that about him. All of these characters feel like all of my best friends and they're the best characters you will EVER meet!

Enjoyment: I enjoyed this anime VERY much and I always found myself laughing and laughing as this anime cheered me up whenever I had a bad day. I would look forward to coming home to watch this anime, as everything was just HILARIOUS as it also kept you at the edge of your seat, wondering what romantic and dramatic things will happen next. Watching this anime, you just want EVERYTHING to be your own reality, as I try to make it everyday.

Overall: This anime is one of my FAVORITES, as it literally has EVERY genre you could possibly imagine! There's comedy, there's romance and there's a little bit of drama, but it's not overboard. Overall, great job Miho Obana, you've created a story that I fell in love with and I've loved the characters to the very end and as I said before, I look up to these characters today and when I'm writing my own stories, I always see how sometimes my characters tend to act like them. Thank you Miho Obana, for making a story that EVERYONE would enjoy!
