Angel Beats! This was a fun and exceptionally well told story. It was interesting as the background of the different characters were told and how they died. Angel Beats is about crossing over. There's a quote by Leonardo Da Vinci, "As a well spent day brings happy sleep, so life well spent brings happy death." That is the main focus of Angel Beats; it's about the relationships, quality of life, and what we give that is most important.

Angel Beats, reaches beyond the notes to reach the magic in the characters. Girls DEMO (dead monster) is a student music group ... in Angel Beats. They overcome adversity to play music and so do all of the characters as they make the most of their short time together.

The sound is great, which adds to the amazing story and characters. The characters drive the story and is what makes it so enjoyable and relatable. The beginning is quirky and the ending is excellent and ties up loose ends. Angel Beats, resonates with hope and draws definite lines between the physical, spiritual, and eternal nature of the soul.

In conclusion, Angel Beats is great if not a masterpiece and deserves most of the praise it receives. Everyone's dead, but what are we trying to remember. Good Job, Tokyo!

Eden of the East. This is an interesting and believable story in terms of modern technology. It starts off showing a naked guy in Washington D.C. and his memory has been erased. He's astounded when he gets his cell phone and sees billions of dollars in assets through an electronic network. He later finds that he's supposed to save Japan and if he fails he is eliminated.

The story is well executed and the songs build up the excitement. The visuals are decent, but not great. This is a very good anime series and Oasis even sang the opening song. ... The characters are fairly deep, but it's only 11 Episodes what do you expect. This series holds your attention well and is enjoyable.

I never watched the two follow up movies and the series doesn't need them. The story was complete in itself and I thought the ending was well executed. The main question raised from this series was - How could you save a nation, when your memory has been erased? This was one of the first and better series I've watched. It deserves to be in most if not everyone's Top 100 anime series of all time!

This review is for Le Chevalier D'Eon. Le Chevalier means the noble or knight D'Eon. This is one of the better anime series I've seen, partially because it was based on historical events and figures. This series was set in France and with events that led up to the French Revolution.

The story and sound or music, in other words, were great. It was interesting seeing D'Eon morph from himself to his sister Lea Beaumont, who was assassinated in Russia (yes it's historically accurate). It showed him as he went to Russia disguised as his sister. The events ... that transpired were kind of sad, but France was a falling kingdom and changing into a free government. It also showed the importance of faith in hard times.

There wasn't a lot of fighting and it really didn't need it, because the story flowed. The enjoyment factor was high as you watched and discovered, what place D'Eon Beaumont and the musketeers had in shaping French history and their relationship to King Louis.

This was a great anime series. The only downside was the basic art and perhaps if you don't like history or France. This anime series also questions, howbeit vaguely, transgender people.

Jing, King of Bandits. After watching the OVA first I was expecting to be amazed, I was disappointed a little. The series is good, but the OVA was great. The main series relied a lot on the special attack Kir Royale and at times didn't go deep enough into the story or didn't flesh out the story enough, I should say.

The music was casino like and appropriate for the series. The art in the series was very good if not great and it mixed it up a lot. I enjoyed the parts where Jing and Kir were silly and enjoyed ... themselves. They get into trouble a lot, but deliver the goods.

I recommend this series for someone looking for some laughs. It's an upbeat series, with a good sense of humor. It's not the greatest anime series and probably won't crack my Top 100 List, but has it merits.

Jing, King of Bandits OVA. This is one of the most fun experiences in anime that I've experienced. Jing and Kir are imprisoned in Alcatraz or something similar to it and they try to escape. This anime is surreal with actual dream elements sprinkled in. The fun is as you try to tell reality from the dream elements, as the dreams are the focus of the Seventh Heaven OVA. I actually saw the OVA twice; the first time I thought it was amazing, the second time just good. I saw it the first time without watching the series and ... the second time after watching the whole Jing, King of Bandits series (maybe I just knew what to expect).

The art in the OVA is excellent as it merges with the sound. This anime OVA (original video animation) ova means it was sent straight to video and skipped TV airing, it brings new meaning to Edgar Allan Poe's words, "Is all that we see or seem, but a dream within a dream," because that is what this ova is about. It deals with if you had someone else's dreams or memories what would you do with them, would you even want them, and if yes how much time would you devote to them. We can probably all agree that our lives are interesting and difficult enough, but how important is escapism, knowledge, and wisdom to you. May I suggest, if you can apply it it is very important.

If you can get this English dubbed get it, it's worth the investment and time. The dub is very good I wouldn't watch it otherwise though (it's fast moving). It's an anime ova that encourages deeper thinking, but says have fun doing it (and does it well).

This review is for all of Fate/Zero, not just the 2nd Season. I watched the English dubbed DVD, because the Blu-Ray version was astronomically priced. This series was meant to be a masterpiece from the first hero summon to the last drop of blood. The series does not disappoint and it leaves many memorable moments.

My favorite class is probably Saber (Joan of Arc), but she's actually weak somewhat. Her master and allies make up for it though. Rider class (Alexander the Great) is my second favorite, he's fairly strong, but has a weak master. Archer class (Gilgamesh) ... is the strongest class and I believe he switches masters. Castor class is a psychopath and I feel sorry for his master. It plays out like heroic chess and the prize is one wish granted by the holy grail.

The fight scenes are very well animated, even exceptionally. The characters and story are impeccable, but there is a little down side. It's a medieval setting with a little melancholic atmosphere, with few smiles. This anime doesn't end how I thought it would, but is a cleverly crafted series with memorable characters.

Fate/Zero and the Fate series will easily make my Top 20 List and deserves most of the praise it receives. I haven't seen Fate/Stay Night yet, but am definitely looking forward to it!

Canaan, this is a very under-rated anime series. I really enjoyed this series as a whole. The idea to take a synesthete and give them super powers from it. The idea is interesting as synesthesia is a real disorder and Canaan is a cool protagonist. I also like girls with guns and Canaan gets it done. It's a lively series with the message, Trust your heart and never hate.

The story, art, and characters are very good. Because of these three reasons the Enjoyment is great, plus what I mentioned above. The beginning and ending are very exciting and wraps ... up the series well.

In conclusion, this is a series that more people should watch. The promised land was named Canaan, before it was named Israel. It's a classic in my mind and begs the question, Is the glass half full or half empty.

Ergo Proxy, okay I'm ready to review this juggernaut of an anime series. This was a great anime series with a few minor flaws, which I will discuss later. To fully understand this series you need to know beliefs held by some Christians. A proxy is an agent of God and Jesus's sacrifice was vicarious and eternal (meaning it was for everyone). We can all be proxies with the proper power and authority from God. There is different proxy work, such as, baptisms for the dead and eternal marriages. Jesus is the Savior of mankind and we can share ... with him in this work.

The charm of this anime series is in the environment and mood of the series. Most of humanity lives in domed cities and what they consider refuse lives outside these cities. The mood is gothic and the amazing music is icing on the cake. ReL Mayer is used to figuratively represent, I believe, Lady Madonna (or Mary the mother of Jesus). Vincent Law and the other proxies are used to figuratively represent Jesus and the other Saviors on Mount Zion (meaning Saints or the people who don't live in the domed cities). They add a science fiction element with androids and should they even exist or be given emotions. The main message of the series is to enjoy each day, a gift from God.

The minor flaws of the series are the two or three filler episodes and how the world looks like a gloomy place, because of the art style. I just think the anime series needs a bit more color.

In conclusion, Ergo Proxy was a fun and well executed drama of self-discovery and finding joy in the journey!

Black Cat is one of the first short anime series I ever watched. Hence I saw it about eight years ago. I had heard people raving about it, such as ten out of ten etc. I feel they're partially justified; it's worth watching, but lacks in the relevance department.

I'm Here To Deliver Some Bad Luck (Train Heartnet #13). Train (Black Cat:) has nine lives, but is it enough to defeat his master. This is an anime that will resonate in your mind, as the characters are interesting and the conspiracy of Chronos. The story is fairly deep for a ... short anime, Erasers vs. Sweepers meaning assassins vs. police basically. You'll find yourself questioning what are they fighting against, and the answer is corruption. The music is very good with a cute closing song. The main idea I got from this anime, is to appreciate the small things and it's not always fireworks and ice cream.

I believe like Chrono Crusade and Basilisk (24 Episode Anime Series), that Black Cat deserves on everyone's TOP 100 List. This show delivers on many levels and the characters are where it shines the brightest. It ends on a hopeful note and is one of the better anime series I've seen.

I've been watching and collecting anime, in earnest, for nearly a decade now. I won't be in romance with most of the series, because I've seen them years ago; including this one.

Chrno or Chrono Crusade is a Christian tale about a demon (Chrno) and a pact he makes with the heroine (Rosette Christopher). Rosette and company is in the business of busting demons, until she falls in love with one.

It's a well written narrative, being comedic at times. It has some off color humor, and hints at corruption within religions. The series shines in its comedy, heart, and the ... relationships between the characters. This tale takes the stance that time is of the essence and to make the most of the time we have.

It's an older anime and from sometimes unpraised Studio Gonzo (they deserve more praise). It doesn't break new ground visually, but the music is very good and fitting for this anime series. Sayonara Solitia is perhaps my favorite closing anime song. Overall, this anime was a joy to watch! It deserves more viewers and to be on everyone's must watch list.
