Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt features two angelic sisters: Panty and Stocking, who were kicked from the pearly gates of heaven for being terrible, god-awful people. They are then forced to slay ghosts in a city that lies between heaven and earth to earn heaven coins. Upon reaching enough they will be granted access back into the high heavens.
Side not: I advise that this anime be watched dubbed. The majority of the humor is in the dialogue, and it obviously has a stronger delivery with a voice rather than text.
Story:
Well I more or less covered the overall story in the prologue. Its interested because
...
its pits angels as being immoral and indecent, whilst they're nemesis, the Demon sisters, as proper and rule-going. PSG follows a sit-com style show, you dont have to see the previous episode(s) to know whats going and who's who. The actual plot doesnt pick up until much later in the anime, but manages to actual hold strong interest and keeps you wanting to see how it ends.
Art:
Not only is the art style and animation incredibly appealing and smooth, the show switches art styles without warning, often mocking western animations. They spare no expense in this though, and no matter the style that is chosen its manages to catch the viewers eye in every way.
Sound:
The OST produced by TCY Force and Taku Takahashi is easily one the best sound tracks form any anime. The rave and EDM beats from a variety of producers manage to cover all genres to fit any situation in the anime, be it action, suspense, or even sentimental moment. Every tack in the OST is strong enough to be a hit single. The voice acting is also incredible, bringing in strong talent for every character, as they manage to deliver hilarious lines throughout the series.
Character:
The characters of Panty and Stocking are some the most energetic, lively and amusing characters to come from any work of fiction. All of them bring they're own flavor of humor to the screen. There aren't many characters, but everyone gets plenty of screen time and they all have enjoyable moments so you won't be disappointed no matter who your favorite is. The world of PSG truly brings characters to life like no other.
Enjoyment:
Having seen this entire anime 7 or 8 times myself, I can safely call this one of the most enjoyable animes on the planet. Its easy to get into, the characters are always lively, the humor never gets stale, and once you start watching, you feel compelled to finish it to the end.
Overall:
Proudly donning a 10/10, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt continues to charm both new viewers and veterans of the series with its gorgeous art, rocking soundtrack, and side-splitting dialogue. There are very few categories where the anime doesnt go reach a perfect score, but the others easily bring it to a total 10. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for something charming, hilarious, and just looking for a damn good watch. Warning: this is easy to pick, and very hard to put down.
*Favorite Character:
Without a shadow of a doubt, this title easily goes to Stocking Anarchy, the younger of the two angelic sisters. Stocking manages to be one of the most adorable characters ever, with her love of sweets causing more harm than good. Her badassery also knows no bounds, being able to take on the most formidable of ghosts and demons. Also bringing a variety of humor throughout every episode, be it in her cat-fighting with Panty, or stuffing cookies in her face at inappropriate times. Stocking Anarchy is one of, if not my favorite character in all of anime. You go girl

Sword Art Online II picks up after the events of Sword Art Online. Much like the first one, the series is split into 2 12 episode arcs. The first arc 'Phantom Bullet' is outstanding. Its offer great action, an amazing new character, and just all around great enjoyment. The second arc however, 'Mothers Rosario' manages to lose all of these qualities. It lacks the action of Phantom Bullet, introduces a character who's mediocre at best, and seemed to nowhere fast. However, it manages to be a somewhat enjoyable watch, at least the first 12 episodes anyway.
Story:
Although the story has Kirito diving back into VR MMO's,
...
the story of Phantom Bullet offers a mystery aspect as well as the new character, Sinon, trying to overcome her fears and work with Kirito. Not necessarily the best plot, but it puts the characters in positions where they are forced to trust each other, and that always turns out for the better. Mothers Rosario on the other hand, focus on Asuna for a better portion of it. And while this isn;t necessarily a bad thing, the events which she gets caught up dont even feel like SAO.
Art:
This basically falls within the bounds of the first SAO. Nothing about the art really seemed to stand out too much, but its not boring and droll either. The visuals for the opening of the first half always come to mind when talking about this anime. As always, solid character designs really helps set the mood for the VR MMO's, and even the character outside of their avatars. The art style and animation and great and smooth and usual though.
Sound:
Strong voice acting, good effects, and a decent OST again put SAO on par with the original. This isnt a bad thing, but nothing really seemed to stand out of the crowd. I suppose theres not much to be said in this aspect, I suppose thats more good than bad.
Character:
Whilst Kirito, Asuna, and the rest of the classic SAO gang bring their charms to SAO II, its the introduction of the new character featured in Phantom Bullet that makes this step up. Sinon manages to bring a very relatable, yet lovable character out of the crowd. Yuuki, whom we meet in Mothers Rosario, is a character in which they make us feel sorry for, but we barely get to know before this happens. So while there a bit of back and forth here, Sinon easily makes this category stand out.
Enjoyment:
Once again, this manages to have to have the same feel as the classic SAO, but the Mothers Rosario arc seriously made a dent in the overall enjoyment this has to feature. I forced myself to finish it in the hopes something interesting would happen, and it didn't... However, I feel that Phantom Bullet significantly overshadows even the first SAO, and it what truly makes SAO II what it is.
Overall
Clocking in a point below the original, SAO II gets a 6/10. I almost can't stress enough how the second arc brought this down. Unfortunately, I have to weigh it in with Phantom Bullet, where the anime should have just stopped after. If youre a fan of the original SAO, check this one out, and enjoy the ride Phantom Bullet has to offer, however, take my warning of the second arc into consideration.
*Favorite Character
This without a doubt goes to Sinon. Its a little harder for me to sympathize with a character, but Sinon manages to hit the sweet spot. Someone who's fears feel realistic, anyone whos had to deal with an actual phobia can tell where Sinon is coming from when she faces her fears. Sinon also manages to bring a handfull and basassery with her sniper rife, the Hecate II. Being originally abrasives towards Kirito adds an adorable side to her that is always welcome in a charater. Sinon not only manges to be the strongest character in SAO II, but easily one of my favorite anime characters.

Being the heavy gamer that I am, It was hard to resist Sword Art Online: where thousands are trapped inside of an Virtual Reality MMORPG. Not only do they have to make it through 100 floors to escape this death game; if they die in the game, they die in real life
Story:
Even though many other animes have used the trope of people being trapped inside of a video game, I feel like SAO put its own creative twist on it. The events that unravel while Kirito and his party try to escape add a unique set of challenges. In addition, the way the relationship between
...
Kirito and Asuna unfolds was just so realistic its hard not to not hate it. Even for a trope of a plot, SAO manages to make a few good stops along the way.
Art:
The over art to Sword Art Online was more or less average. Theres nothing particularly incredible about the art that really stood out, both in the art style and animation. Even the designs of characters, monsters, and locations just seemed like your average fantasy RPG setting and whatnot. That could have been what they were going for; like a 'This is familiar because Ive played Final Fantasy sort of way' which is understandable. It would have been nice to see a city or a boss monster that really caught my attention.
Sound:
Well being of a better quality than the art, the sound in SAO wasnt anything near amazing, but I did have a great OST, a lot of which managed to get me nostalgic, reminding me of my old school RPG days. The english voice cast fit the characters rather well, and included some of my favorite voice actors.
Character:
Im a bit torn about the characters in SAO, mostly because Kirito isnt an amazing main character, but on the other half of the spectrum, Asuna manages to become a greater character as the series goes on. Kiritos worst problem manages to be his straight up OPness. Theres almost nothing in the world of SAO he cannot do. He is also under the firm belief that he overcome any obstacle (which he can) but his cockiness gets old fast. However, he does put the breaks on sometimes, especially when it comes to Asuna. For anime heroines, Asuna stands among the best, she manages to be so realistic and believable, but has a firm stance on what she believes in. The greatest reason for her standing out so strong lies in her character design however. She is such a beautiful character, but lacks an hourglass figure and a skimpy outfit, which every anime feels like it needs. The side characters make up for most everything. Even though they were all enjoyable I felt that none of them really seemed to stand out too much, but a few strong characters are better many plain ones.
Enjoyment:
Sword Art Online is easy to watch, easy to get into, and has a smooth flow all the way through it. Fun characters and a looming threat make it easy to keep interest and transitions from episode to episode are smooth, with little in the way of content being missed.
Overall:
Raking in a solid 7/10 Sword Art Online, doesnt manage to stand out in any particular field, but it does hold strong in all areas and not make any mistakes along the way. If your looking for a solid story with a fun cast of characters and some epic fight scenes, definitely check out SAO.
*Favorite Character:
This one goes to Lizabeth the blacksmith for several reasons. She is voiced by Sarah Anne Williams, one of my voice talents. I tend to not be big on the abrasive tsundere type, but she just did it for me. Blacksmithing is also something Im fond of in fantasy settings, so her being of the best just gave her more points. Her few episodes that she spends with Kirito also manage to be some of the best in the show.

The world of No Game No Life begins as two sibling NEETs are thrown into another world vastly different from our own. Between the two of them, they are the greatest gamers on planet earth, but they inhabit a single avatar known as 'Blank', who has never lost a single game. The world that they are thrown into revolves around conflicts being settled by playing games. The two siblings believe that this world is where they truly belong
Story:
Im gonna be frank here, the story of this anime isn't really all that great, because theres not much of one to being with. The idea of average
...
people being thrown into a new world is not anything new for anime. And although the story does pick up a couple episodes in just kind of unrolls like a carpet. It's not a bad plot by any means just a little lackluster. If you're into the really plot heavy story's, be careful if you check this one out.
Art:
This anime has very different art style from other anime. It uses very bold outlines and colors that almost remind of Borderlands. They also throw in references to things like Phoenix Wright and Doremon in the animation. Its very visually appealing and charming.
Sound:
I always feel like theres not alot to talk about when it comes to sound but here it goes. As almost always I watched this anime dubbed and I was very pleased with the english voice cast. All the characters voices fit their personalities very well. It was even more impressive considering some of the characters had strange ways of speaking. The OST was also very pleasant and it used some goofy yet appropriate sound effects.
Character:
Now heres where I thought things really shined. First off the two main characters are fantastic. We already know from the beginning that they have a genius level intellect but some of things they pull of were mind blowing. As the anime progresses their party grows (almost like an RPG) with a vast difference of characters who all manage to bring fun and excitement. There was honestly no one that I would call bad, or even boring. Each of them get several spotlight moments throughout the show so matter who your favorite is you are sure to pleased in that department.
Enjoyment:
This gets a solid 8/10 for a reason. First off its a very easy show to jump into and get started. The action starts almost immediately as the anime begins and were already given fun characters to cheer on. With the colorful and almost comic book art style, coupled with the great OST and superb voice cast, its both visually and audibly appealing. Most of the episodes end on an epic cliffhanger, which makes you want to start the next one up right away. I feel like the lack of plot and serious scenes knocks a few points off, but either way its still a very fun and enjoyable watch.
Overall
I had a great time watching this anime and I suggest it to those who are looking for fun filled adventure, with a great cast of characters. Again with the enjoyment, I feel the lack of plot and overall goofiness of this anime means I had to chip away from a perfect 10, but an 8 is still a very good score.
*Favorite Character
This one caught me off guard, because when I usually call someone my favorite character, rarely does it change. But I called it a little too early in this case. When the younger of the siblings named Shiro first opened her mouth, I wanted to put her in a box and take her home with me. She was just so adorable. But when Jbril, a later character joins the party, my mind slowly but surely shifted. Jbril is just so... I dont know how to describe her and thats probably why shes my favorite. You just never know how shes going to do something so she keeps the surprises coming. Also her fascination with the main character is already a trait that she shares with some of my other anime favorites. Jbril and all her oddities will certainly hold a special place amongst my other favorites.
