Alright, S2E9 was honestly just a lot of fun but there still are somethings that need to be discussed.

1. Why did Yukino ask Hachiman to save her someday?
2. What is the thing that Hachiman and Haruno have that Yukino doesn't?
3. What is that one think Yukino wanted that Hachiman and Haruno don't have?

To be honest, I am kinda frustrated with myself for not understanding everything clearly after already watching the show twice. I am going to write what I think the answers are for these questions and then see whether my answers were bullshit or not, according to Reddit.

A1: I think what Yukino means is that she wants Hachiman to save her from the ties she has with her family. I think this because besides the service club, her biggest conflict has been her sister and the way Yukino struggles to break free from her. I think Yukino recognizes that she is not strong enough to do it all alone and Hachiman is the only person she can depend on.

A2: I think the thing that Haruno has that Yukino doesn't is the way that Haruno doesn't change the way she acts for other people. She always keeps her same facade even when people see through her just like Yukino says. I think it's that strength that Yukino wants. And as for Hachiman I think what he has that Yukino does not is the ability to keep the people he wants close to him and being able to save other people.

A3: What I think Yukino was striving for was self-dependance basically being able to act on her own without depending on other people.

I am probably completely wrong on all of thses but I'm just gonna go to reddit anyways just to see how wrong I really am.

Okay so nobody really knew the answer to those questions either LMAO so I guess I will just have to wait and see oh well

OKAY, THIS IS LIKE THE MOST IMPORTANT EPISODE OF S2.

S2E8: First, I want to say that the scene where Yui and Yukino started crying together really hit me. It was just so perfect, that's why I love this show.

Okay, so now for the actual analysis: The first half of this episode is the conversation between Hachiman and Hiratsuka where they discuss the relationship between the service club members. Hachiman tries to go about explaining and understanding their relationship logically, which he is very good at, but he still fails to understand human emotion. But at the same time, human emotions can't be explained sometimes. So that is what Hachiman has to do. He has to find a way to convey and understand his own emotions and the emotions of the other club members. And only then will their relationship mend. Hiratsuka also goes on to say that the reason Hachiman is helping Isshiki on his own and not as part of the service club and the way he is distancing himself from the club in general is because he is trying so hard not to hurt them because he cares about them so much. But obviously his plan has not worked, it has only made their relationship become built on lies. To add on to this, Hiratsuka says that it is impossible to not hurt someone. And that humans hurt other humans just by existing. Additionaly Hiratsuka explains that feeling like you hurt someone and wanting to avoid someone feel that way means that you reall do care about them. If you hurt someone without feeling any sense of regret, then you probably don't care about that person at all. But look at they way Hachiman has been trying everything just to not hurt the other service club members. It is clear that they mean the world to him. To end their conversation, Hiratsuka says that Hachiman has to agonize, struggle, and suffer, otherwise, their relationship is not "THE REAL THING"!

Now for the most important part of the epsiode: Hachiman's declaration.

Hachiman came in with a goal in mind, and that was to finally express what it is that he most desired for the service club. At first when he asks them for help with Isshiki's case Yukino shuts him down saying that it is his problem but Yui refuses to just let Hachiman walked away saying that "they were wrong". Yui then says that Yukino's decision was unfair, to which Yukino replies with telling Yui that she is also unfair. But Yui says that Yukino doesn't talk about her feelings, so she can't really understand her. And she says that if everyone talked, then maybe everyone could understand. But again, it doesn't work like that. The missing piece in the puzzle are human emotions. Which are something that can't be thought about logically and sometimes can't be understood. Hachiman then gives his own monologue in which he says that we wants to be able to understand things clearly, he wants something with no lies, no confusion, peace of mind. He wants a relationship where all three of they can accept each other. He wants something GENUINE.

Well, the rest of the episode is pretty much history. But the takeaway from the epsiode is that Hachiman took a huge step in trying to fix the relationship between the service club members. Notice how I said it is a big step, not that the conflict was completely resolved, because it is obviously not. There are still things that need to be worked out. But overall, this was a great epsiode and I am really excited to see how their relationship progresses from here on out.

Very quickly, going to say that I didn't feel like making an analysis for S2E7 because I was just too tired. When I don't make my own, I just go on reddit and read other people's analyses there.
chris10mrocks Aug 5, 2021 10:34 PM
Okay so I was gonna make an analyses for every episode but I just really didn't feel like making it for S2E5 so here is my analyses for S2E6.

Okay so we start off with Yui calling attention to Hikki because he keeps staring at her group. Later Hachiman says it is because he was searching for a way to mend something that has fallen apart. And that "something" he obviously means the service club. Although last episode, it seemed like everything had been resolved after Isshiki became president and the club did not have to disband, the club was very much falling apart. Hachiman had pretty much backstabbed Yui and Yukino, thinking that his way was the only way, when it was definitely not. And again this episode he does the same exact thing. He secretly agrees to help out Isshiki and straight up lies about it to Yui and Yukino. This ties in with how it is becoming apparent that their relationship is built upon lies and superficiality. Nobody is willing to speak up about anything because they want to keep the service club stable, but deep down they know that it can't keep going on like that forever. The service club is quite literally a ticking time bomb. At some point, their relationship will completely shatter once they face the truth. That's why Yukino actually says that it is better that they don't get requests because she knows that any sort of conflict could ruin what they have now. Okay, so that's enough about the service club.

Isshiki Iroha: I haven't really gotten into depth for this character so I might as well do it now at 1:11 AM. Okay so we know that Iroha wants to be liked by everyone and in order to accomplish that she puts up an act and avoids revealing how she really is. But for some reason, she instantly reveals her true self to Hachiman, as stated by Hayama when Iroha talked to Hachiman in the mall. I personally think it is because she instantly recognizes that Hachiman isn't one to fall for her games so she just gives up on trying. Something, that I want to note, is that she has no problem in taking advantage of people if it benefits her, like how she always asks the service club for help, and ends up relying on Hachiman. Issiki is a very sly and sneaky person. She is always finding a way to try and shake up Hachiman. (I also find it funny how her rejections on Hachiman got a little less harsh every time LOL). I also want to note how even though she wants to be liked by everyone, she isn't, and she says that's how it is always and people just get used to her. Okay that's enough of Iroha.

Now I just wanna mention how the committee of the other school is complete bullshit and it is run by a bunch of idiots who are being led by an even bigger idiot. And no I am not exaggerating. The whole time, they are there, they just keep spouting nonsense and calling it brainstorming, when in reality they are getting nothing done. Iroha's commitee knows that they are accomplishing nothing but I think they are discouraged to speak up because they realize that the other president just wants to keep being an idiot. While Hachiman does try to speak up, nothing ends up happening and another meeting is wasted.

Final thing just wanna mention how Orimoto seems to be curious about Hachiman and how he has changed, but she still laughs at him like she normally does. The episode ends with Hachiman saying that the service club is not a funny thing because he knows that the service club is just waiting to fall apart. lezz go we done with this epsiode ez clapz

Iis ur boi 305 Mr. Worldwide back at it again once more and more until oregairu finishes.

S2E4: First of all, I want to talk about how much of a BANGER the oregairu soundtrack is. Okay so in this episode Hachiman is invited by Hayama and forced by Haruno to attend a date with Orimoto and and that other girl who is really annoying and likes Hayama. Before I get into the date, I want to take note of how Hayama bowed his head when asking Hachiman to go on the date. It is later stated by Haruno that Hayama actually has quite an amount of self-pride. Now, as to why he did this, I think it is because he acknowledges Hachiman as someone who has an ability to do things that other people dont. He also has a full grasp of the situations that are going on around him and understands just like Hayama. But as stated by Hayama later on, he wishes he didn't have to rely on Hachiman because he hates the way he does things. Now on to the date. Since the beginning of the date both girls as Hayama says "make superficial judgements on him". I actually was so annoyed with those girls, especially the green haired one. The reason they do this is because automatically gives off that creepy vibe to other people and makes it easy for himself to get hated. The problem is that Hachiman never tries to defend himself, one, because he doesn't care, and two, because he has accepted that way of being viewed. All the teasing would have kept on going until Hayama was so annnoyed that he had to speak up. But although that's how he really felt, he did feel regret after saying what he said and that's because he likes to keep good relationships with people, even if they are superficial. He even calls in Yukino and Yui which I thought was really cool and it looks like Orimito understood a bit how hachiman has changed and what hachiman meant for those girls. He then has a one on one convo with Hachiman in which Hayama says that Hachiman needs to realize his self worth and that other people value him. Hachiman says that the way he sacrifices himself is not for anyone and that nobody cares about him and the suffering is only taken in by himself. So even more proof, that Hachiman still can't change. Hachiman refuses to call what he does self-sacrifice and he also says that his own convictino that he once shared with Yukinoshtta is now gone. I think he is referring to the conviction of hating superficial relationships. Finally, Haruno. She just comes in like a sly fow out of nowhere, and begins to cause commotion. The main takeaway is that Haruno bugs Yukino about not being student council president just like she wasn't, and we all know that Haruno doesn't want Yukino to follow in her footsteps. She also says the Yukino will just keep relying on people, which obviously means Hachiman and Yui, but mostly hachiman. I do think Yukino has been able to rely on people more now that she actually has real friends, but for some reason, Haruno sees this as a problem. WTF WHY IS THERE STILL SO MUCH MORE TO DISCUSS??!! OKAY ANYWAYS, after the cafe scene, we find out Yukino is guess what... running for president! what a surprise! nah lmao. Ok so it is obvious that part of the reaosn why is her trying to break away from Haruno but I think another reason why is because she wants to stop Hachiman from hurting himself. I am pretty sure there might be more to it but for now thats all I got. NOW FINALLY, the last scene where Hachiman and Yui are walikng home togehter. Yui says she wants to run for student council president. I was honestly not suprised, Yui realized the club was gonna fall apart if Yukino or hachiman had their way. Yui values the service club greatly, so its no wonder she would try and do that. Also, Yui feels like she needs to do more for the club and she thinks that she has been relying on Hachiman too much. So she basically wants Hachiman to like her more because she has a crush on him. And with that she declares she will BEAT YUKINO. ALL THE YUI FANS ARE HAVING PTSD REWATCHING THIS SCENE LMAOOO. WHATEVER I FINALLY FINISHED LETSS GOOO. NO OTHER ANIME WOULD HAVE ME WRITING THIS MUCH. OREGAIRU>EVERY ROMANCE AND SLICE OF LIFE

Back at it again

Oregairu S2E3:

After the events that happened during the school trip you could really feel how awkward the service club was. Yui like always is trying to break the awkwardness but fails to. Yukino then starts lashing out at hachiman saying that his methods are horrible and that she thought that hachiman also hated superficial relationships, but there he goes, sacrificing himself to save one. The main focus of this episode was the request the service club got from Ishikii and Meguri. Iroha is in the running for president but only through a dare and she is bound to win because nobody else is running. Hachiman's idea of making her lose is by getting a spokesperson and making her give bad publicity which will result in Iroha not winning without her reputation getting damaged. The only problem is finding someone who wants to be the spokesperson. But it is very clear that Hachiman is putting himself in that position. As soon as Yukino realizes that he is trying to sactifice himself again, she immediately shuts him down and even gets carried away. It just shows how much care she has for Hachiman now. But hachiman refuses to change just like he always has. Welp thats it for this episode I guess, or really thats all I remember lol

I said I might not do this for every epsiode but I honestly just forgot how much you can go in depth for every episode in oregairu LMAO,

Okay so episode two... First of all, when Yui, Hachiman, and Yukino were walking and eating, I had a huge smile on my face. It's little things like that which make me love romance anime especially oregairu. Now this episode was pretty important. As I had mentioned in episode one of season 2, although hachiman has bgean to be more friendly towards the service club, his way of thinking and his way of acting have not changed. Hachiman only knows one way of doing things, and that is to bring himself down in order to achieve a solution. He is under the illusion that nobody cares about how he hurts himself and that his way is the best and most efficient way to do things. We see him do things like that in season 1, like when he goes on that rant on the rooftop with the chariman or when decides to cheat in the festival and they end up losing because of him. Both of these instances of self-sacrifice leave him hated by many people. Though him being hated by everyone was pretty significant, it wasn't as important as it just became in S2E2. LIke usual, he sacrifices himself by telling Ebina he likes her in order to ensure that nothing changes and everyone stays the same. But this time, Yukino and Yui express their anger and frustration on Hachiman's methods. The reason we hadn't seen this before is they were not close enough to him. But as they are now friends, of course, they have to shows that hachiman is now not only hurting himself, but the people around him as well. Hachiman is no longer the total loner he was and actually has people who care about him. And I think that Hachiman has started to realize that. At the end of the episode he says that he is the biggest liar of all. I think that what he means by this is that he convinces himself that his way of self-sacrifice is best and that he doesn't care about what happens to him. But in reality, I think that he realizes that there are people who care about him and that his excuse for self-sacrifice is no longer valid. But he still convinces himself that it is, which is why he thinks he is the biggest liar.

Might not do this for every episode but I just really felt like writing about the first episode in season 2.

I had not watched oregairu in a very long time so I completetly forgot how much the service club members changed after season 1. First of all, hachiman is more friendly towards the girls and starts to be a bit more social as Yui and Yukino are his first real friends. On the other hand, Hachiman's twisted ideals have not gone anywhere as he shows how negatively he views Tobe's chance of getting Ebina to date him. Then he goes on a rant about the gossip that goes on after he asked someone out and got rejected. Just like season 1 Hachiman. So in that sense, he has not changed one bit. Yui has not changed in the way that she is still very social and nice but she also feels more comfortable around hachiman and it is clear that she wants to get closer to him. For example, she showed a lot more physical contact with Hachiman and honestly just felt more outgoing with Hachiman than we have ever seen before. And finally, Yukino. Yukino definitely suprised me the most this episode. She used to be such an ice queen but know you can see how her relationship with hachiman and Yui has really changed her. It is very clear how she has gotten comfortable enough with Hachiman and Yui that she is now friendly with them. And she definitely acknowledges hachiman more. In season 1, yukino would have definietly told hachiman to get out when Hayama and Tobe came. And she also would have never mentioned how she didn't want people to get the wrong idea about her and Hachiman. Also, in the lobby of the hotel, she definitely would not have gone and sat with him. Those are just some examples of how her actions have changed.

Oregairu Analysis here

First Season:

As a stand alone season, I would rate oregairu an 8. But because of the importance this season has to the whole story of oregairu I do rate this season a 9. Some of my favorite things about this season is that it really emphasizes how serious each character is about their ideals, and it also shows how hard they refuse to rely and depend on other people. After watching all three seasons, you can look back at the first season and appreciate how far everyone has come. Something that I didn't like too much is that this first season had a lot of comedy and funny moments. I don't hate funny moments obviously, but the 2nd and 3rd season do so much more in terms of drama and plot and there's really not too much need for so much comedy. While I think those funny moments are necessary to see the type of person hachiman is all well as the other characters in oregairu I still think it was a bit excessive but it is oregairu so I do not care.

Character Analysis (1st Season)

Hachiman: Hachiman Hikigaya has to be my favorite slice of life/romance protagonist ever. He is just so well written. I love how this first season really shows all of hachiman's twisted ideals and I think it is really amazing to see life from the perspective of a complete loner. Now, obviously, real life is not like anime so most of the things that happen would not happen in real life, but there are several themes that are very big in real life. For example, when Hayama has friends that are not friends with each other and only get along when they are with hayama but by themselves, they are simply not friends. Ok so back to Hachiman, from the first season, hachiman is a complete and total loner. But he was not always like this. It is revealved that hachiman was so excited to go to high school, and was very optimistic about his future experiences. Until he was hit by a car while trying to save a dog. Hachiman says that it was that moment that made him a loner. Though, later on in the series, in a conversation with Yui, he says that he thinks he would have still been a loner even if the car did not hit him. Im not sure if he only said that to make Yui feel better or if he sincerely believes that but it is still something to keep in mind. Although the car accident did play a big role in him being a loner. It is revealed that Hachiman already had sever experiences that would develop his twisted ideals. For example, when he thought a girl liked him and asked her but the girl only looked at him in disgust. Or when he got rejected. Or when other kids would call him "hikigay". But anyways, more about his character. Hachiman holds himself to very high standards and does not believe that any of his ideals are wrong. He completely refuses to change, even though everyone tells him to. He has learned to ignore everyone elses opinion and continues to act his loner act. As with his thoughts on girls, Hachiman says that he hates nice girls. Which is to say that he hates girls who are nice to you just to be nice, and they act like that with everyone else, making you feel special when you are really not. I think that this is a reason why Hachiman suggest being friends with Yukino so early on. He sees how different yukino is from most girls and I think that he also sees himself in her as she also has very strong ideals and is someone who has the same amount of mental strength and confidence than him. Hachiman also says that he admires Yukinoshita, which is very high praise. On the other hand, when he meets Yui he immediately identifies her as a nice girl, the girls that he hates. Hachiman believes that Yui is only being so nice to him because she feels indebted to him after he rescued her dog. Although this end their relationship for some time, through Yui's interactions with Yukino and himself he comes to accept Yui and realize that she is actually being sincere about how her feelings. Though he accepts her, for now, it seems to be nothing more than that as he does not show interest in taking their relationship further. This is shown when he interrupts Yui after he realizes that she might try to confess to him. Some final things to be said, Hachiman has a deep love for his sister and often takes it a bit too far. Hachiman also hates people like hayama and his group of friends. He just hates "normies" in general. In conclusion, by the end of season 1 everyonein the service club seem to be more open to each other and Yukino accepts hachimans request to be friends claiming that she knows Hachiman well. Welp thats it lmao. I can't believe I actually wrote all this, I just love this show so much.
