Guess we can agree to disagree then. To me, their relationship is unlike any I have seen in media. For me, it doesn't follow the cliche romance that we tend to get with middle/high schoolers. I more said that you were viewing that way since you were talking about progression and that your viewpoints almost acted like you were expecting a normal romance progression but didn't get that. Personally, for me, the characters were extremely consistent. If you have certain examples I could most likely explain those inconsistencies.

But as I said above it might just be best to agree to disagree.

I think a lot of your problem is your viewing the show almost like a normal romance show. If anything the romance undertones are there but it is more about a relationship between a broken human and a creature that doesn't understand emotions even if he does feel them.

I don't know if this helps, but the manga is ongoing. The end of the anime isn't the true end of the series. I don't have much else to say as I can't clearly understand your viewpoint on the show, but yeah thanks for the response.

One of your complaints in your review for The Ancient Magus Bride is "Chise and Elias(our mains), it's very clear that the show is trying to show us that their romantic feelings are developing slowly but surely, but honestly it feels forced."

Some of this is intentional. In Chises viewpoint she is using Elias as she sees no need for herself. Especially during the first half, but even still later on. For Elias, he just simply doesn't understand. His love is very childish and honestly not romantic at all. It gives the show a weird vibe between the two. Kind of like they have chemistry but really don't.

Not sure if what I said makes sense, but their realationship and how odd it is, is what makes the show.

It's fine really. I like that late correspondence aspect of it at times as well, gives off the weird vibe of people sending letters. Of course, now that people are connected through the internet and it's way faster to talk now. Maybe it's just me but somehow when there's not much happening in peoples life there's no reason to talk every day and it gets stale.

Welp, I might start looking into jobs and other stuff but I am going to have a packed semester since I'll have to retake a few subjects. I thought you were going to go the digital way?

deviantart seems the normal choice for most budding artists I guess. Some people who just draw weeb art prefer pixiv as well but it's kind of confusing for non-natives. If you're really not that particular about it you can also make a new imgur account to keep track of your progress.

I can only tell that after I get an internship since I don't have a real-time work experience. A contingency plan ehh. Sounds kind of tough since jobs are so rare in here, you just gotta press on. I think I can make those simple programs, my friends tell me to get on competitive coding sites and stuff like that.

yeah, I kind of blended in the crowd and got into IT field. I don't dislike it necessarily but I am not overly passionate about it either. I don't know, I'll try and form an opinion of it after this semester.
