Yeah, Geass is pretty awesome imo.
Ryner Sep 9, 2008 6:21 PM
that's cool. i quit FF awhile ago now.. it just wasn't the same. but yeah i'm doing pretty well, moving outta state soon so that should be interesting.

really weren't interested in any anime this summer? guess you're not a geass or macross fan. ;o
Ryner Sep 8, 2008 2:28 AM
dude! how's things

Glad to accept. The general consensus is that the LODOSS TV diub is weaker than the OVA dub (and I generally agree with that), but I actually like both. I guess what we both have in common is that I too saw these when I was getting into Anime, and while I admit that dubs have come a long way since "Lodoss", I think it gets more flak than it deserves. Sure it's old and shows its age, but it's definitely not a bad dub by any means.

Nice to see that there's someone who also likes the "Lodoss" dub. As this is an older English track, it seems rare to find fans of it these days (sometimes I feel like I'm the only one). Hearing that this is not the case is reassuring. Out of curiosity, which "Lodoss" dub do you prefer, the OVA or the TV one? And why? Just curious.

yeah AnimeSuki is really good for finding unlicensed series to dl. :) for the licensed series I usually use www.scrapetorrent.com.

Haha yeah, I have nothing against downloading anime (I download TONS) but it's just nice to have your own little collection :]
I've got quite a big collection really but that's because I had a saturday job which payed quite well so I would spend a little bit on anime/manga each month.
Kappaka Jun 2, 2008 11:04 AM
Gah the only reason it's on hold is because I'm buying the dvds :D So I'm waiting till I get enough money to get the others. Nothing about me disliking it, I loved it. I managed to watch 19 episodes over 3 days because I was obsessing xD

LOL, yeah I'm slowly working my way through it. I've heard about the NHK so I'll make sure to check it out! I'll probably start that one up after I'm done watching NANA or Aria (only 13 eps so should be easy to finish) which I just downloaded.

i've been pretty good. Came back to FFXI for like 2 weeks.. just not the same. I think I'm finally done. ;p but yeah this site is really cool, wish i heard about it sooner.

saw you had one of these things on the vanafellowship forums. figured i'd add you. ;] this is "Toji" btw. how are you doing?
Kappaka May 31, 2008 1:48 PM
Oh awesome. I understand how Air can be confusing. I had a 'WTF' moment in the middle when it switched to the crow's view of things. That was a little strange but I thought the arcs were brilliant and the animation was typical KyoAni style.
Kappaka May 31, 2008 1:41 PM
Heya! Thanks for the invite :]
Kappaka Apr 14, 2008 2:30 PM
You haven't watched Air?! You should totally watch that if you loved Clannad and Kanon.
Claymore and Code Geass were anime I watched recently with a WOW factor about them. Code Geass is mecha btw, didn't seem like you're much of a mecha fan. Neither am I in all honesty, but that's got more storyline than funky robots.
Kappaka Apr 14, 2008 2:05 PM
I love Kanon, rewatching it for the 4th time ;]

Yeah I get what you mean, I've been watching a hell of alot of anime recently so some things seem very similar and that's slightly boring. The new stuff airing at the moment is alright although I think I prefer last season's line up. So far that is. There are a few series that have alot of potential.

Haha I'll recommend some anime to you, but first. What kind of anime are you looking for?
Kappaka Apr 14, 2008 5:02 AM
It's Yuuichi!
xD
How are you? I saw your post in the Kanon vs. thread and thought I'd drop by to greet a fellow Kanon fan :3
