Isekai Tensei: Recruited to Another World is your standard Isekai adventure story.
Story and characters: 6/10
-- Nothing is really all that special about it as it follows the same path as most other isekai's. You can pretty much take an isekai bingo card and place a chip on expected story events. The characters have decent personalities and they're easy to root for, but at the same time, they're not fleshed out well enough to allow you to grow attached to them.
Art: 3/10
-- It's bad. Character designs are as blocky as N64 graphics. Shading? There's pretty much no shading at all. It's just pure black

and and white. Because of the blocky art and lack of shading, you get disorientated trying to process events that are happening. The only reason why this is not a 1/10 is because the art does start to improve around volume 4, but even then, the characters art is still well below the acceptable standard for manga art. The backgrounds are nicely drawn, though. I'm going to be honest, I really don't like giving a bad score on art because it's such a subjective field, but the fact that the art makes it hard to process events in the story is what got me to rate it so low.
Enjoyment: 6/10
-- Even with the average story and bad art, I still found myself having fun reading it. However, that's just me and my ability to find enjoyment in any kind of fantasy story.
Overall: 4/10
-- There really isn't anything special about this manga. The story and characters are average, but the bad art is what really brings my score low. It doesn't feel like that the story has the potential to turn into something good and unique, so I don't see much improving on that front as it progresses. However, I can see the art gradually get better and I'm rooting for the mangaka to continue to improve on the character art.

I'm updating my review of "The Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight," which I last wrote 30 chapters in, and now with 82 chapters read. I'm happy to say that the manga has continued to get even better and one of the cons it had in the past, "Originality may be questioned since it feels heavily inspired by The Rising of the Shield Hero," can now be deleted as the story feels like it's own thing now. There's also more pros to add, which I'll label by adding an asterisk (*) to show what new parts of the review had been a major update.
PROS:
--Good story that keeps
...
you hungry for the next chapter. It may seem like a revenge story at first, but that's not the case as it was initially more of one where Elma tries to prove himself. *Once that phase passed, the current story is sort of a conspiracy on who or what is making dungeon bosses evolve and grow stronger.
--*On the subject of boss fights, the boss monster designs and fights are excellently created. I'm actually a bit sad that these boss fights are only in a manga because they would be incredible in an actual video game!
--The art has always been good, but it just keeps getting better as the chapters go on. It really shows how much passion the artist for this manga.
--*Elma is an excellent MC. His character design strikes a good balance of being powerful, but not so powerful where allies are rendered useless. He needs to fight hard in battles in order to win and his allies are crucial when it comes to securing victory. Even as he gets stronger, the power creep that comes with each new boss fight prevents him from becoming overpowered. He doesn't really have much a personality, but his companion Luce more than makes up for that.
--Speaking of Luce, she is a fun companion and her cheery personality makes her stand out in contrast to Elma's stoic demeanor. Plus, she's a useful character in which she helps out Elma in multiple areas. *Luce was never a useless character by any means, but her combat abilities have gone through a lot a growth in recent chapters and it's awesome to her truly become a critical hit machine.
--*The additional characters that Elma and Luce work with are all mostly memorable with distinct personalities and character designs. If / when they are introduced again, I highly doubt I'll ask myself "who is this again?" as I currently can recall most of those characters that they have worked with.
--If you love the fantasy/ isekai genre, this is a manga you'll have a high chance enjoying!
CONS:
--Chapters are too short and there's a ton of frustrating cliffhangers because of that.
--It feels like an isekai in name only since we know nothing about Elma's past life. The only times you know that this is an isekai and not a regular fantasy is when Elma remembers things about the game that the world is based on.
Overall, I recommend "The Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight" to anyone that enjoys fantasy/ isekai. It has a story that keeps you interested and the protagonists are easy to like and cheer for. *The manga keeps getting better with each chapter released and I personally look forward to each new chapter that's released!

Just a heads up to anyone planning to read this, this manga got axed just when the story was really starting to pick up. It really is a shame that this manga got axed because the concept of the MC discovering magic in a world where magic didn't initially exist/ was not known to have existed made it a very intriguing isekai. The art was also very well drawn, so it's also a shame that the artist's talents were wasted on short lived promotional material. The 19 chapters we got had the beginnings of what was a story with a lot promise. It at least

ends after a big conflict so it's not like it ended in the middle of an arc, but it did end in a way that clearly shows there's much more content that won't adapted. Unfortunately, we'll never know the manga's full potential because it was nothing more than a promotion for the light novel.

First of all, whatever the heck you're thinking about when looking at the title isn't true so get those assumptions out of your head. This is a story about the heartbreaking past of a teenaged girl and the heartwarming story of a man that becomes that girl's father figure that she never had. There's nothing indecent about the relationship those two have. I have no idea why the romance tag was added to this because it's more akin to a family relationship than a romantic one. Now for the breakdown:
Story: 9/10
Higehiro's story is SO close to being a 10/10 but some questions weren't answered and

there were some plot points involving supporting characters that went nowhere, like for example a love triangle involving Yoshida and two co-workers. If those issues were delt with better, it would be an easy 10/10. However, the story involving what this show is actually about, Yoshida and Sayu, is excellent.
Art: 9/10
The art style in this anime is absolutely gorgeous. The characters look great and the background scenery is incredibly well done. There are some minor scenes where the art becomes inconsistent, but for the most part, almost every scene is beautifully drawn. The animations are also well done, but not exactly silky smooth.
Sound: 10/10
Everything about the sound production is perfect. The ambient noise sounds excellent and the music fits the scenes perfectly.
Character: 8/10
If you just factor in the development of Yoshida and Sayu's relationship this would be a 10/10 as it really is excellent. However, what brings this segment down to an 8/10 is the lack of a detailed backstory about Yoshida and some supporting characters that had questionable roles. I also wish that the ending involving Sayu was a bit more fleshed out. Despite this, you will feel emotions for the characters and I can definitely see some viewers relate to some aspects of Sayu's situation.
Enjoyment 10/10
There wasn't one moment where I stated losing interest in this show. The drama elements are very well done and keep you involved in the show. Be warned, though, there are some moments about Sayu's past that some people will find disturbing, especially if they had similar experiences.
Overall: 9/10
"Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway" is one of the best dramas released in the 2020's so far, and unfortunately too many people are getting the wrong idea about the show due to the title. If you're one of those people, please give this show a chance as it's not what you think it is. It does address the issues that you're thinking about, but Yoshida is for once a caring anime protagonist that will never do those things. He cares deeply for Sayu and helps her straighten out her life and helps her face her past.

*minor spoilers ahead*
This is the probably the most ridiculous and stupid show I've ever watched. Don't expect any story because the one thing that should have a major story driver, the MC reuniting with his classmates, seems to have been saved for season 2. The MC is so ridiculously OP that absolutely nothing can touch him. I don't personally have a problem with OP characters, but Seiichi's skills literally leave him unable to be harmed even if he tried to let someone harm him. magically turned human. Everything about this anime seems it was intentionally designed to be as idiotic as possible, and I suppose it accomplished that goal. That's really all to say about this anime. However, despite how stupid and ridiculous this anime is, it's somehow still pretty enjoyable to watch. So, go watch this anime if you're willing to turn your brain off and indulge yourself in some idiotic fun!

This is one of the best non-isekai fantasy anime I've ever watched to far.
Story 9/10
One of the biggest problems I've noticed with 24 episode retro anime's is that the story sometimes feels like it drags on for too long due to an abundance of filler episodes. This is not the case with Scrapped Princess. The entirety of the show has no fillers and it leads up to a complete ending. Plus, the more you watch it, the more gripping the story becomes and I never at any time felt like I was losing interest. There are some minor questions I had that went unanswered,

but for the most part the story was consistent.
Art 9/10
The art and animations fit in perfectly with what you expect from early 2000's anime, but it's also ahead of it's time. I find the art and animations to very similar to Mushoku Tensei's.
Sound 7/10
The sound quality is exactly what you expect from a retro anime.
Character 9/10
Scrapped Princess does a great job in making you invested in the characters. I loved the main characters and even got invested in the side characters. The show also constantly keeps you guessing what characters are good and what characters are enemies.
Enjoyment 10/10
Everything about this show was enjoyable to me. I loved the characters, I loved the fight scenes, and it had a ton of suspense, too.
Overall 10/10
This is simply one of the best non-isekai fantasy anime I've ever watched. I was invested in this show from start to finish. Even you're not a fan of retro anime's this is a must watch for fans of the fantasy genre.

Wise Man's Grandchild is an enjoyable show to watch but I won't deny that the story is generic and that it completely forgets that it's an isekai to begin with.
Story: 6/10
The story itself is kind of generic but makes sense. However, it has one big problem: the show simply forgot that it was an isekai to begin with and just became a regular fantasy. If you're going to put an isekai element in, make sure to keep reminding the viewer about the fact that the MC came from a different world. Art and Animation: 9/10
The art style and animation was visually appealing and the battle scenes in particular were very well done. However, the fight scene with the demon bear in the first episode was the only major fault in the art & animation that I can think of, and having a badly animated fight in the first episode didn't make a very good first impression. Thankfully the fights after that had excellent animation.
Sound: 9/10
The sound design was great. Magic casting and the explosions in particular were satisfying to hear. The soundtrack was also very good.
Character: 6/10
The characters, specifically the supporting cast, were well fleshed out and likeable. However, the fact that show ignored the fact that the MC was isekai'd drops this score to a 6/10. We knew very little about Shin's life on Earth and it ultimately didn't matter anyway since the isekai element became completely irrelevant.
Enjoyment: 8/10
If you enjoy anime in the fantasy genre and lots of action, you're going to have good time watching this.
Overall: 7/10
I would honestly give this an 8/10 if it were just a regular fantasy anime with no isekai element. However, the fact that it is an isekai drops the overall down a point because the isekai element is completely irrelevant. Failing to keep the isekai element relevant is one of the biggest reasons why shows like Wise Man's Grandchild are separated from the pack of excellent isekai.

I came into this expecting it to be a dumpster fire due to the ratings but it's honestly not bad. The story is good enough to keep you interested and the characters are also good. There's nothing truly special about the story or characters, but it's good enough to be enjoyable to watch. However, the animations and CGI are so bad that it's laughable. The art itself is good, but the below average animations and truly appalling CGI knocks down my overall score from a 7/10 to a 6/10. I usually don't put too much stock into bad CGI as long as it's used at

a minimum, but this show uses CGI so much that it simply can't be ignored.
In short, as long as you don't let the bad CGI and animations bother you that much, "Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" will be an enjoyable show to watch.
