If you heard another anime that relates to the word under the same name of an anime (IE: Nichijou), and you went from there to here and hoping that this anime is entertaining like Nichijou. Then, you, my friend, have not to worry.
Funnily enough, Daily Lives of the High School Boys is one of the most fascinating comedy, slice-of-life anime you'll ever find.
And based on the title, it tells the story of three main characters doing crazy s***s and funny stuffs that surrounds them. Not only they revolve at these three MCs, but also the other supporting characters from the all-boys High School, and some
...
other girls. And if that's not enough, there's also the "High School Girls are Funky" sequence where it revolves around the other three main characters, all of which are girls, who have to deal around in the same universe. This sequence is shown after you waited (or skip) the ending song.
The plot is purely nonsensical, just like in Nichijou, filled with hilarious slapstick comedy that you can find in this 12-episodic anime series (plus the OVAs). And let me tell you, that even a short comedic skit, it will make you smile or even laugh. They will tickle your funny bone whenever they do something hilarious, intentional or not.
The art is almost the same as Nichijou, except they make it male and... some characters are hideous.
But when it comes to characters, well, it's all done perfectly well for this comedic anime series. And let me tell you, when it comes to comedy, the characters that were performed here are fantastic, no matter where you look at from different perspective. From hilarious one liners to stupid yet ridiculous skits, everyone performed here will just tickle your funny bone.
Both OP and ESPECIALLY the ED is pretty great. But the ED really stands it all out as the ED plus it's video is pretty hilarious and spot on.
Above all else, everything that surrounds this 12-episodic anime is crazy and hilarious as hell. If your looking for something a much more funnier comedy, try this one. Or if you want something that is related to Nichijou, you've come to the right place/anime. Daily lives of High School Boys is, definitely, the one you should try for. It's fun, hilarious, and even though the plot is nonsensical, it will sure make you laugh and keeps you watch this anime in just one, yet rewarding, series.
I hope they made Season 2 for this. Oh! And Nichijou as well...

You know that studio named White Fox, right? You know, the ones who made Akame ga Kill looks like it was been written by Guillermo del Toro just to torture us about how your favorite characters die in the most painful way while sipping in a cup of tea and laughing as your sorrowfully cry that your fave character is dead. Until everyone hates the whole concept of the story which leads people to hate Akame ga Kill's storyline as a whole.
Well, they're back. With another new torture to binge into. It's like Akame ga Kill's theme, all about brutal killings, dark theme and stuff,
...
but this time, they've done it right.
Re:Zero's story is all about an 18 year old teenager named Natsuki Subaru who was in a convenience store to buy his things. But after a few steps outside of the shop, he suddenly transported to a magical place without any explanation how it happened. There he first met the shopkeeper who sells fruits, then a trio of thieves, Satella and a cat named Puck and others. Then, as Satella and Subaru went to a suburb area, he went inside of an empty bar to talk about a thieve who stole the insignia that Satella owns. But as he walk inside, he saw two dead bodies. Until all of sudden, someone attacks him on his back and slowly kills him in the process. Until few moments later, he went back to the store where he first met the shopkeeper of the fruit stand, alive and well. That's the whole story of the 1st episode.
Natsuki Subaru has a power to revive where he was before. Subaru said that it was a "Time Leap", or in video game terms--Checkpoint/Save Point-- after he died for many times. There's no explanation as to why he has that power or how did he get it. Especially when he suddenly transported to a Magical Place after he went outside to the store to buy his snacks. He has also the power to make a stench smell everytime he recalls something that he can revive to the place where he stays and he can summon a dark smoke thanks to Puck's teachings. Of all of those 4 powers that I've mentioned, only the "Time Leap", how he get from Earth to historical Magical World and the stench of the witch's smell are the only plot holes in this anime. What's up with that? I was expecting some sort of explanation as to is why he has that powers and how did he get there. It doesn't make any sense as to why he's the chosen one.
But despite of a messed up Character that was still left for Natsuki, the character development of him was indeed satisfying after experiencing his Death experience and that changed the whole situation everytime he made a move or he got terrified to the person who killed him after he was revived few moments after his death. Making his time leap used as a mere Plot Device to Subaru. There's no limits to his Time Leap nor expiration as there's nothing described as to how he got his powers which makes me more curious how he will get his powers ran out if he died one last time.
Back to the story, if you ask "You said Akame ga Kill has the same theme of Re:Zero right? So does that mean EVERYONE will die again? Including the main characters?" Actually, yes. EVERYONE WILL DIE in the most brutal way as possible. But thanks to Subaru's Time Leap. Subaru will do the job right to prevent the whole situation from happening. Making his death very predictable that he's going to be revived again and fix the scribbled puzzles on the floor. If he failed, he dies again, he'll revived one more. And again, and again, until a never-ending loop is going to happen to him but everytime he dies, he changes the results. This is the only reason why the whole story continues until the 25th episode of the series. Because if we watch this without Subaru's hidden powers to leap back in time, we only got 2 episodes (Episode 0 and 1), making this whole series serve as a joke of 2016. And maybe, the most worthless protagonist of the whole universe is Subaru himself.
The love story, on the other hand, is very predictable from the start. Subaru is going to fell in love with Satella, AKA Emilia. Despite that I really wanted to root Rem & Subaru's love team after sharing their experiences and pain to one another. And hell, even Rem understands Subaru MORE than Emilia. And even Subaru and Emilia has less time knowing each others feelings after that debacle during the election where he got overreacted his action there than Rem and Subaru's relationship where it turns quite well.
Overall, the story is pretty good to say the least. But there's still plot holes in this anime that really needs to explain it. Especially how Subaru got his powers. Also, I really wanted to know who won the election, will Subaru fights against the other Sin Archbishops and what will happen to the other casts of the series. The story is still not yet the end. This needs to have a second season, otherwise, I will still labeled this anime as a cliffhanger or unfinished.
But yeah, the anime is pretty great. It has tons of memorable and dark moments in this anime. Most especially Subaru's experiences throughout the series. So if you want to watch this anime, watch it! You will never regret it.

Ohh Ajin, hahaha... where do I start this great anime.
Well, let's just start, with, Yeah, the CGI is cringy to watch as f*** according to those watchers who've seen Ajin. But, boy oh boy, the story is a Roller Coaster ride filled with twists who is the real villain at the first half of this anime, to the another twists if the protagonist is a hero or an anti-hero.
I can't help myself on how this anime reminds me of "Tokyo Ghoul", both have to face their fate on how they die and how they survive in the process, how they learn that they have powers
...
to revive themselves, and how they we're tortured. However, comparing to TG's Kaneki Ken and Ajin's Nagai Kei, Kei's character here is somewhat dreadful and reveals that he's the worst guy as the protagonist of this story. According to the characters that are affiliated with Kei, he's a trash and he doesn't care anyone for himself. That's why in this anime, Kei is cold-blooded and doesn't care anything and anyone surrounds him. But that everything changes when he left home after learning he's an Ajin, saving the ones who tortured him and bumping to an old lady. But still keeping his rotten personality until a little development change within him over the next half of the anime.
The plot here is kinda messy, at first I was like, "Who's the REAL bad guys here? Is it the government or the rebels?" and the second one was like "Is Kei a Bad guy or a good guy?" A lot of questions are circulating here in this anime, which is why I felt curious until I find the answers there few episodes later. As a matter of fact, I kinda like how the story goes, including how messy it is and then put it one by one like a jigsaw puzzle until it completely clears the picture why and how they do it. It's a mystery anime, and this is what I was looking for all this time! I really do like this kind of stuff, and this one is, without a doubt, a GOOD STUFF! Also, the action, BY GAWD the action is pretty intense too! Especially how the man with the hat named Satou delivers a good blow against the Police during the terror attacks.
As a whole, Ajin is a pretty piece of action anime that you surely need to watch out for. The action is pretty great and the plot was fantastic! It might be sound biased, but you should try it out and see it for yourself. Especially if you're a fan of action and mystery anime. Nevermind the CGI arts or whatnot. The plot here is pretty interesting to say the least. So go get it NOW!

It's hilarious as f*** on how they treat Handa-kun as a God here. But, this is most certainly ain't Barakamon though as most of the characters here are not present and instead we focus more on about Handa-kun's High School life 6 years before the actual scenes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you, the prequel of Barakamon, Handa-kun.
Long story, short, Handa-kun is all about Handa's quirky High School days. His classmate's and other students' perspective, he's the most popular guy in school and everyone likes him. From his good looks, to his coolness and over-the-top seriousness. But in Handa's perpective, however, he taught that this
...
is an opposite matter, he's anti-social, he's uncomfortable to someone before him, he's frightened so much it's like someone is watching him menacingly, and he thinks that everyone hate him it's like he was a small fish in a big ocean filled with sharks and a large chainsaws installed in their fins. Handa-kun is, when it comes to comedic approach, is actually funny... Kinda a slapstick manner with 5% sex jokes. And most of this jokes, we're all about Handa's misconception and misleading approach towards someone.
To explain the concept, imagine you we're jumping at the roof of the top of the building because you learned that your crush has a girlfriend. But, as you we're about to jump, suddenly someone came, and it was your crush, talking about how important for you to live. But instead he was taking an eye contact towards you, he was actually talking about a mistreated table with a lot of markings. And due to misleading approach, you cried because he's right. But then again, he was just about the table and he doesn't even know what was going on that particular day. One day later, you saw his girlfriend, and as you're surprised that you saw her GF, she asked where's the Parent meeting assembly. As you repeat the word "parent" coming from her. You mistakenly identified her as GF. And you learned that his "GF" was actually his mom.
That's what Handa-kun's plot is. The whole theme is all about misconception towards someone and what kind of mistakes that the characters do, Handa is right there to correct it without knowing what was actually going on around him. And because of that, they treat Handa as their messiah because of what he'd done over the past episodes. Even though, Handa has no idea and his self-esteem amongst peers is very low due to his introverted state after what Kawafuji did to him in middle school, which is I'm not going to spoil as this is how Handa get his major character development.
The characters, on the other hand, is 1% Barakamon, 99% Handa-kun. On the side of Barakamon, they've retrieve only three; Handa Seihuu, his mom, and Kawafuji. The rest we're his classmates, the others were students of their school, a professor, the boyish president of the student council and her "girlish" assistant, and their 2 rival schools. There are few character development here though as this anime is focused more on humor. Some of which we're came from their character backgrounds, and most of them was the cause of Handa's "helpful hands". Which leads them to get over-obsessive towards him, idolizes him, or in worst cases, stalking him.
The sound, well, the OP is the big issue here. It's really surprising that my expectations here on the OP is, actually, over the radar. Comparing to Barakamon's melodic soundtrack. The OP makes me laugh though as I really can't take it why they've choose the rock song than what they've done in Barakamon. It's like they put Maximum the Hermone's Death Note theme to the another comedic gold anime "Nichijou" and then put a 1 minute video on how hardcore the anime is. For the seiryuus, well, I don't really tell what's the difference between the original Handa's seiryuu to the new seiryuu as I was just focusing more on the storyline of the anime itself. But, I guess it was good nonetheless. However, if you compare the OP and ED song of this anime, the ED is the only theme that fits the concept of this anime. This is how I depict how the OP is before. But now I've seen the OP, well... That really escalates my expectation because of that...
Overall, this anime will certainly not going to fail you smile or laugh. It's really cool to see the prequel of Barakamon and what Handa's High School life looks like. It's a fun anime series that you might wanna check it out. It maybe low on the MAL's anime list, but still, the anime is still fresh and the theme is kinda unique to this anime. It's really good to be honest, and again, try this one out. You'll not going to regret it.

Persona 3 the Movie: Spring of Birth is a movie tie-in that is based on the 2006 JRPG video game, Persona 3. It has three other sequels which come after this, and the movie was set in the same story as the Persona 3 video game storyline with only a few tweaks to help differentiate both the movie and the game AND to avoid any repetitions from the story that could ruin the experience of the audience of this movie.
And before you continue on to read my review, let me get you a warning that the following you're about to read here are SPOILERS related
...
to the Persona 3 game. If you haven't bought the copy of Persona 3 or you didn't play Persona 3 before, BUY IT! I MEAN, RIGHT NOW! But I'll recommend you to buy Persona 3: FES and it is currently available now through PSN! And for those who don't have PS3/PS4, PCSX emulator is your second choice. If you don't have a PC, but you're reading this on your android, play the Persona 3: Portable for the PSP, PSVita(?) and for the PSP emulator as well. But if you don't have any PS consoles, ranging from PS2 to PSVita, but you own a XBox, that's a bad news for you. No Persona 3 for you guys. Sorry.
Alright, enough beating around the bush. Let's focus now on the review.
So, the story has almost the same as the game though. It has the same plot where your character, (insert name here), goes to the dorm and signed a contract. It has also the moving calendar that help you what date it is, and it has the same chores, like going to school, meet new friends to develop a new social link for your Persona, beat the s*** out of those shadows ever dark hour, etc..
But here in the movie, well, on the very first part, it has now explained why the train was "delayed" while you were on the train on the very first cutscene of the game. According to this movie's first part, a one guy who wears a hoodie decided to suicide for unknown reasons. When I watched that scene, I was like... 'huh? Where did he come from? And why did he take suicide?' So, after that, we went to another scene where we saw our protagonist, (insert name here), was listening to "Burning my dread" in his earphones, while riding the train to Iwatodai Station with some announcement that there's a "delay" because there's an "incident" happened on that place. And as the protagonist already touchdown the Iwatodai Station, he looked at the pamplet that shown where our protagonist must stay, at the dorm, and after for a few moments, the dark hour spawns. The same as in the game I've played on P3P, he's just walking calmly until reaches to the dorm. There, he met the mysterious kid, who later name as Pharos, gives him the contract to sign the deal to choose his own will, etc.. thingy. And as the protagonist write his name, it was revealed that his name is "Yuki Makoto". And as the day goes by, he went to school, he met both Junpei and Yukari on the very first day, you did the same assignments as you've played in P3 like, killing the first shadow who climbed to the rooftop of your dorm, killing the shadow who controlled the train, and battling the two arcana at the entrance way of Tartarus.
But there's a difference though, because during the rooftop incident, if you're wandering if the fight scenes on the game (choosing attack, skill etc. to attack the opponent) has the same as this movie. Well, movie newbie to the tie-in games person, you're wrong, silly. We instead watch our protagonist, by name of Yuki Makoto, is going to fight the shadow in a fighting scene just like we're watching "Fairy Tail" or any magical anime shows you can think of. Although, the battle was a bit short but at least, it gave a dramatic style of fighting as we could feel how P3 was like without the "player choosing a tactic to defeat the enemy in the game" style.
The plot here in this anime was ranged from the very first part up only to the part where they've rescued Fuuka Yamagishi from being stuck in Tartarus for 12 days (12 hours in Dark Hour time). And to be honest, it's quite a good start to begin with. But I don't see any memorable moments just like I played the game on my PSP emulator due to the slow pacing of the plot. But at least they bring the stuff from the game and put it into a movie, which is great! And making this movie as a movie rather than a live-action movie is a very good way, AND IT MUST STAY THAT WAY TOO. Because if P3 became a live-action movie, let's face it guys, IT SUCKS. Because if this P3 became a live-action movie just like Attack on Titan did, we might be able to see so many cringe worthy fights and expressions coming from the actors, screaming "YAMETE!" with their horrific dramatic pose as possible, and horrific CGI shadows that will ruin the face of the game itself. And it might cause chaos to some fans of P3, myself included.
Back to the topic, as for the fight scenes, well, the only thing I do like about fighting scenes in this whole movie is that after they rescued Fuuka Yamagishi from Tartarus, the group must fight the two arcanas. But as they struggle to fight back, Yuki came to the rescue from the dorm (yes, the plot changes here for those who wanders) and tries to defeat the two arcanas. As they struggle to fight every inch they've got, Fuuka then soon realize that one of the two arcanas has a weak point. And with that, the group fight back to defeat both of the arcanas thanks to Fuuka's advice. It's not actually on the game though, ESPECIALLY when the time that Yuki is riding Mitsuru's motorcycle. Which is cool though, especially from his entrance from entering through Tartarus, but that's unprecedented to see that. I really laughed when Yuki did that, yeah I know, I admit that was cool, but I don't think that fits on his style as he's a HS student WITHOUT any background to any vehicle he drove. Seeing him in a bike really fucked my mind though... And I really laughed on that scene at the same time... xD I can't take it...
Is there any changes that could help differentiate the movie to the game? Yes. Too lazy to write this so I just took it from the "http://megamitensei.wikia.com/". So here's the ff. difference from the movie to the game:
- All the major characters appear in the movie intro (except Aigis), while the anime cutscene at the beginning only shows the Protagonist, Yukari, Pharos, and Mitsuru.
- Makoto doesn't interact much with other social link characters, only a few.
- It is revealed in the movie that the first victim devoured by shadows in the anime cutscene was named Sakata Masashi.
- In the anime cutscene he appears in Tatsumi Port Station, but in the movie, he appears somewhere in Port Island Station.
- Some characters make a cameo appearance:
- Bunkichi and Mitsuko make a cameo appearance during Fuuka's visit at their
bookstore.
- Koromaru and Maiko Oohashi make a cameo appearance together.
- Ken Amada also appears briefly.
- Kenji Tomochika appears in the arcade and after exam results are posted.
- Kazushi Miyamoto makes a brief cameo after exam results are posted.
- Hidetoshi Odagiri appears while interrogating one of the students of class
2-E.
- Nozomi Suemitsu makes a brief cameo in Wild Duck Burger.
- Aigis appears in a post-credits scene.
- When the Shadow attacks the dorm, the Protagonist stops to look at the full moon outside the window. Yukari asks him if he cares if he dies, and the Protagonist says he doesn't and he asks her if she's scared of death. A Shadow attacks the window and Yukari dives to save the Protagonist. In the process, her leg is cut by a glass shard and bleeding. None of this occurs in the game.
- Junpei's Believe or Don't was told in May instead of June 1.
- While discussing about the ghost rumor from 2-E, their meeting was in Wild-Duck Burger instead of the dormitory.
- Makoto does not accompany SEES during the June full moon operation due to his personality until he fully realizes his friends are in danger and he goes to save them.
- This is first time where Makoto and Natsuki interact with each other, whereas that was not featured in the game.
- In the movie, Natsuki heard the voice after witnessing the school transforming into Tartarus, but she heard it in the dormitory in the game.
For the art, the characters' appearances here are heavily modified though from light colors from the PS2 game to dark colors to this movie. And as for the scenery of this anime, it's pretty good. Overall, it was a fantastic art to see here.
The sound here is remarkable though. Because when it comes to OSTs, they bring some of the P3 soundtrack to the movie, which really gives a nostalgia feeling to some viewers who've played the game. As for the VA, to be honest, I felt like kinda uncomfortable when I watch this on English sub rather than the dub because, the dub version on the game is pretty good. But when it comes to Japanese dub in this movie, it seems kinda odd, I never heard what they'd sound like in Japanese. But I'd say it's quite good nonetheless. But as for the MC, Yuki, well, it's kinda a bit-odd also seeing the first time my character talks, but in a quiet fashion rather than his personality in the game who sounds like more energetic and has a colorful life.
Speaking of personality, the character development here didn't do much here at least. Especially Yuki, who is an introvert, one-sided guy who doesn't care about anything. To top it all off, Yuki, unlike on my character on P3, he's more like a selfish type of guy and doesn't talk too much. He doesn't even show some emotions and whether they're already nearing at the signs of danger, just like on the train scene, he looks calm and collected rather than he's going to panic and don't know what to do. But his character just changed at the ending of the movie where he smiles after he rescue Fuuka. But it still doesn't change the fact that Yuki is still raw when it comes to the development. And as for the other characters here, again... ALL OF THEM have no development whatsoever. Maybe we'll going to see that on the next film.
Overall, the movie was good. I don't expect much of the change here. But I was intrigued and enjoyed at the same time. Hope there's more changes on the next film just like this one, and I hope it's better than the first one.

"WELCOME TO THE FEEL-IPPINE AIRLINES, HOW TOUGH ARE YOU?!"
"I have to let you know that I watched Your Lie In April series, and I only cry for 60 minutes..."
Seriously, this is the forth anime so far that makes me cry like I fell my cellphone at the drainage pipe. But damn, I'd say, this is the saddest anime that I've ever seen despite of it's hilarious art style and the storytelling looks pretty decent.
Kinda reminds me of the show that I usually watched before, it's Nodame Cantabile, except that this is pretty damn sadder than Nodame and it's all about a girl who wants to
...
save a former child prodigy from being stuck into the darkness of music.
Also, despite of the comedy, the drama is really going to drag you down for sure. Even though that there are scenes that can really makes you laugh, or gives you a smirk, the drama here is the spot-on in this anime. The drama is really great, and what I mean it's great, it means that it will really get you stuck in your mind for the rest of the day remembering this anime how good really is.
So far, this anime really pulls out my heartstrings... AGAIN. And this is the forth time (ERASED is the last time that made me cry like an idiot) that really touches me. The plot is pretty good, the drama, the comedy is not that great, but it's decent nonetheless, the atmosphere of the anime is pretty well, I should say, and the ending... F*** THE ENDING... YOU MAKING ME CRY LIKE AN IDIOT HERE! Also, I really do like the plot twists, especially about Kaori and Kousei's chemistry though, AND about Kaori... I REALLY DO HATE about Kaori's condition... I REALLY DO.
The art style is pretty much dynamic and it really help us tell what is the composer's feelings while he/she was driven to the piano, and the surroundings are pretty good as well.
The sounds are very melodramatic at time, mainly because of the main theme of this whole anime that really puts it in place, well, except on the scene where Kousei is depressed, Kaori suddenly hits him with a flip-flop in a slapstick fashion but the melodramatic is still there, which gives it a minor flaw, especially on that very important scene (I guess I can also now deduct the score both to the art and to the story because of this). As for the OP and ED, I guess if there's something's wrong to the last episode, I really think it's a good idea to remove the OP for now because of that and maybe reuse it again for the next episode if the atmosphere of the episode is now going back on track. But, so far, the two versions of the OP is really good, but I'll pick the first one as it is very cheerful to listen to. As for the ED, well, it's really pulling my heartstrings though and I like them both actually, I just don't know why I feel sad because of this two EDs. Don't know why...
And as for the character development, Kaori is the main attraction here despite that she's there just to save Kousei from drowning into the dark abyss of music. Kaori is a very sweet and lovable girl that is unpredictable at times, but, despite of that, there's a sad and twist storyline about her that really felt for her condition. For Kousei, yes, about his drowning from the abyss, I'd say that without Her, he might still be stuck to the fear he's facing with and maybe he couldn't play the piano and he might become the biggest waste if no one could fix him. Some characters here has a development too, but it's not really worth that much to say it.
Overall, I do enjoy the love story of Kousei and Kaori. And I DO love the drama that is happening here, it's a really big roller coaster ride if you ask me. But about the love story, it is pretty much predictable. This is the hole here that really needs to be fixed, but the anime is already finished so... I guess a hole is still a hole, nonetheless. A job well done to A1-Studios for giving me the feels again (and also, thanks to ERASED too for giving me the feels that I deserved too). Well, I guess it's time to continue to watch Gintama just to forget this anime for now...
I'll just save this anime into my heart and I hope... this anime will get you.
The only question remains is... Will it get to you? I do sure hope so...

I should say... Nichijou is one of the cutest yet funniest animes that I've ever seen. Even though that this anime has only 26 episodes, it's still not enough and I bet that if you watch this anime, you're going to beg Kyoto Animation for more episode of this one legendary slapstick comedy of the 21st century that you surely don't wanted to miss.
The plot of this anime is pretty hilarious and random at all times. Even though the plot is simplistic, the comedic approach is absolutely hilarious and the delivery is great. It's stupid, yet funny, that makes this anime not-so-boring to watch even
...
though it is labeled as a slice-of-life anime. It's more like this anime reminds me of Azumanga Daioh: The Animation... but funnier...
The art is very simplistic though. When I first watched this anime, I expect something big here because KyoAni is giving too much details when it comes to art work and the animation is very colorful to watch. But here... well... it's not that what I'd expect though and they just follow what the manga has drawn there. But, the colors of the surroundings and the epic scenes of each episode is making the art of this anime shows more colors and abstract. It's pretty messy but... Well done.
The sounds are also good as well. From the OP and the different versions in the ED, to the cute seiryuus performed here. Also, there's also added some famous voice actors/actresses who guests to this anime just to promote the next episode of this anime. Which is just a minority.
The characters here were pretty damn adorable and they deliver the comedic relief pretty damn well. And while the character development is slow at the start of the series, their true colors of each character is about to reveal as you move to one episode to the next. Meaning that even though there's some plot to it and the scenes were random, there are some storylines that could affect not just good for only one episode but to the entire anime plotlines as well.
Overall, it's good that I didn't miss my chance to watch this anime. I want Season 2 to be release but I'm afraid we will never see the light of day (just like Hyouka did).
Yes, the anime is pretty damn stupid. But in a good way. And this is like a more innocent gintama version of this anime. There's no dirty jokes or sexual innuendos here. Just some plain, good fashioned comedy anime with innocent, yet, adorable young children just to do what they usually do in normal life... in a most awesome, and querkiest way as possible.
So, if you have any problems or you just got busted with your crush... or maybe depressed, I suggest to go watch this anime. Trust me. Whenever I had problems with my life, Nichijou is the key of happiness and I hope this would help you to move on with your life...
Nah... who am I kiddin' JUST WATCH THIS ANIME SHOW AND YOU'LL BE JUST FINE AS F***...

To put it simply, this is just a music video that can be found on YouTube. If you're a fan or just listening to the british band, Oasis, then this one's for you.
Higashi no Eden: Falling Down can be described as a "Thank You For Borrowing Your Rights" gift from Production I.G., who also animated Higashi no Eden, to the british band, Oasis, who sang Falling Down and made it into an OP song to Higashi no Eden, by re-editing the OP scene into a lyric/abstract music video art style.
This 4-minute, 27 seconds of this video is all about the whole song of "Falling Down"
...
with a short abstract, yet artistic animation music video about the opening. Also, if you have plans to watch it and Higashi no Eden, but you're concerned about the spoilers, don't worry, there's no spoilers here. It's just a Music Video, no doubt.
If the song convinces you to watch Higashi no Eden, then why not give it a try? It's a great anime nonetheless! ^_^
(P.S. The reason why I gave 1 for both story and Character because, OBVIOUSLY, there's no plot here. IT'S JUST A MV.)

To start off with my review, if know the band, Oasis. Yes, the LEGIT british band OASIS who are well known for singing champagne supernova and wonderwall. Then, did you know that their song "Falling Down" was featured here in this very anime? Well, except if you bought the FUNimation Version of this anime, well you only got Saori Hayami's OP for 10 episodes while Falling Down is only used in Episode 1.
Well, that's the reason why I've got myself hooked because of that. Because first of all... F***ING OASIS! Those are my favorite band. So I said myself, "hmm... I should gave it a
...
try." So here I was, watching the anime and NOT SKIPPING the OP and I was in bliss listening to Oasis's song. Because this is the second time (besides Radiohead in Ergo Proxy) to listen another foreign band outside Japan.
Anyways, I'm getting out of the topic, so let's review Higashi no Eden. Or in English, Eden of the East.
So we start at the episode where there was a naked man named Akira Tokizawa who has a gun and a weird cellphone, known as a "Selecao", that can do whatever you wanted to do in exchange for a digital money which is originally worth of 10 billion yen and it was been given to the selected 12 candidates who were participating in a kind of game. Whoever loses their money, either squandered, didn't use the digital money or they failed to do their objective as a messiah, then they will be killed by a supporter.
For short, they must oblige their mission as the new God of the new era using this unholy Cellphone that controls the fate of either the whole world or the user itself. The theme is kinda looks like it was came from MadHouse's "Death Note", except that it was kinda slow paced at first, and it has also some deaths as well... but not that brutal like it was shown in DN, and the story is not very that dark. But what they have in common between Eden and DN is that, they have this kind of, what so called, "God of the new world" thingy. Except that they were 12 gods in their country, and they have one goal... To continue to become a messiah or savior of this country, either it's bad or good.
The whole plot is good but it left us with SO MANY plot holes to fix with. It's like the whole 11-episodes of this anime is not enough though. So IG decided to go have a 2-part movie to seal the holes in this anime. First off, if your asking "why IG didn't just made more episodes rather than just wait for the movie to be released?" A simple answer is that, maybe we will see the full and explainable plot on the movie rather than just cut into halves and make it as an episode then, we'll wait for a week to release it. Second, "is it enough to cover these 11 episodes of this anime by watching the 2-part movie?" Well, we will get to that if I watch those 2-part movies.
But, here, at least we have some explanation to which what is happening and what are the objectives of each selecao characters. This is a good start to watch with and... It's like this is just a prologue to those two part movies. Which is, yeah really disappointing. No real plots, just some introductions and their goals and stuff. But at least, we have some few actions, comedies, some love story teaser that maybe it will show it to the two-part movie and some mysteries and unsolved mysteries in this 11-episodic anime. Which is worth to watch.
For the Art, well, it's fine alright. The surrounding are great as well including the character's artwork and... due to the graphic nature, you might see a scene where a horde of naked male shown at this anime. If your innocent, don't worry this is not eechi or even more than that, so they instead put a white swirling lines for censorship of the penis.
The sound is, surprisingly, awesome. Especially at the first episode where IG ACTUALLY put some REAL AMERICAN voices here to portray their american roles in an american setting. It's pretty great actually, I was expecting to hear some Japanese VA who are struggling to speak english. But that very first episode is just pretty splendid. Well done IG! As for the Japanese Dubs, it's great also. As for the OP, like I already typed earlier, the reason why I've got hooked in this anime because of Oasis. So as for the OP song, "Falling Down", well it has a pretty deep meaning onto it when I watched the lyric. I searched it after that and still have no idea what it is though. But the beat of this song is pretty serious including Noel Gallagher's voice tune, which is pretty melancholic. For the ED, it's quite the opposite to Oasis though, it was performed by School Food Punishment and their song "futuristic imagination" is very melodic and it has a meaning to it.
The characters here are well-developed and well known. Especially to Akira Tokizawa as, for once, he was very insomniac person until he decides to find the truth of who he really is. They also show some flashbacks about Akira's past life and his goals before, and when he understands it, he quickly do the action for the sake of mankind. And as for the twelve selecao members, well I've only seen few of them. One selecao user is helping the cause for good measures and risking his life for them, two were the reason who is behind the "careless monday" scheme, a police who is also a selecao user is tracking Akira, and one selecao user who... likes to cut dicks, yes, DICKS, because she hates dicks and she hate rapists, which is a good thing.
So far, they're only 7 out of 12 of the selecao users were introduced here. So maybe the other 5 are at the movie. Which is pretty irritating considering on how this anime which garnered a lot of potential, is just ended into a cliffhanger. But at least the movie is just around the corner and the only thing we need to do is to watch it.
Overall, it's slow paced, this is looks like to be the intro of the movie, the cliffhanger ending, and some negatives didn't stop me to watch this anime from start to finish. And it is VERY RECOMMENDABLE to watch this anime. This is anime is focuses more on mystery, so if you want to watch it, then DO IT! You wouldn't miss it!

Tonari no Seki-kun is a 21 episodic short anime that focuses about Seki-kun's weird killing time during classes. Usually, instead of doing something productive like reading or writing notes, he instead plays and entertains himself just for fun. And as Seki-kun is busy on what his doing, his seatmate, Rumi, got herself distracted thanks to Seki-kun.
This cliche goes on and on from start to finish. But in every episode, Seki-kun has different tools and equipments, and toys to play with his desk. And Yes, it's indeed entertaining to watch too... for just 7 minutes (times 21... and you'll get 147 minutes of school comedy moments
...
of watching Seki doing weird plays on his desk!)
The setting for the plot is only focuses on one classroom (sometimes on the pool of their school).
The art of this anime is like I'm watching a remastered version of the 90s-2000s art form of this anime. But it's good nonetheless.
The Sound, is good. From VAs, to the fun OP song of Rumi's rapping to slow but fun melody. The ED song though... mmmm... Not so good.
Tonari no Seki-kun is really entertaining to watch and Seki's character is always bringing his tricks under his sleeve just to entertain himself, while Rumi is also entertaining herself too but she always gets hooked everytime Seki bringing his Toys to the School. Rumi sometimes help him but only in desperate times. For Seki, he's just a quiet guy with a childish personality.
With that being said, this anime is good and it is recommended to watch this anime! Just... don't expect to have some love story chemistry because this anime is just plain slice-of-life, comedic anime about Seki's killing time during boring lectures.
Class Dismissed...
