Red Ash: Gearworld is a pretty average to be fair.
Story: 6
The biggest annoyance of the story for me is how fast paced it is. It tries to do too much in a short span of time. There are also a few logical leaps which break my suspension of disbelief.
The concept of the anime however, is rather interesting. If done with better pacing, then this would be a rather compelling anime.
Art: 9
Unique art style which is visually interesting, detailed backgrounds, characters and designs. Few minor issues, likely from it being a YATP. However, can't fault it too much for that so it's a 9 from me
...
for that.
Sound: 4
Uninteresting but fitting, the music doesn't have much depth to it but is appropriate for the scenes where it's used and the sci-fi backdrop of the short film.
Character: 5
I like some things and I dislike some things. The pacing as mentioned under story has lead to a few leaps in plot - but it also lead to a leap in how characters interact which makes me shake my head in confusion.
However, the characters develop their personality through actions rather than words, which is great. Having to explain a personality is one of the worst things an anime can do to show character. Small things the characters do also help the plot and development on at the same time, so is also pretty nice.
Enjoyment: 7
For all it's quirks, the enjoyment of this series comes from the concept, ways the characters are shown at the beginning and most of all the art. It is thoroughly entertaining for the 20 minutes it was around. Loses points here for leaving a few plot threads open since it doesn't have a sequel.

Generation of Chaos is something I expected to be bad, but was somehow much worse than I thought it would be.
Story: 2
There being two stories in it that are completely unrelated makes so little sense to me with the runtime. This means that the plot of the second half is so badly executed and confusing yet so cliched at the same time it is hard to get through - even though it's less than 10 minutes long. The first half is the reason this isn't a one: although a Pokemon rip-off in a lot of ways, it does give a unique spin on the formula.
...
However, it is too overt in it's friendship message (that is pretty hard to see due to no interaction) and a lot of details feel very unnecessary to what is being told.
Art: 1
Off model characters, bad 3d backgrounds, designs that are forgotten 3 minutes after watching it, janky and there isn't much more to say. Bad.
Sound: 1
Can't remember any music, some of the voice acting is too over the top and the voice of the knight feels very unfitting.
Character: 1
Two of the characters (of whom I can't remember the names of) from the first half have no point of being in the story. They provide little in the way of humour or plot development and could honestly have been left out.
All other characters in the stories feel there just to be there, for things to happen to them. You do not learn to care for any of them. You do not see how they change in any way. They don't even really have traits (plural). They are as flat as paper.
Enjoyment: 1
Confusingly bad. Not so bad that it's funny or good enough to say "huh that was OK".

To summarise my thoughts on this bluntly, it is one of the worst anime I have seen in some time.
Story: 3
The story, all though seems good in theory really is not. With the other elements that should make this a story lacking, this causes it to be absolutely terrible. However, it is less generic than other bad titles I have seen, so gains a slightly higher three for the ingenuity. Its execution and rushed pace is what makes it lacking.
Art: 1
Less art, more badly rendered CGI that feels jolted and out of place. Even for the time it was created, 2001, there was much better
...
CGI available in western media. With how badly produced it is, I could barely watch it. Mouths moved out of sync with their voices and it feels as if there are frames missing.
Sound: 1
The voice acting is pretty terrible, while sound effects feel like they came from stock. Doesn't help that some of these sounds felt like they were used on repeat to make it seem longer (especially the movement of the submarine).
Character: 2
Simply not a one because Amamika's naivety at the beginning used somewhat well later on. However, between the characters being boring and repetitive and bland, there wasn't much room for improvement. Of particular note is that of the parents at the beginning. We as the viewers never learn why they took it upon themselves to restore humanity, which I think is a fatal flaw.
Enjoyment: 1
So bad, it's bad. Unlike other bad anime I have watched, I could not gain a single shred of enjoyment from laughing at how bad it was. This was simply cringey, with a few points of "this is mediocre".

Story - 3
The story is simple, it is of a man trying to gain a drop of water through comical slapstick. So, as to rate this, I must look to the comedy and think of how good it is and that is, of course, relative. In my opinion it is not that funny at all.
On the flip side, it also shows his descent into madness as he runs out of water. How it is shown visually, I can comment that the pursuit is shown very well. However, I cannot fathom some of the occurrences that occur in what was seemingly a hallucination.
Ergo, it was not
...
that interesting in terms of story.
Art - 5
The lack of colour to show the bleak world (as well as it likely being a constraint of the medium of the time) is marvellous. The background is strangely surreal, fitting for the short. The character feels somewhat comical which aligns with the style.
Sadly, it just feels so basic. Like there was not much effort induced in this piece. Ergo, a 5. A good concept, but not the best execution.
Sound - 1
It is a silent film, so has music running only. This music does not fit to the animation in my eyes so is not deserving of anything more.
Character - 2
The character simply has no exposition, however there are hints to his nature. The shoe he wears is nailed, so likely leather. As a result he's a businessman going insane.
So not much on the character front, but there's a hint.
Enjoyment - 3
I just didn't enjoy it. It was boring.

Story: 8
There isn't really much of a story, but it's exactly what the manga says in the label. It's pretty funny, seeing the poor protagonist go through the harem tropes and not only realise it, but hate it.
Art: 3
Quite poor, though it may be parodying as well. Many harems have similar character designs, that are pretty forgetful. This is no exception.
Character: 5
...
Can't really build up the characters in a single one-shot, and the main character isn't the best seeing as he only has a few traits.
Enjoyment: 9
Loved it. As someone who generally does not like harems, this is rather great in displaying the common occurrences and flipping them to comical effect.

Skelter Heaven is the worst anime ever. Half an hour ago, I thought that title would be deserved by Mars of Destruction. No longer do I think that.
Story: 1
The story of this anime is incoherent and feels almost non-existent. It does not help that a good portion of this OVA is worth nothing. On top of that, the one interesting element is executed horrendously.
Art: 1
Jarring animation, both 2D and 3D. Hard to watch, especially the mechas. The character design isn't too bad, but the main guy reminds me of Phoenix Wright.
...
Sound: 1
Go and listen to a cat in a washing machine: it's less likely to make your ears hurt. Both the OP and ED are torturous.
Characters: 1
The OVA did not make me care for the characters. Nor do I remember their names, nor do I believe any of the characters received any sort of development.
Enjoyment: 1
It was a slog.
Overall: 1
When I reviewed Mars of Destruction, I at least had a lot to write about. This was beyond description.

This is, if not the worst, one of the worst things I have ever watched. Not just anime. However, I must insist that this be watched, if only to gain a greater appreciation that every other anime is not this.
Story: 1
It has very little in terms of plot. However, it actually manages to coherently string together a chain of events, albeit hard to decipher. It has very little sense and the philosophical message it attempts to provide seems nothing more than a terrible twist. The hospital scenes are the worst part of the story, especially due to the certain "injury" of one and the strange
...
recuperation of the other. Why the Ancients are only attacking now seems like a plot hole. Both action sequences feel jittery and cut-off. there is little tension.
Art: 2
The art is not bad enough to not watch it. Plain, forgettable, cliche and poor are all words I would use to describe it. The design of characters are all somewhat similar to every other anime available: and those anime have better artists seeing as the characters seem off model at times. The backgrounds seem to come from some sort of stock drawings. The MARS suit and head Ancient are both mecha designs which I gained a sense of deja vu from.
Sound: 1
The music, again, is plain. The voice acting feels off and the music is added in without warning or cause. The roof scene is the worst offender.
Character: 1
Bland. I have no clue why most of the characters were there. I think there were ten characters, but only one has any time dedicated to them. I don't even remember their names and I only finished watching it five minutes ago. The main character has zero development. There is some blond guy, an old guy and a woman that serve little purpose. One of the team has no lines that I remember. The girl that seems to be the love interest only shouts his name once, has a conversation with another member of the team and nods at him. The only true interactions between characters is where the green-haired girl asks the guy to use whatever-that-thing-was to defeat the Ancient and the talk between the father and son. We don't even see the father.
Enjoyment: 1
If you haven't already guessed: I hate this. If anything this is a guide on how to not make anime and waste time. This anime lost me two minutes in. It was promising, then it was a waste of time.
Overall: 1
After this, I think hell would include being forced to watch this for an eternity. Once was enough. Never again.

Story - 10
Better not talk about this one because I can't trust myself to ruin the ending. However, the story is beautifully touching.
Art - 10
Again, it can only be described as beautiful. The cover is the most amazing art in manga I have seen in a while.
Character - 9
How the two characters develop is sadly very interlinked with the story and yes, I still don't trust myself.
Enjoyment - 10
...
A rollercoaster of emotion, I cried, laughed and cried again. The raw emotion is what makes this one of the best things I have ever read.
Overall - 10
In the end, this is difficult to describe without ruining the perfection it holds. Being a one-shot, I wouldn't expect too much from it. However, this has turned out to be an amazing journey in only 50 pages.

Please remember 2014 is a continuation of the previous Fairy Tail anime.
Story: 8
The end of the GMG arc is awesome. The impact later is tedious, but at this point it is amazing.
Sun Village arc is nothing of note, bar the foreshadowing and the reminder of better times.
Tartaros is probably the best arc of the entire series, as well as the darkest.
Can't really comment on the final few episodes plot but can say they were great ending for the series.
Art: 7
...
The art can be a little off at times. The bright colours of before slowly fades to become a bit darker and less vibrant, reflecting the edgier tone of Tartaros.
Sound: 8
The soundtrack for the 2014 series is different to the original, but is just as good.
Character: 9
The characters are the reason I've watched this so long. Each character has their defining attributes, contributing to why this series is so good to me.
Enjoyment: 9
The feature that prevents a 10 in this category is the amount of fanservice included within the series.

Story: 8
The story is not original: body swapping is something explored in other works. Kokoro Connect and Yamada-kun both come to my mind. However, the plot twists and how plot points were shown early on made it seem as if nothing had been pulled from thin air. The ending was magnificently beautiful and tear inducing. The drawback was how jumpy some transitions were, mainly in the first half of the film. It confused me once or twice and felt off.
Art: 10
The art was incredibly detailed, this being some of the best work I have seen in anime art. Landscapes to character design; all were amazing.
Sound:
...
10
The music, and its usage, cannot be faulted. The feelings of certain scenes would not be the same without the soundtrack.
Character: 7
Characters are well developed in some instances but not in others. Both protagonists have fully fleshed out personas, as does Mitsuha's friends and family. Taki's life is less explored, the only person truly having character being his co-worker. Ergo, I can only prescribe this category a 7.
Enjoyment: 9
The jumpiness in the first hour annoyed me a bit. Other than that, I loved it.
