While your writing of your Nisekoi review was overly short, I shared the same sentiments as you.

The OST of Nisekoi is amazing. Among the best that I've ever heard. Every scene has the right sound to enhance the particular emotions of that scene.

You didn't seem to provide too many criticism of Nisekoi, why did you give it an 8 instead of a higher rating?

Hey man, been awhile since we last talked. Sorry about that by the way, I got offered a full-time position at work and I'm contemplating whether to take it or not. Thankfully I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow so I'll be able to put some thought into it. But anyway, that's why I've been responding so late lately =_= *sigh*.

Well anyway, what's up? Seen anything good lately?

Oh, I wanted to ask this before since we were on the topic; what's your favorite art-style this season? Also, what attracts you the most to certain animes?

Moderators aren't hired for their writing and analytic qualities so keep that in mind. They have other areas of "expertise" as far as they present themselves to have.

I appreciate the compliments, but really, that review was made in my prime & I wouldn't suggest using it as a guideline.

But anyways, good luck with refining your writing skills. I'll be sure to give feedback if I come across them again.

Before contemplating about subjectivity and objectivity, I'd focus a lot more on providing information and analysis. For example, when talking about the plot I noticed you did not mention a single bit about the harem aspect and how it plays into other parts like romantic development and characterization.

By making clear what should be noted and analyzing the significant pieces of the anime (which would be mostly objective), then you can start talking about your own personal opinions about it. Basically, before you can put your own thoughts about it, you have to first show you understand the material and all its significance.

And to be honest, I don't trust the Moderators enough to understand these things. :P

PS: Also, don't take a look at the single review I've written. It's far below my writing standards today, so it doesn't at all accurately depict how I would suggest you format and write your reviews.
MrSurgery May 28, 2014 7:55 PM
In regards to your review, much of the explanation was sub-par and inadequate. Your choice of diction was uninspiring and simple, giving not much of an accurate representation of what the anime actually is.

Also, you included too much of your own opinion. Objectivity is something to keep in mind when making reviews.

This is just a little bit of what I'd like you to contemplate about if you ever make another review. Writing is hard, don't get me wrong, but I'd encourage you to put more effort and thinking into your reviews if possible.

Did you bring them like iPads and stuff? I have a hard time working a tablet myself xD.

I grew up with the classic art-styles so it's very easy to go back to. You're missing out on some awesome shows if you only watch past a certain era Dx!
Vensito May 10, 2014 4:28 AM
Oh wow, that's amazing! You should feel proud of yourself >:3. Did you spread the joy of anime to all the youth over there!?

Fantasy/Romance huh. I'm afraid I'm even more clueless than you as to any good ones that have come out recently. Maybe something more classic shoujo like Revolutionary Girl Utena or Rose of Versailles?
Vensito May 7, 2014 8:09 AM
Trip to Africa!? That sounds adventurous. How was it?
Not too much stuff going on with me sadly lol. Work has been keeping me thoroughly busy and stressed lately. Still trucking through though. It's really been hurting my anime-time though. So much so, that I've had to start getting my fix in the mornings before I head out Dx!

How you liking those new airing shows? Are they to your liking?
Vensito Mar 17, 2014 3:07 PM
The two things I do go hand-in-hand, so when I'm testing a test station I'll be using the software and testing it simultaneously. I love finding bugs in a system and figuring out the root cause(whether it be software or hardware related) and creating a ticket on it so that it can be fixed. I'm not an electrical engineer nor am I skilled in software programming so I'm kind of unreliable when it comes to troubleshooting actual issues with the components I work with.

Oh boy, you'll have to work hard for that then lol. You could send it to an anime studio and see what they think xD. Of course you might need to translate it first...

Hey, so it's been awhile. You watchin' anything new?
Vensito Mar 5, 2014 5:22 PM
Yeah, I heard they filled the position already but I knew I wasn't qualified for that kinda job just yet. My formal knowledge on lighting needs some work so I'm starting to teach myself more about it while I'm working with the necessary equipment. I'll be ready for the next time someone needs a display tester >:O!

Software testing is mostly just finding bugs and running tedious regression tests daily doing the same stuff but tweaking the procedure a little to find out where things break. There's also the aesthetics and design of the software that you have to take into account though. I was hired on because I knew nothing in the ways of LED lighting or testing and neither did their customers so they thought I'd be a good representation for how our customers would feel when using our software. But now-a-days I'm more hands-off with the software and leaning more towards programming and testing physical test stations that we ship out.

I think it has potential to be an interesting story :O. Do you have a goal for the novel you want to create?

Now you're thinking with racism. You're very good at this. The racism I mean <.<...
Vensito Feb 28, 2014 4:42 PM
I'm not so sure about what they wanted to hear in the interview. I think they expected me to be an Optical Physicist because of my current job and who recommended me. But I'm a Software Test Engineer, I specialize in testing software and electronic equipment, I'm not too familiar with Data Analysis like they wanted.

As opposed to a "heavy novel"? Lol jk. But that's cool, mind if I hear a premise for the story you wanna write :3?

I'm very very white for my other half which is probably why I like programming so much. That's not racist, white people really do love programming, it's in our blood.
Vensito Feb 24, 2014 12:13 PM
Thanks man. You've calmed me down a little bit so that's good xD. Today they're supposed to call me and let me know if I got the position or not. I'm scared that I won't but I'm more scared that I did and will have to manage working 2 jobs somehow.

I'm sure professional blog-writers get paid a decent amount for it(maybe not I have no idea).

Why asian people so smart!? I'm half-mexican so that means I'm really good at landscaping apparently(that's not racist I really do love landscaping).
Vensito Feb 23, 2014 6:18 AM
Oh man, the interview was horrifying! I answered most of the questions with fervor and I think they liked me, but some things they asked me went completely over my head like how to determine the Delta for Tristimulus X and Y using CIE1930 between a 0hour test and a 1000hour test and I was left mumbling and trying to improvise with the little experience I have Dx!

If I could make money sitting at home and watching anime, I'd probably never leave xD. But I like talking to people too much, I don't think I'd want to be cooped up in my room all day with minimal communication with my family/roommates through the door.

"Typical asian" WTF! You're like a jack-of-some-traits! I don't even know how to do most of that stuff Dx! Although I do want to start writing and illustrating childrens' books as a hobby. I probably suck at it though xD.
BlackRegis Feb 20, 2014 3:49 PM
awesome, thanks for that, i cant find cecilia's journey anywhere but i do know of a yuri monster girl game, but the girls arn't overly monsters, its called "demon master christ"
Vensito Feb 20, 2014 2:59 PM
Good idea, you should have them add you to the credits of the show as well as like "Creative Consultant: Igdius" or something :P.

Yeah, I hope so! It would be a great opportunity and a fun experience.

That's a solid plan! I hope for great things in your future too! Anybody hiring over there? I see more places hiring these days, but a lot of teenagers(myself included) really don't like the idea of working at fast food restaurants. This usually means that the work force in those places leans more towards unemployed adults or college students working multiple jobs... Stuff like that.
