Jyu Oh Sei: Planet of the Beast King. I sometimes refer to this anime as Jyu Oh Sei: Plant World of the Beast King, because of the carnivorous plants. Jyu Oh Sei is a good anime series that borders on mediocrity, but is definitely upper crust of the good to average anime series. The story was a little hard to follow at the beginning until you got into the meat of the story. The story was interesting and sad, even very sad at times. It shows him as he battles through tournaments to become the next beast king. The story is good even very good at times, as the story has a solid ending.

The art and graphics are very good, but the sound is just passable. The fight scenes are well choreographed and excellent at times. The fights aren't as memorable, as say, the Fate series, but still awesome. The other characters, besides the Beast King, are passable and bemoan their fate. Most of the enjoyment comes as the story unravels with the well choreographed fights.

In conclusion, this isn't one of the best or even Top 100 material. It's holds the attention well though and is enjoyable. It was produced by Studio Bones and is no push-over. The amount of fighting and blood might turn some people off though. I would recommend to stream it or buy it.
