I'm a filthy casual when it comes to slice of life, but this is one that if I weren't watching it for a challenge I probably wouldn't have approached.
The characters are for the most part charming, though they sometimes fall flat and become very one note depending on their role in the episode. I liked that the show dipped its toes in different genres in parody, such as VR isekai, magical girls, mecha and a very "Corpse Party"-esque episode, though it's not quite a parody. Which leaves some untapped potential.

I feel a lot of people are making a great mistake when they watch this show, if you are here to see another war story with dull characters go elsewhere. GWitch has been a delight so far *if* you can take slower pacing. There is conflict, there is combat, there are stakes. But you have to watch the show to see that.
A common issue I feel is people are going into the show expecting to hate it and picking apart every little things as they're forcing themselves to watch it. If GWitch is not for you, just leave. The story is disconnected enough that ...

There was a previous link but it was for Kissanime, F. It's harmless, really, can't understand the hate people display for it. The animator's recent work is rather charming, and I encourage you check out their tumblr! Their recent works are actually very nice and their style is individualistic, colour choice too.
