Both are short (It Vorspiel being 3 chapters and Kaitou Alice is 16 chapters). Both have quirky characters helping people, with It Vorspiel it's through requests while Kaitou Alice is Phantom Thief style. It Vorspiel has more supernatural elements but both contain demons. For me, the strongest similarity was the darker undercurrents. The darker sides of the stories are mixed with the humor and have great potential, but are cut off abruptly so we don't get to see it fully play out.

-Both main characters are boys and have traveling companions. -Both battle agains strange creatures for P.H. it's Chains for D. Gray-Man it's Akuma. -Oz has Jack just as Allen has 14th. -Both kids have special weapons they use to defeat there respective creatures. -Both boys are about the same age. -I'm pretty sure both have some messing with time but my theory of that hasn't been proven with D. Gray-Man.

-Both main characters make a contract with an demon being to get out of a nasty situation, are born into the upper class, and will died once the contract is over (Well in Pandora Heart the contractor may as well be dead) -The demon beings are used for protection and fighting -Both series have a servant-and-master relationship with the demon being and contractor -You have no idea what happened in the past traumatic event with both series. -Both main characters are searching for something but the things are different --Both are not finished and are a page turner(at least in my opinion) but Pandora Hearts does have several plot twisters --And finally both have been made into good Animes that start the same way but end up having a different plot then the Mangas

In Slayers is two people traveling together(A guy and a girl) with other characters that come and go. In Orphen its three people traveling together(2 guys and one girl) -Slayers had quite a bit more cheese then Orphen but both are entertaining

-Both involve girls changing into there "super" forms and fighting evil. In TokyoMew the girls "super" forms involve whatever animal they can attributes from. In MerMel the "super" forms are mermaids. -Both have LOTS of cheese and a lot if it is found in the attacks and how the evil is defeated -Both of the main girls have love complications but unlike Tokyo Mew Mew the complications in MerMel continue in to the next series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure(which wasn't that good compared to the first one) luckily the complications are with the same guy, bad/funny/entertaining news: the main girl has to seduce him all over again because he has no idea who she is. -Both are littler kids shows but its good for a laugh for those of us over the age of 10

In both mangas the main character is a guy and their names both start with "T" _but I'm sure that's a coincidence. Taisou and Train both like to battle and both carry around a special weapon for Train it's his gun, Hades, and for Taisou it's his sword, Fukuma no Tsurugi(I think). Both of them also come across imposters of themselves and neither tell the imposters who they are.
