In WIXOSS characters are selected to make a wish come true while in Fairy Ranmaru the characters were chosen to make their world a better place. The fights in Fairy Ranmaru and WIXOSS have a proxy fight on each side's behalf. In WIXOSS this is their LRIG card character, while in Fairy Ranmaru it's the fairy fighting on the client's behalf. Just like in WIXOSS it's possible for there to be spectators. The sides themselves cannot participate in the fight and can only provide motivation and instruction. Depending on the outcome of a fight, a side's life can be altered completely. The series also share similar apparel with WIXOSS LRIG characters looking very similar to what the fairies wear in Fairy Ranmaru when transformed.
