Story
If you search about this anime online, you will instantly guess that this is about skateboarding. And me without any sports blood at all, I wasn’t really after the thrill of skating but I got really intrigued with the characters. I’ve been seeing this anime all over facebook and seeing how fans are pairing some characters together, I knew I have to watch it myself, hahaha. And tada!
I actually enjoyed it much to my expectations. I liked how the two main characters first met and then instantly became bffs. I don’t think it was abrupt at all and I also think that the pacing of
...
the story was really good. The thing I enjoyed about sports anime is their camaraderie and sportsmanship. But for this anime, aside from the thrill every time Langa skates, another thing I love about this one is their friendship. And it wasn’t all just about the good things but also the bad, which I think was pretty realistic.
Opening and Closing + Songs
I absolutely love both the opening and closing scenes. The opening is so cute at the beginning but becomes really catchy and cool as you proceed, plus I believe that that song is just perfect for it.
The ending on the other hand is simple compared to the opening, but it's still very cute. And I’m so in love with the song as well.
I definitely have to create a lyric video of these two songs soon.
Characters
I actually like the character design. Each character doesn't just have a diverse selection when it comes to their personality but I also think that their design suits them well too. And speaking of characters, I really think that Cherry looks so pretty in his skating attire and Miya is super cute too. I also love Langa's appearance as well. It's just a perfect look for his mild personality.
And speaking of characteristics, I genuinely like the main characters in this story. I love how enthusiastic Reki is and how much he loves skateboarding.
Langa on the other hand is the opposite of Reki. Langa was a transfer student from Canada, he and his mother came back to Japan after his father died. Langa is not always cheerful and sometimes just keeps to himself. But his life changed after being friends with Reki and then learned to love skateboarding.
The side characters too were very likeable and fun to watch. And not just that, they all look eye catchy too. No wonder why a lot of viewers love them.
The only character that I wasn't fond of at all is Adam. I just think that he's very creepy and weird. Even after watching a bit of his backstory, I still think he's a total creep, lol.
Voice Actors
As usual, the Japanese dub for this one is really good and I think they all suit so well with the characters.
I actually watched the first episode in an English dub and I thought it was pretty good too and the VA for Adam is pretty accurate. It's almost hard to hate his character, lol.
Conclusion
I’m sure most of you found this anime on a yaoi recommendation or yaoi group online (particularly in fb), but let me tell you this hahaha. Seeing that this anime is more on sports, you can’t definitely see some characters kissing or being lovey-dovey, but. Yes, there’s a but hahaha. If you’re a fujoshi, you can definitely see some parts in here that you can’t help but squeal in delight. I can’t elaborate more on this, but if you finally decide to try this anime, always look out for Langa, Reki, Cherry and Joe, *wink.
***
If you’re looking to watch something light but with a very lovely animation and bright design, you’ll definitely be in for a treat with SK8 the Infinity.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MANGA!
This manga is definitely far from what I imagined because I only expected lots and lots of boys love but this one gave me more than that. Unlike the previous boys love manga that I’ve read before, this one is very wholesome and super super cute which I definitely love. Ofcourse I love pure boys love story but I also love slice of life so the idea of combining the two together hits big for me! It was great that the author was able to combine them together so flawlessly, plus there’s a lot of funny parts too which doubled my
...
enjoyment.
I don’t think I have any complaints with the story at all. I just said I love it didn’t I?, hahaha. I think the only thing that I find confusing at times were the illustrations of some characters. There’s just some characters that almost look the same so it gets me confused at times. But overall, I think it wasn’t that big of a deal since as you can see on the rating above, I ENJOYED the story overall.
I mention this a lot of times on my reviews, but whenever I watch or read something, I always take notes. And as for this manga, the majority of what I wrote is the word cute. This manga is just so cute that I think on every page that I come across, I always utter the word cute, hahaha.
As for the main characters, I love the combination of the cute Fujishima Takara and the handsome Kiyomine Hosaka. They were like cats and dogs at the beginning and how it escalated to what they are now is just very rewarding to read. During the first volume they were bickering and then eventually got very so close together. Although they still keep on fighting once in a while, you can really see that it was different than before. They’re like a married couple really, hahahaha. I love seeing Takara, he's just really so cute that I want to squeeze him. I also love his personality, I just love how caring he is, and that innocent side of him is so cute to read most of the time, hahaha. So adding that tough side on him really surprised me, but I think that makes his character even more enjoyable to read.
Kiyomine on the other hand is like your typical shoujo main male lead. He’s gorgeous, intelligent, rich, etc. And adding that sister complex to his character was quite entertaining to read, although there were times that I want to strangle him for that. Why? Because whenever his sister is involved, he can utter such hurtful words to Takara and it's pissing me off. That backstory of him was also very sad to read so seeing how he changed after meeting Takara is so heartwarming. That was definitely a nice character development on his part.
Aside from the main leads, I also love most of the other characters in this story too. I love how the author also takes time to showcase other characters too which will make us get to know more about them and eventually get to understand their way of thinking. There were ofcourse some annoying characters here too, but whenever I see Takara and Kiyomine being so sweet together, my annoyance just magically disappears. And oops, I almost forgot hahaha, there were some other characters here too that you can help but ship together, so look out for them, *wink.
That ending was kind of lacking for me since I WANT TO SEE TAKARA AND KIYOMINE KISSING but it was still a nice hopeful ending overall.
Looking for a nice wholesome boys love story with a slice of life? Then I definitely recommend Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike. I can guarantee that you will enjoy this too!

I’ve been seeing Skip Beat in the list of anime recommendations in my myanimelist account for quite a while now but I’m not sold just by looking at its cover photo. Then one day I saw a trailer of it in youtube and ended up liking it! And yep, you should never really judge a book by its cover, *wink.
Story
I love revenge plots. Even though I’m not a fan of showbiz romances or similar, I was surprised to find out how I am enjoying this anime. As early as its first episode, I was already laughing my heart out because it was so funny. Most
...
revenge plots are cliché, but what I like about Skip Beat is that it will leave you laughing your heart out while at the same time cheering for the girl to go for it. And not just that, I also enjoyed the love-and-hate relationship between the two leads which most of the time leaving me rolling in the floor laughing haha.
There were some life lessons as well so that’s a big plus.
Characters
I actually like the female lead. She was duped and yes her reason why she entered showbusiness was wrong so I’m definitely one of those people whose glad that she was able to find her passion and eventually learned to love acting like it’s a natural thing for her. Aside from that, I am also enjoying learning about the male lead. He was portrayed as this perfect actor who can’t seem to not do wrong but as the story progresses, we’ve got to see the other side of him.
The side characters were fun to watch too which some of them will give us a one or two lessons to ponder upon.
Graphics
It was surprisingly bright and the facial expressions were always epic. Though the character design isn’t that spectacular for me, I still think it was good. Also, some of the character designs kind of remind me of Junjou Romantica, haha.
Summary
The manga counterpart of Skip Beat is still ongoing so the ending may be a bit of a letdown, but it’s absolutely giving us a vibe that we’re going to see something great soon, *wink. So if you’re looking for a good anime to binge watch this weekend, look no further and try out Skip Beat!

I’m not a fan of Mecha anime (although I LOVE Code Geass and enjoyed Voltes V when I was a kid) so I wasn’t really expecting that I will enjoy this anime so much.
When I started the first episode, I was like “Ok, so this is all the hype was all about?”. Even if I wasn’t expecting something great, I would be lying if I say I wasn’t disappointed at all. But heck, I’m so glad I continued watching this anime because all of those revelations and scenes were really remarkable, I’ll tell you about it later, *wink. The first 15 episodes were about setting
...
the groundwork about what this anime is about and for us to know each character.
I know it's bad to compare but watching this anime is like watching Code Geass all over again. Don't get me wrong, the only similarity these two anime have is that they are both mecha. It felt that way to me because I was also skeptical about Code Geass when I decided to watch it, and look at me now, I’ve been singing praises about it ever since.
Darling in the Franxx sent me into a roller coaster ride of emotion. A lot of things happened and a lot of revelations were presented that really shocked and moved me. Although the first half are important, I have to say that I love the 2nd half of this anime even more.
This anime showcased a lot of things. Actually, I wasn’t a big fan of the fight parts (because as I’ve said, I’m not into mecha), so I’m really happy that this anime didn’t just centered on that part. It also showcased love, not just romantically but also towards family and friends. And speaking romantically, I love Hiro and Zero Two but I also love Mitsuru and Kokoro’s story. That baby part was just too much for my heart….. (sorry for the spoiler hahahahaha)
And lastly, that ending is just so beautiful that thinking about that dreadful episode 14 doesn’t hurt that much anymore. Like really, that episode was just sooooo hateful it’s hard to forget. Back to the ending, I definitely want more!!!!
I'm not the right person to ask or judge about it but I definitely don't have any complaints with the graphics and animation. Speaking of graphics, I really love Strelitzia's True Apus form, considering I’m not really into robots and such, that definitely speaks a lot eh? hahaha.
And ofcourse, I think it goes without saying, the story line is really good.
Overall, whether you love mecha anime or not, I’m sure this one will never disappoint ;)

I was not an instant fan when I watch the 1st episode. Actually, I waited months before continuing. I'm not sure why, I think it was because I expected too much? I've seen lots of posts about this anime when it was first aired so it's really hard not to expect too much, don't you think?
But I'm glad I decided to give this one another shot. (Well, I should have watch few more episodes before deciding to quit it in the first place 😅). It was surprisingly educational, hahaha. My, if they would have done that during our health class, then I'm sure I would
...
have learn more and enjoyed attending classes hahahaha.
I can't say that it was exceptional, but it was indeed entertaining. Love the graphics too and the opening and closing themes were really cute. Speaking of cute, I love the platelets. Myyyy, they're so cute, I want to squish their cheeks too.
After watching this anime, I don't think I'll look at my body the same way 🤣😂

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ANIME! I've read some review that they didn't like the 1st season, but heck, I enjoyed it 😜
I love the graphics, I love the opening and ending scene, love the music too ♥️ I just love everything eh? But why 9 stars for the 2nd season? Well, the ending was just... I mean, it wasn't concluded even after all the hype for that "last" battle. But even so, it was still a very good for me. I love yokai and supernatural in my anime and it was laid out pretty well here.
I think can I describe the 1st season as "chill"
...
and the 2nd season "action". It doesn't also helps that these nurarihyon dudes are so hot even with that kind of hairstyle wahahahahaha
And let's talk about that scene will ya? Hahaha. Grandpa nurarihyon sure is so smooth eh? I wish we could have seen more of this pair though 🥰

𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠?
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ANIME! I can FINALLY say that I found the perfect anime for us bookworms! Yohoooo!
This slice of life anime is very easy and fun to watch. It was set in a different world where books are so pricey so only nobles can afford them. And in it follows a story of a reincarnated bookworm in the body of a sickly girl named Myne and her struggles of procuring a book for herself. If she can’t afford it, why not create it herself eh?
This anime highlights the phrase that we are all familiar with, “knowledge is power”. Curious? You've got
...
to try this one out. Plus, the graphics and characters are so beautiful too.
So whether you love books or not, I'M SURE you'll enjoy this too ;)

I'm not exactly sure what I expected from this anime. All I know is that it was quite popular and it's a slice of life which I haven't been watching recently. So yep, I added it in my list immediately.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that it's a comedic one too. I wasn't totally sold when I watched the 1st episode, but as I proceeded, I just found myself enjoying it. It was actually pretty funny too. I always love father daughter stories (everything family-related) and this one just fills up my heart. I just love their relationship, it was also a plus
...
that the plot is quite new to me. I love slice of life but I don’t always have the chance to watch a lot from that genre these days, so it’s really refreshing to read something new once in a while. I also have a feeling that it’s somewhat based on the creator or maybe someone he knows.
The character designs and animation is kinda different from the usual anime that I watch, but I usually settle after a few episodes, and I just did that in this anime as well. And I absolutely love the opening. I don’t think I have something negative to say about the visual parts actually. Sometimes I get so picky with that aspect, but most of the time, as long as it’s nice to the eyes, then you won’t hear any complaints from me.
That ending left me bawling my eyes out. It was really heartwarming, I’m glad I decided to watch this series.

This is definitely one cute and fuzzy read. I just love everything about this story, the characters, the scenes, the drawings - everything is just so pretty. And speaking of drawing, I took lots of photos of the twins, they're just so adorable I can't help it. And yep, expect some cute images of the twins in the coming days, I have tons 😂
Given that it's cute (can't stress that enough hahaha), this one is a very easy read as well, which is very good at a times like this. Well, I'm not sure if this is a very extreme statement but this manga
...
is basically my lifeline. These days, I easily get tired and stressed out, which doesn't really gives me something to look forward to everyday, but eversince I started this manga, well, everyday has been more... Hmmm, how should I put it, bearable? Whenever I go to bed, I always make time to read few chapters (well, sometimes more hahahaha) and that miraculously gives me a good night sleep.
Sounds too extreme eh? Hahaha, but that just how this manga made me feel. Unfortunately, the ending was just too....simple? But it's still a good ending overall, plus I've got to see the twins growing up happy and well-loved which is really what's the most important thing.
Looking for a cute, fun and fuzzy read? LOVE SO LIFE is it!

Nah, I don't care. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS SERIES. And I love knowing what happened in the past too. And my, that little tsurara is so cute. And hey, who would have thought Natto was the first lol hahaha
Having the three of the Nura generation in 1 frame is just too good to watch. And hey, how could I forget Rihan's love for Otome. My! I want a man like him!!!!
But I'm really curious who's Tsurara's father though. Also, the grandpa is one sleek one, it would be great to see more of him and the Princess Yo's life together <3
