I just started this anime outta nowhere since I had nothing to watch for the Summer Season, and saw that a sequel was released soon.
Straight to the point: I FREAKING LOVED IT.
Don't expect stuff like well-written characters or reasons for everything that is happening.
The story is absolutely wholesome and funny. It can be enjoyed by a universal audience. The characters are very lovable and the cast is diverse as well.
Kyoto Animation did an absolutely fantastic job animating this and flexed on most shonen fights and art. The Art is consistent throughout the 13 episodes and the music is also decent. The OP and

I don't know where to start. Ok.... (SPOILER FREE)
Story- 9/10 Within the story lies a deep message. The anime follows a story without really following a story. It may seem weird but those who have completed this may get me. The story is excellent and crisp. Art - 9/10 The art may not be easy on the eye but you get used to it and start to appreciate it as you move on. I am SO freaking tired of this show! It's just SO OVERHYPED I couldn't resist but to share my thoughts with this review. People keep saying that the manga is SOO good and stuff but I am reviewing the ANIME, not the manga, so those manga readers could shut up and accept the truth that the first season is nothing more than a 6!
Story - 5/10 Tbh, just seems like a bleach ripoff at first but changes to something a little more original. But again, it's just like an average shonen with a demon-possessed main character along with his rival and friend and a girl ...

Firstly, I had huge expectations coming into this, but some things weren't just up to the point. Though the story is quite gripping, at some point, you get lost as if what is happening!
There isn't a huge cast but the development received by each character is quite forgettable. The main character , Thorfinn , doesn't seem like he's the main character at all. The only character that I found interesting was Askeladd. Canute , I don't even know what to say about this... I still don't understand how can a person switch from a scaredy cat to a prince with great pride in just ...

OKAY, First hear me out before you get offended by the teasing and bullying that Nagatoro does to Naoto( Senpai, if you didn't know his name)!
First off, Let's get this clear, I know some people take things like this seriously, and I completely understand why people get off about this. The bottom line is give it a try. I seriously find people calling this anime overrated and it just doesn't fit with it at all.
Though I watched it only after it was completely aired, I still found this Anime so so enjoyable!! People call this overhyped, overrated but I think they just don't wanna admit that it's pretty enjoyable and funny!! I think that the characters are natural and fit the environment, and the plot actually progresses reasonably. Of course, this contains the common romance anime troupes, but I enjoy how they use these troupes and make it into something much more than an average Romcom anime!! Okay, I was a little underwhelmed when first coming into this. But as the episodes played out one by one, The story just got better and better. I have seen people call this an Erased ripoff but what they fail to realize is how much they casually use this and it just becomes amazing as the plot progresses and each time Takemichi returns to the present, a new timeline unfolds and it just feels fresh instead of just repeating the cycle!

I will say that the overall anime is pretty solid and a straight 9 . But indeed there are some arcs in the story that just feels its being dragged on.
Overall , the characters were well written , But 4 of them were written a little better than the others IMO , These are Mustang , Scar , King Bradley and Hohenhiem. The music choices were good .
