I just got the time to only watch movies (as time permits) so, I'm practically a newbie into it and might give you just a few suggestions :)
if you saw my recent anime history you may see the movie entitled HARMONY and if you are interested in mysterious/dark kind of Sci-Fi genre then I persuade you to have a go for it :) I'm also limiting myself to tell you abt. the plot of the film (forgive me for that hoho) since it might spoil you and i don't want that to happen.

And for the Kimi no Na wa, I regret for watching it just recently. I thought it is some typical school-romance anime but damn! it is'nt. it doesn't affected my heart rate much but the sequencing is superb. I am amazed on how they portray its every event perfectly. and I tell you (again), This is not really your cliche kind of story--the idea is really great and possesses a satirical humor (kinda exaggerated the humor part lol).

Anyways, I'm suggesting you to also watch Detective Conan movies. they're great tho <3

before I forgot!
I don't know if you are already familiar with the film "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki," also known as "The Wolf Children" and it is neither great or worst, average I would say (a lot said that Wolf Children is a tearjerker film but the time I watched it, numbness is already filled within me. lol) so you might try the film to touch your heart.

-Byousoku 5 Centimeter
-Cross Road (actually, a commercial; just 2mins. long)
-Hotarubi no Mori e (just lazy to explain but damn! this one is too good! I''ve been crying for a month on it </3 </3 </3)
