My anime engagement is currently very low. I've been very active with anime from 2017 to 2020, same with video games (which I've been active with most of my life and probably always will be). I think my taste has grown to the point where I know whether or not I will enjoy an anime simply by watching a promotional video of it or even looking at the cover art. I've picked out the anime I plan to watch (and I've looked at everything) and redid my scores on "Completed" anime. So, what you see on my list is up-to-date with my realized taste. I'm confident that the anime I picked out as "plan to watch" will end up having high scores and be as memorable as my other favorites.
Manga doesn't really interest me. Not because it's bad but it just doesn't impress me in the same way anime do. Music, careful direction, good voice-acting, flashy visuals (in other words, cinematography) are all very important to me and manga just doesn't have that. I might read some of the manga for stories which will be unfinished in the anime. For example, if I'll watch a 12 episode anime which barely touches the manga's story, I'll try reading it.
I also want to make a note about some cute anime I used to watch a lot (Pokemon, Digimon, etc.) - I don't think I "grew out of them". It's just that I used to watch those anime primarily for the cuteness and relaxation of it but I feel like if I wanted that - I'd have much more fun playing video games. Games offer infinite interactivity and they are not as heavy on stories... or rather, they give you more freedom over what and when you want to see as the story. In a game I'm not pressured to go watch an episode which advances the story when I want to fight enemies or do something technical - I always have a freedom to choose what I want to do. So in a way it's easier for me to enjoy them for the "relaxation and cuteness" (not that it's the main reason). And if I want a story, I become very picky in terms of visuals, relatability, quality, stereotypes, et cetera... which is where cute anime like Pokemon and Digimon tend to be a little lacking at. At least in my opinion.
So, to summarize... my anime engagement is steadily low. I'll be slowly going through my plan-to-watch list, keeping an eye on new anime and of course I'm always open to suggestions. I've noticed that I am more interested in anime movies nowadays, so hopefully there will be lots of unique anime movies in the future... My plan is to also explore the world of books, classical music and movies and to continue my journey with video games as they remain (and always will) my core hobby. I think video games are the ultimate form of entertainment which combine all the good aspects of other forms. I wouldn't have been the same without games.

"Completed" with a score of 10- my all-time favorite anime, it is perfect.
"Completed" with a score of 9- my all-time favorite anime, almost perfect.
"Completed" with a score of 8- my all-time favorite anime, not as exceptional as 9 or 10 ones, but still very important to me.
"Completed" with a score of 7 - I consider this anime to be one of my all-time favorites but it is "low priority".
"Completed" without a score - I enjoyed this anime enough to finish it but I do not consider this anime important to me in any way. Just okay.
"Dropped" without a score - I've decided to not drop any anime. If I will watch some anime and dislike it, I will just remove it from my list.
My scores aren't critical, they just represent how much I like the anime, that is all. I should note that sometimes if I don't feel like dropping an anime I don't like very much and don't feel like finishing it, I'll just mark it as "Completed". I do that rarely but I think it's fair considering that I haven't enjoyed it enough to give a rating.
