Boogiepop Phantom should this even exist, of course it does. It's a good anime at best, for me it was kind of just okay.

Sometimes you wonder if the story is going anywhere worthwhile. Does it? No, but at least it tries. The story isn't pointless though, it deals a bit with electricity and how society could be hurt even greatly hurt by cutting off electric supplies. Enter Boogiepop he comes with a flash of lightning in the dark. It's not the best, just kind of noir or a crime noir.

It tries to suck you in with its music and ...

Kanon (2006) (Anime) add
Kanon (2006), the second of KyoAni's big three. The others being Air and Clannad, respectively. Kanon is very memorable for me and is a big step up from the earlier Air TV Series. The story and sound made this anime great for me. The art can be hit or miss for some people (moai), I thought the art was great for this series and complimented the story well. The characters were good, but could of been fleshed out more. This is due to the fact that we really don't know or really get to know any of the characters ...

Texhnolyze (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
Texhnolyze. I didn't enjoy this series very much. The story and characters were decent or rather scary really. This story revolves around, fate, loathing, and fear. The atmosphere was dark and moody. The story also goes into cybernetically enhanced humans or cyborgs with texhnolyze technology. It raises a good question, can technology destroy everything? Perhaps, but it can also be used for much good.

This series had very little talking and tried to let the visuals do the talking. This is fine for a little while, but it's like listening to hours and hours of classical music. ...

Casshern Sins (Anime) add
Casshern Sins. This could of been a great anime series, but settled for mediocrity. This series is based around a Mega-Man type idea. You have robot hunter Casshan or Casshern, with a robot dog, and a princess to save or find rather Luna. The story in itself is solid and is the bright spot in this series with good characters and character development. The sound is decent and adds to the rustic mood and atmosphere of this series.

If there is one word to describe this series it would be, rusty. The machines are rusting over and can anyone repair ...

Afro Samurai (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
Afro Samurai, go and get the number 1 death sentence. To start off I don't like gory, masochistic, or sadistic things. Especially when it's seemingly pointless slaughter. The anime starts off with Afro Samurai's father losing his head. It is really a bloody mess of an anime series. I'm kind of writing this review to warn people not to watch this series. Because in my eyes it's very degrading.

The music and voice acting is the only bright spot in an otherwise lousy series. You get some closure in the movie resurrection. It still doesn't breathe meaning into ...

Blassreiter (Anime) add
Blassreiter, was interesting and better than some people might think. It had an interesting premise of man merging with machines, known as demoniacs. Joseph Jobson is a demoniac, but he hasn't been totally corrupted by the process as he holds on to his humanity. He tries to help other people not to become demoniacs. It interesting as you watch the show and some become demoniacs right away, but others fight against and are not completely corrupted, or in other words don't completely fuse with the machine.

What made this story enjoyable was how the story progressed and the final outcome. It ...

Gankutsuou (Anime) add
Gankutsuou, the Count of Monte Cristo. This is one of the best anime series I've seen. I watched the series not knowing anything about the Count of Monte Cristo; other than it is widely regarded as a classic of literature and written by Alexandre Dumas. I was stunned by the many plot twists, its science fiction elements, and its satisfying ending.

The story was enthralling as it clasps you in its ice cold hands and begs you to bide your time and hold out hope. You know the story is about revenge; but even if you know the French literature ...

No.6 (Anime) add
NO.6 was an interesting story about a dystopian society. To start off NO.6 or the society in NO.6 was supposed to be a utopia, but it was far from it. They had giant insects that would kill people as some sort of plague, but what can stop this? Enter Sion a naive young man and a believer in the utopia. Enter Rat (later named Kazuma) he who knows the horrible secrets of this dystopian society. We later learn other secrets about this dystopia, such as, why is there no old people? Also why is life concentrated in these numbered ...

Juu Ou Sei (Anime) add
Jyu Oh Sei: Planet of the Beast King. I sometimes refer to this anime as Jyu Oh Sei: Plant World of the Beast King, because of the carnivorous plants. Jyu Oh Sei is a good anime series that borders on mediocrity, but is definitely upper crust of the good to average anime series. The story was a little hard to follow at the beginning until you got into the meat of the story. The story was interesting and sad, even very sad at times. It shows him as he battles through tournaments to become the next beast king. The ...

Angel Beats! (Anime) add
Angel Beats! This was a fun and exceptionally well told story. It was interesting as the background of the different characters were told and how they died. Angel Beats is about crossing over. There's a quote by Leonardo Da Vinci, "As a well spent day brings happy sleep, so life well spent brings happy death." That is the main focus of Angel Beats; it's about the relationships, quality of life, and what we give that is most important.

Angel Beats, reaches beyond the notes to reach the magic in the characters. Girls DEMO (dead monster) is a student music group ...
