I watched this show right after Chaos head and given that they go together (or are supposed to in some respect) I wasnt expecting much if anything. However once I got into the show, I saw that it was going to be drastically different from chaos head and was on a level of its own, very much deserving of the high rankings it has recieved. Without further ado, my review.
The story is one that never fails to intrigue people, as it follows a group of friends as they manage to build a time machine. This is almost certain to draw people in as we all
...
have thought about what we would do given the opportunity to time travel. These guys however dont aim for the grandure or almost impossible goals that many would if they were given the chance to alter their pasts. This follows the group as they live out a span that is around 3 weeks in time, but since it is about time travel, alot more happens in these 3 weeks than would normally.
Something that as a viewer you should be aware of is that the show does start slowly(at least in my opinion), and about halfway through the overall prgression just halts, but as ive stated, this is mainly due in part to the time traveling.
The characters were so... bland, at least at first to me. I say this because they dont really seem to have very much personality, but quite quickly my view of this was able to change(even though, im not quite sure when). The main character is okabe rinturo and he fancies himself a mad scientist and while thats all well and good, the whole schtick that he was working with got stale rather quickly, but once they quit cramming the idea down our throats I liked him far more. Aside from him you have the perky friend who is a girl but not a girlfriend, a second scientist, a steriotypical computer geek, and humorously enough a rather beautiful character (who is a dude).
As far as my enjoyment goes, it was in following the plots that they cook up in order to try and revert the changed world that they had created back to the world that it had previously been. Whats more, these characters who I initially pegged as emotionally shallow quickly turn into very expressive induviduals which I was very happy to see. Finally I will say this: even though Steins Gate didnt impress me at first, it obviously turned me around so much that I cant stop kissing its perverbial ass now, which more than justifies the high praise that Steins Gate has earned!

When you dont know what is real and what is not what would you do?
This is (in my mind) the basis of the show that is Chaos HEAD, as it follows a young man who is severely disillusioned and could be reffered to as the "sample platter for mental illness"
As ive made clear this guy is messed up in the head and to compliment this there are lots of crazy-ass murders happenning in his neigborhood. By this point you as a viewer will think that you have it all figured ot, but dont worry because there are 180' plot twists every 30 seconds in
...
this show.
The characters are where the problem with this show comes for me. There are about seven characters or so running around throughout thsi show, but you dont really get the feel of knowing any one of them. That is a problem because if you dont know characters, you cant relate to them; and i you cant relate to them, you wont care one way or the other.
The other problem is that you dont know what is going on until the show is 2/3s done, granted i dont even think the writers knew what was going on until that point so how are we supposed to. As I said earlier about all the plot twists, the story is ever-changing and not in a good way. It changes by completey dropping what had been going on, and binging up some crap that is supposed to be the new angle it takes.
I think that the show had alot of potential at the begining with a crazy guy running around with simoltanious murders occuring, but before long all hope of a half-way decent story is lost and it just becomes battle to see if you can last until the end.

I am going to try and sum this anime up in as few words as humanly possible, okay here goes: "Go! orgasm powered robot of DOOM!" There I did it, I could end this review right now and proudly say that I left nothing out but id rather keep going.
Story: This is about a bunch of teens/young adults piloting robots as they fight the shadow angels of atlantia. Heres the thing, the robots have to "merge" and at the end of the "merging" process the three (yeah it just became a 3-way) pilots all seem to end up having simoltanius orgasms. Just whatever happenned to
...
waiting to merge until marriage!? Back to buisness and all jokes aside. They fight the shadow angels because the shadow angels are basically farming the humans to maintain their own lives, and humanity aint having it so how better to fight back then by building some robots and making a mecha series about your struggles.
To be completely honest, I was expecting nothing out of the mecha side of this show, which is to say that as a mecha series I wasnt expecting much out of the show period. I was surprised though, the story was pretty good and kept me interested all the way through. There was also a fun bit of comedy, granted the funniest bits to me were just what the characters said as they were, uh, well, merging...
Art: Holy crap, I was blown away by the art, the fight scenes were depicted soooo well. They were so cleanly done I was impressed.
Characters: This show has a character for everyone: the wild one, the snotty high-society duo, the geeky kids, sports jock, emo chick; it has it all!
As such, as is always the case with such a vast group of characters there are sometimes problems getting so we as viewers know their back grounds but I feel like they did a good job explaining them to us.
Enjoyment: Like I said, I didnt expect anything out of this show, but It frickin rocked. A few viewers might have been turned off by the sugistivness of the merges but its okay, just so long as you know whats coming (ha ha anybody catch that, thats punny) but yeah I liked it, and I hope that you will too.

Okay, ill probably take some heat for this review, but this should be said.
Air has all the makings of being a gread anime, there was only one problem: It Sucked.
Now lets talk about why I think that this did in fact suck. For starters, as ive already implied, there was potential for something truly magical, but it never happens. This anime couldve been the poster-child for the phrase "cut the shit!" because after the halfway mark I found myself thinking this at least once every thirty seconds over the course of the second half of the show(do the math and it comes out to about
...
3600 times this though crossed my mind).
Some more problems are that there was a questionable beginning, the plot climaxed far too soon, and only about half the viewers knew half of what was going on half the time! In addition the characters spend more time talking about their dreams than Martin Luther King Jr. (yes that just happenned) and I get that the dreams were supposed to be symbolic, but after a certain point you dont care anymore, and they just become a burden.
I was sad at the end of this, but not in a good way. When im sad or crying at the end of an anime I want it to be because the story touched, or changed me somehow (examples would be angel beats, or clannad) NOT because I was sad/pissed that I just wasted time watching the show.
I will end on this: the story was cut far too short, given more time i think that they couldve taken this somewhere; this just goes back to what ive been saying about wasted potential. The end (if you stick around long enough to see it) is quite touching (that is if you understand it) but that in no way salvages the ruined hulk of this show.
PS- the marks I gave Air are based on the fact that I knew what was going on, and I am recognizing that there was potential, had I not understood it they wouldve been far lower.

This show is the greatest thing that I have ever experienced, in that it has completely changed my outlook on life.
I watched clannad and really liked it, so I decided to keep going with this, and they really outdid themselves, there is really no comparison whatsoever between this and the 1st season. The first season might keep you interested, but all in all it is slightly generic, this however made me feel emotionally attatched, and I laughed, and I cried, and I loved every second of it.
The story is essentially what happenned after the "happily ever after" at the end of clannad. It mainly follows
...
the development of the realationship between tomoya and nagisa. I will say this, at a point it gets very depressing and the general air of sadness might make you want to quit watching, I know because it happenned to me, but you NEED to watch until the end and if you do, I promise that you wont be disapointed.
I of couse will not say what is so sad, or on the flip side what is so wonderful because that would be the fastest way immaginable for me to spoil this.
As I said before the emotion running through me from this show was very powerful, I felt like I had experienced the happiness, saddness, hopelessness, redemption, and all the other emotions that were running through the characters (mainly tomoya) and this is not something that I say lightly. I didnt cry the day my dad left me forever, and I have never been able to express much(if any) emotion, so the fact that this show could make me cry so many times be it from something sad and painful, or something extremely beutiful is a testament to how great it is.
This is something that I am very happy that I was able to experience and I hope that you will watch it too!

Would it be out of line for me to call this an exhilerating magical experience? because thats how this show was for me.
Story: This follows a young man Tomoya Okazaki as he goes through his highschool days. Upon meeting a girl nagisa, he begins spending time with her trying to help her with various problems, and before long hes got a pack of six girls following him around that he has helped out in some way shape or form.
Character: Like I said we have Tomoya who is some socially awkward delinquent who has got to be the best behaved delinquent ever. He isnt disrespectful,
...
and he also has this knack for helping others. Nagisa is a socially awkward girl who befreinds tomoya, as she was held back a year she has a tough time with others. Fuko is a ghost! Holy shit! No seriously though, shes in the hospital and her spirit is apparently wandering around the school. Kotomi is a socially awk-okay look, everybody is socialy awkward in this show so im just gonna stop this now. *clears throat* okay, where was I, Kotomi, she is a girl that lost both of her parents and is alone in the world. Tomoyo is a girl who just beats the hell out of anybody and everybody so i guess her issue could just be anger management. Finally, Sunohara is tomoyas best friend and as is stated in the show, he is doomed to be the sidekick for the rest of his life, or at least until the show is over...
Enjoyment: I started watching this show because I heard that it was similar to angel beats, and I loved that show so l fugured id love this too, and you know what, i did love it. It takes a special kind of show to make me cry, and surprisingly this one did that, like I said before, this show is just magical to me, thats the best way for me to sum it up.

Angel Beats, im sure we've all heard of it and as ive discovered, with good reason. This follows the afterlife battlefront in their struggle to remain in this world of limbo between life and whatever it is that comes next, as you should know by now, this means that all the people in this show are dead.
The Story: Pretty much what ive written above, but it also focuses on the struggles that the characters faced in real life, and how they eventually come to accept it. It also has humor and romance tossed in to compliment this story.
The Art: Was pretty good, but really
...
what more can I say.
The Characters: This has quite a group of characters and all of their diverse personalities and traits serve to compliment each other wonderfully.
Enjoyment: Honestly at the beginning of this show I had no idea what was going on, but it fell together and turned into the most touching story that ive seen thus far.
I'm not the first to say this, and I know I wont be the last: in the last episode I was crying my eyes out... I sat there throught the entire thing thinking "im not gonna cry, im not gonna cry" but before I knew the tears were rolling out, it is just such a touching show, and I loved it.

I will assume that all of you who are reading this have already seen, and hopefully enjoyed the 1st season of Code Geass.
Now, most of you are probably like me in that you saw season one, and thought it was pretty good, until the last couple episodes when i'm just all like "...okay, what the hell just happenned?" Well, fear not! because this season explains everything and removes all of that confusion from the picture.
The Story: same as the last one, lelouch/zero/exiled prince seeking revenge against the britanian empire. His buddy/mortal enemy suzaku fighting him at every turn. The black knights his terrorist group,
...
etc, etc.
I started refering to this as a soap opera meets the terminatior, in that there were lots of robots, and all of the 180' plot twists, which I wont say becuase I would probably ruin something for somebody.
The characters: All those from last season return, and we have a few new additions, but by now we all know their stories so I dont need to say anything here.
Enjoyment: I really enjoyed this show, the story was gripping, the art was incredible(especially where the fight scenes are concerned) and overall I was very happy with this. The ending of the show which is probably the most important part of this season, is one you may or may not like, but more importantly, you can find closure in the ending.

Well, what can I say that all the other reviewers havent already about this amazing show... not alot but here goes. This was pitched to me by a friend who said that this was alot like death note (because we both liked that show), but I disagree. While they both are psychological in nature and have equally devious leads, that doesnt mean that they are alike, so what im saying is that those of you who came here expecting a death note clone should look elsewhere.
WARNING-MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
Story: The story follows a young britanian lelouch as he tries to bring down the britanian empire(im sure
...
we all know this part by now) by killing off the important leaders, who just happen to be his family. He takes on a false identity and takes control of a band of terrorists and fights highly strategic battles against the empire, his family, and his best friend.
Art: the artwork was friggin fantasic especially in the fight scenes but aside from that theres not alot i can say.
Character: The characters range from bubbly or sullen all the way to cruel and sadistic. I like the stark contrasts in the ideas of justice put forth by lelouch and suzaku as they fight for opposing sides. The characters have deep backstories and you get to know them, which is a luxury that we dont get with very many shows.
Enjoyment: I started watching this one day and before I knew it, I had seen the whole show, and had no idea where all the time had went. The one problem I had is that in the last few episodes I was sitting there wondering "what the hell just hapenned?" and thats how the show ended. This woudve pissed me off beyond belief if it werent for the second season of the show where all of the questions are answered.
In Closing: This show comes together magnificantly and is easy to follow, you will be drawn in and hooked. It is one of the finest shows that Ive seen to date, and I can confidently say that you wont be disapointed by Code Geass.

This is just another couple episodes of my beloved highschool dxd series, and all of you who loved dxd dont really need a review to tell you to watch this. The story, follows the gang as they fight some monster as it goes around attacking people. girls really, with big boobs (seems to me that this monster keeps halving the people it can potentially attack) but regardless it has some fine pickings to choose from.
Then the second is Issei trying to learn the true meaning of what it is to be a demon... then he gets possessed by an uber-perverted mummy (unrelated incidents) and
...
fun stuff goes down. Oh, I wont say what happens but in ep 2 from 13:05~13:22 I was sooo freaking happy, and if you like highschool dxd, you NEED to see this for those 17 seconds if nothing else
These are just another few fun half-hour segments from dxd and I enjoyed them(perhaps a little too much!) so if you liked dxd youll enjoy this too.
