The current mental 5 point standard. Not really meant to be written down but more of a mental note. It changes like the flow of water ever shifting with the whims of my mind. Poetic. Scaling based from my H list rankings. 1: I watched it, but didn't like it. 2: It definitely has issues, "mid". 3: where most animes rank and where most of my experiences should fall in when picking anime, good old entertainment. 4: very good anime but not my personal favorite, can see its quality. 5: where all my favorites are, I just have to have a personal connection to it and like it a lot.

Screw the Horimiya standard. If I think it was good it's either a 9 or a 10. 9 being an almost there but still great experience. 10 personal greatest of all time.

Current notes on my ranking system. The Horimiya Standard, if the quality or experience of an anime is similar to the feel of Horimiya it will be rated a 7. This experience is defined by having a overall decent experience with some issues but also some good parts. An enjoyable anime but not too great. If this experience in question is greater than Horimiya it is rated a 8. Defined by having a pretty good, enjoyable experience with not too many issues but not mind blowing. 9 and 10 are somewhat similar in having very great experiences that have yet to be seen again or evoking great amounts of feelings. This can also mean experiences that brought upon great amounts of enjoyment can appear between these two rankings not just anime/manga with great stories, quality, etc. can only appear. 9s are treated as more honorable mentions. By all means having a great experience but not as to the levels of 10. Can also act as a place where 10s are being evaluated and is still unsure about their ranking. 10s are experiences that really have had an impact which you're left thinking about it, to have a level of quality that is unmatched, or a level of feeling that is unrivaled. 6s are material that have clearly have issues and the general enjoyment of it was down; however, this ranking can also have some enjoyment. 5s are they exist, nothing to say about them.
