Hey there! I'm just another otaku/gamer.
I've been into anime since I was in 5th grade which was back in 1998-99, so over 20 years now. ouch... Unbelievable how time flies! I started with the Toonami block of the time on U.S. TV. Back then it was still hosted by the CG Moltar from Space Ghost, lol! I really got into Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Robotech/Macross as well which is perhaps my favorite series.
Anyway, I just watched anime on TV at first, but I soon noticed Anime ads in my gaming magazines. (I was a huge gamer, more on that later) The first one that really caught my eye was Sakura Wars. I saw the ad and I was like, you mean there's cartoons like this not on TV? lol, We were all newbs once. I saved some allowance and went out to buy my first anime on VHS at Suncoast (a store I miss), Volume 1 of Sakura Wars. It was 25-30 bucks for a 2 episode tape. Today you get 13 episodes on dvd for that price, Crazy how much it's changed.
So I loved that tape! ADV films always showed these awesome previews for other anime at the start of their tapes. Most of them became my early anime. Sorcerer Hunters, Dirty Pair Flash, Legend of Crystania, Gunsmith Cats, and Debutante Detective Corps among others. Fun days... I still love finding and watching older stuff!
Anime took a backseat to my gaming til about 2005 when I started working, building my own DVD collection, and watching fansubs. Around then I started considering myself an otaku. I followed shows by season from 2009-2016 but in recent years only check out a few here and there. I've also been into figure collecting and conventions which still interest me but is in a weak phase currently.
So I love videogames too. Favorite genres are JRPGs (especially tactical) and Puzzles. I also like most anime style games and 2D sh'mups.
Some favorite game series are Phantasy Star, Ys, Fire Emblem, "Tales of", and Mega Man.
A few other games, Puyo Pop, Tetris, Gradius and pretty much any by Nippon Ichi, La Pucelle Tactics, Disgaea, etc! I also like old Mario and Sonic games. (The newer ones, not as much)
Thanks for reading my story!
You can also find me on anidb and Backlog.
I love database/collection sites!
I'm an avid Steam user as well.
How I vote...
10 - Amazing! Among my absolute favorites!
9 - Awesome! Always a pleasure to watch but they weren't quite as special as the 10s
8 - Great! Perhaps a few minor issues but still really enjoyed them.
7 - Solid, Entertaining enough. Wouldn't consider these a waste of time at all.
6 - Mediocre, I have issues with them but they may of had their moments or good points, or shows that start off enjoyable but got progressively more boring or worse as they went.
5 - Meh, These end up feeling like a waste of time but they weren't completely terrible.
4 - Awful. If these are longer then 3-4 episodes I probably dropped them.
3 - These are just really really bad. I rarely vote anything this low.
2 - An insult to me as a viewer. I find it hard to believe these titles exist.
1 - I've yet to discover anything so terrible I'd find it worth voting a 1, except maybe characters I absolutely hate.
Any show rated 4 or below was probably not worth watching for me so I rarely use those numbers. I'm generally pretty good at picking shows I think I'll enjoy to some degree. I also tend to watch mostly shows in my taste range too. Only try a few here and there outside of it to keep my horizons a bit broadened.
When making votes, I'll also consider the length of shows and vote accordingly... Short episode type shows, commercials and music videos get that consideration. In the end I'll mostly base my votes on enjoyment value. Many shorts are too short (lol) to be really memorable so they rarely get higher then an 8 but I tend to enjoy em' anyway and still watch a bunch.... like 3-5 a season.

I hope maybe one day there's a local one but for now maybe online play one day? Assuming I get new stuff eventually
Now I'm downloading the file, I set up my info together with an avatar, is there a way to play with other people together with online friends? I might consider playing it with my mother
Ahh yeah Legendia's lack of 2P was really noticeable, Phantasia for the SNES also lacked that(plus you can only be Cless)
But I will say that some of his arguments of characters sound exactly like what he criticized many Yaoi fangirls off complaining for it's really noticeable I don't think he ever notice he is pretty similar to those people he can't stand also he did get into Tales of Symphonia, he was really shocked I didn't care for Genis/Presea but I'll be honest just the basic ideas in any coupling does not mean I will like it all the time I only hope he does not go into a level a certain Pokemon dub troll went into(blackmailing the current voice actors... seriously... he kept trying to guilt trip me even though I said I like Ash's current voice)
Red/Blue is primitive but there's something about it that I like, I think it's the nolstagia factor but many older games have attracted to me very well, I still adore Abalaburn, Strider, Cyberbots, Star Ocean, Tales of Eternia, Ore no Ryouri, Bomberman Fantasy Race and most SNK fighters after all these years(and other than Ore no Ryouri and Fantasy Race I have played all of these for ten years now!)
The artist that did the trading card and manga is a woman but I noticed how older Pokemon manga have a cute bubbly look over the edgier bug eyed look of the later ones it also happened with Pokemon Special.

Pokemon Reburst is nothing to your interest, it certainly wasn't mine it felt very unPokemon and generic Shonen
Tales of Symphonia's art direction is gorgeous, I think of the 3D titles this is the best, Legendia has a great story but the gameplay is pretty average, Abyss is good if kinda hard and very dark, Vesperia is decent except the villains are mostly very poor(more like most Final Fantasy villains! DOCTOR HOJO AND SEPHIROTH I'M LOOKING AT YOU), have not played anything since then and probably not for a long time as I got a Japanese 3DS which is suppose to arrive tomorrow so I can't get another console for a couple of years
So how am I able to set up my community profile anyway? I'll just say that I don't have the second part of Legend of Heroes Trail of the Sky, the other Ys titles other than 6 and 100% Orange juice
He's on Skype trying to work on that Pokemon fanfic and a dragon type game on RPG Maker and we do tend to get into fight when I disagree unfortunately he seems to really hate a lot of recent mainstream anime but I got some good discussions at times
Ahaha... I heard a friend of mine who said what you said about dropping Pokemon in the early 2000s, some of the newer designs are kinda strange and the later generations had it's problems 4 was slow on the initial Diamond/Pearl while five seems to try to focus on story over gameplay resulting that you never be able to play any of the older Pokemon until you complete the game that was just urg as many new mon had too overly complex designs, the older Pokemon had mostly simple designs that are very effective
But also I wanted to mention Mighty from Bomberman Board has a Pokemon fanfic don't think it's your type however but wanted to send this to you https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10715952/1/Truth-and-Ideals
We tended to get into a lot of arguments though, if you seen his posts he seems very americanized and heavily towards Shonen up to his logic which tended to have heavily unrealistic answers with everyone must be badass mindset, something I have been seeing less of these days
Also I might redraw my comic to put in more detail but I'll send it over when I advance the story it might take a long time though
Yeah that ocean themed setting is lovely, (somewhat) better than Glasslip and Shirobako more normal looking settings(though the Cafe Kotonoha representation in Glasslip is beautiful)
Meanwhile on other stuff I'm involved in sewing and trying to make original works, I'm still trying to work on that fan comic but I doubt you'll get anymore files in several months
