Hey, sorry to contact you out of the blue. I noticed from your manga list that you've been reading "Though Young People Recoil From Entering the Black Magic Industry, I Found Its Treatment of Employees Quite Good When I Entered It, and the President and Familiar Are Cute Too So Everything Is Awesome" or "Wakamono no Kuro Mahoubanare ga Shinkoku desu ga, Shuushoku shite Mitara Taiguu Iishi, Shachou mo Tsukaima mo Kawaikute Saikou desu!" recently.

My sincere apologies for disturbing you, but I've just read chapter 18 & had to reach out to someone else to read it. I read it online at 18lhplus.com & I'm not sure if the author was going for extreme parody or whether it was extremist translators, so thought I'd ask someone else who's read it. There's so much overt racism & prejudiced theories that I didn't know what to make of it. Was the author making some point through this extreme parody of Nazi SS views from WW2, or are the translators just having a poke at a range of current topical issues?

If this makes no sense to you then maybe the version of chapter 18 that was uploaded onto 18lhplus.com was corrupted. It seemed like someone venting all their personal gripes with this racist, patriarchal, capitalist society.

Ps I also notice that you're watching Maoyu ~ Archenemy & Hero; it's been sat on my ptw list for ages & I've been meaning to get around to watching it, but never have. I've read and watched a number of reviews on this show & have heard a range of opinions, mostly positive. What do you think of the show, is it a good romance worth investing my time in (I like soppy romance, where against all odds our unlikely couple pull through & get together, (which is what I hear this show is about)?

For me a romance show is only as strong as the bond between the main characters who are in love. I enjoy watching a fulfilling romance where two different people slowly fall for each other. I've found romance shows can be hit and miss. I thought Plastic Memories, despite the quirky subject matter of intelligent robots, made for a great romance story.

It may be slow but I like the wholesome romantic bond in Ah! my Goddess is worth mentioning & a constant theme of the show. Toradora is ok, but not the most satisfying romance ever. DeaRs and My Bride Is A Mermaid are a couple of romcoms with decent romantic elements imo.

I see you scored Infinite Stratos & Ladies Vs Butlers high, interesting. IS is a work of greatness, with Charlotte the sexy French Maid clearly the best girl. I assume you agree? Did you watch the dub or sub? The dub with the accents is so much better than the original, Japanese in a French or German accent just doesn't work as well as English inflected with German or French.
