I went into this expecting it to be cute and lighthearted, it was supposed to be cute and lighthearted.
By the end of the anime I was ugly crying so hard, I singlehandedly decimated a whole box of tissues. What the heck man, I went into this thinking it would be light and cute Instead I just got puffy eyes and an empty tissue box.

I wish there was a 'meh' rating.
Cause this wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was just 'meh'. I wouldn't say it was good, but I wouldn't say this was terrible either. The visuals reminded me vaguely of the dark palette of anime like Serial Experiments Lain. But the girl who appeared to be the main character, wasn't visually consistent. Sure, her outline was the same. but there was always something slightly off with her mouth. A lot of shots she didn't have a face, so there was no budget for that I guess. I guess they had champagne aspirations for the video. but ...

It's a cute slice-of-life anime.
I wouldn't say it's terrible, nor would I say it's the greatest series ever. I seriously don't get why this series has so much hate. It's a slice-of-life anime, it's cute, and the story is simple. It's a good show to watch and take your mind off things. It's not overly tragic. there's no big 'drama' hanging over their heads. It's a nice anime with an easy storyline to follow, and easy, likable characters. You put the show on, kick back, and just relax. Yeah, there are some scenes that are vaguely fanservice-y, but to me it felt sorta natural(?) like what ...

I won't lie, this movie was the weakest of the three My Hero Academia movies.
Honestly, the plot had such a great premise, but they dropped the ball. One of the things I felt while watching the movie was that it was so long! So much 'filler' and not enough plot. I liked the montage of Deku and Rody on the road trip, that was nice, but it felt flat. The art was cool the montage and the music was well done(like a bnha music video), but that's about it. I mean, it's season 2. If you're watching it, you know what you signed up for.
That said, season one as a set up was, imo, a lot better as there was something more defined with the characters. Season 2 felt like 13 episode of fluff. Story with barely any substance. I wouldn't call it bad, but. I wouldn't say it was good either. At best, I would call it 'meh'. You're not missing much if you decide to not watch it to be honest. Don't have anything negative to say about this, but I don't have anything positive either. I'm not sure why there's so many ...

If I were to sum this up in one sentence: It's fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood, with excessive, and over the top panty shots, with flat and unlikable characters.
Honestly, the best part of this was the art. The original Yozakura art was better than this. Actually, the more I watched this one, the more I wanted to give the original yozakura quartet anime a higher score. Ignoring the ridiculous and pointless panty shots, the whole thing was just terrible. I hate all the characters in this anime. I couldn't tell you one redeeming thing about them. The premise of the show is that it blends two worlds together, and the various shenanigans that go on in this world.
Of course you only see it in like, the first and second episode, the rest of the series sees this plot fall by the way side as they focus on the main antagonist for the rest of the show. That's not inherently bad, but the problem is that the characters are so spineless. Yeah you could argue "oh they're just kids", well, yeah they are. However, they're kids given the responsibility of looking after a town, and they're failing. It's not the folly of youth, ...

Overall, I enjoyed it kinda The plot was generic at best, and honestly, part of it felt like it was heaping on tragedy for tragedy's sake. Definitely was a less than stellar plot in my opinion. People related this to beauty and the beast, and in a way it was... Minus the love story, which is fine, but there's a certain connotation when using 'Beauty and the Beast', so just be aware, there's no romance in this. I'm not really sure why I'm giving this a 2. Probably because it's not so bad it's horrible, but it's not particularly good either. I saw someone call Rio/Haruto a discount-Kirito from SAO, and they actually aren't wrong.
I actually can't think of anything redeeming about this show. The art is stereotypical I guess. The music is so-so for a mediocre anime. Fair warning, each episode is a speed run. Whether they're speed running the years, or a mediocre fight to get to a mediocre point you just don't care about. In fact this whole anime is just a speed run to things you just don't care about. ...

In light of what happened with the KyoAni studio, thank you for continuing on and finishing the movie. Your efforts are truly, truly appreciated. This was a beautiful movie.
