Skeleton Knight in Another World: otherwise called regular ass dude in another world, the fact that he is a skeleton has almost zero baring in the story, it doesn't even effect the main mc, as he eats and drinks like a regular human would, why make the mc a Skelton if your not gonna do anything unique with with it

the story of the show is pretty generic, as nothing major happen, the whole show they just go from one castle to another saving elf's, the show does try to "explore" racism between the different races but this is done very half heartedly

the animation is ... serviceable but they do re use alot of the animations when they are fighting

overall this anime has nothing going for it but if you turn of your brain and you are bored like i was its watchable, i say its watchable because i only had one episode per week but if i had to binge it i couldn't

we waited months for this to come and all we got was something half assed, that explains nothing and leaves even plot points to tengale, what really pissed me of about this was how Ais friend committed suicide and her back stroy, it was an accident like wtf, you pulling my leg, you built up her entire mystery just to tell us it was an accident

the beautiful animation that we got in the season is also not here, what we got is extremely janky scenes, alot of still shot with zoomins,

they had months to do this episode and ... all we got was something lack luster, even with the actual runtime of 23 minutes rather than an hour the animation was really poor

you need to watch this anime, this is not a request this is an order, WATCH this anime, i promise you will be blown away,

don't let this anime simple art fool you as what lies beneath it is something extremely complex, the story has twist and turns around every corner, with almost every character being connected somehow or some way

the writing of this show is on a another level, you really need to pay attention to what the characters are saying and your gonna need to listen a lot, the dialogue of this show is quick and snappy, even though its just characters ... talking, there is never a dull moment in this anime

the anime doesn't really play any music through out its run which is a very creative decision made in order make the dialogue even more impactful, it also gives it chill relaxing tone it

the characters in this show are presented as animals, just like beasters but unlike beastars, this show doesn't focus on the carnivores vs harbours, yet it makes its characters very human, they just happen to look like animals

this anime gave me durarara vibes as in everything is connected and by the end of the show everything is going explode

this is one of the best written anime show that i have seen, the writing is impeccable, this show is so unique i almost cant compare it anything else out there i mentioned durarara but i dont think that is really fair comparison, watch this show if you want brilliant character writing, this is one of the best mystery anime i have ever seen

very disappointed in this

i had high expectations for this anime but they all crumbled down, so why do i find this anime disappointing?

first of the animation in this show very poor, there is hardly any animation used in this show, just still images, with shaky cam effect to make it look like there is a semblance of animation, now i'm not the type of person who thinks an anime is bad just because it lacked animation, but for a fighting anime like this, i really would have liked better animation than what we got

speaking of animations lets talk about the ... artstyle, for its lack of animations i will say the art style is very good for the most part, it is very detailed which does make it harder to animate

the sound of this show is also very good, but they do tend to repeat the same tracks over and over a little too much

i must say though the voice actors did a very good job, they where probably the best thing about this anime,

the pacing of this show is really bad, the show is supposed to be non stop action but its constantly interrupted by on lookers, explaining to us the minute of details, its supposed to be show and don't tell, but this anime just shoves the entire dictionary down your throat when ever a character makes a single move

i highly suggest you read the manga because this anime doesn't really do it justice, the manga is absolutely amazing, it had better animation

the story and the characters

the manga can be summed up as suicide harem, as the mc and everyone around has depression for some reason or another and everyone wants to commit suicide, this manga really know how to explore its characters, psyche

this story isn't for everyone, but for me it was very enjoyable as there wasn't a single dull moment throughout the manga, every chapter leaves you with wanting more, as there are twist and turns, it always feels like its moving, there is a sense of mystery behind all the characters

the author really knows how set ... the tone, i will give you an example the mc has sex with Nagi a girl he just met, you would think it would feel extremally forced or contrived, but the way its pulled of really fits with tone, there is a sense of eeriness behind each character


as the name of the manga applies you will be sucked into an emotional depressing abyss,,

This manga gives you ray of hope by introducing you to a new character just to bring your Hope's collapsing down, you would think a character would come along be a beacon of hope for the mc, nope the mangaka be like, "we don't do that here" every character is selfish and flawed, they feel human, they use and abuse the mc in some way or form

reading this manga gave me similar feeling that i felt whilst watching welcome to nhk, although not as depressing as that show, it does tackle some similar themes

the art

the art style is pretty good for the most part but some panels can leave more to be desired, on some rare occasions you will get some panels which are really really great,
although its not this manga's main focus i must say the author really know how to draw boobs, and the

final thoughts

although i sang this manga's praise, there are some minor flaws which i want to mention

first of all i was not really a big fan of the yandere character, I thought she started of fine but later just became a plot device, I didn't like direction that the author took with her character, I felt that she could have been explored in a different way rather than just turning her into what felt like "comical villain"


if anyone's wondering weather or not to read this manga i highly suggest you do, you wont regret it

gotta say a big oof to the manga readers, im an anime only and this season does not feel anywhere close to season 1,

every episode ends with some kind of cliff-hanger that leads to nowhere by the next episode and is completely thrown out

i had suspicions from episode one that this was gonna be bad and i have not bean proven wrong yet, especially with the anime going original

this is Tokyo ghoul over again, im giving it 7 for because i don't want to judge it too early but i really doubt its gonna be any good the way its going

well at ... least one good thing come from this and that is manga readers cant spoil what is not in the manga lol

i was actual looking forward to this anime, not because i read the original source material but because of the ova, but just like all the other crunchyroll shows based on manhwa it was a disappointment

we hardly have story here, we have vampire dude who has awaken after 800 year sleep and he decides to go to school, he fights generics enemies one after another and, that is the basic gist of it

the art style has 200s feel to it which you might like or hate but to me personally it was ok, it did the job, i have seen the manhwa art and the anime does not do it justice

sound 6/10

there is nothing much i can say about the sound, as none of the osts stood out to me, and i'm not much of music critique to know the fine taste in music i did not particularly enjoy the ending or the opening

all the voice actors are really good as you would expect

characters 5/10

the character in this show are really poorly written for the most part, as there actions do not make sense,
ill give you an example M-21 has the chance to get Raizel( who is extremely powerful) help but he does not do that, instead he is like " i do not wish to put my friends in danger" and decides to get kidnapped and put his friends in danger

some characters have only known each other and start putting there lives in danger for absolutely no reason at all

Raizel the main character hardly says anything at all, and it is not explained why does not say anything, he is just silent for the most part and drinks tea

than there is frankenstein who serves Raizel, for some reason he also 800 years and it is not explained why he is t that old, or why he as all these powers

animation 5/10

what god of highschool had going for it was the animation, this does not even have that going for it, the fighting animation was subpar

enjoyment 5/10

i watched this show on a weekly basis, which makes it a lot easer to watch, rather than sitting though it once , you can watch it but you would have to torn you brain off for the most part, i would not watch it again
