Both series are based on danmei novels written by the same author. The stories are also interconnected, as Dinghai is a prequel of sorts to Tianbao. There are no true overlapping characters, but the stories clearly take place in the same universe and there are some references and recurring plot points.

Both are dark alternate retellings of fantasy mecha series, with that post-Eva vibe

If you liked Ginyuu Mokushiroku Meine Liebe add

...then you might like Marginal Prince: Gekkeiju no Ouji-tachi add

Meine Liebe has the same general premise (anime converted from a dating sim after removing the player's character) but did a much better job of producing a solid storyline, interesting characters, and higher quality production. That being said, Marginal Prince is worth a watch due to how hilariously terrible it is.
