its in teacher's control. like for us 25% marks are from midterm, 40% from finals, and rest 35% from quizzes/assignments etc. you can do amazing at midterms and finals getting whole 65% but rest 35% is upto teacher. say you gave him assignment but he marks you didn't give any or you give quiz but he marks you absent. you cannot fight that. teachers have whole control by this on class.

but on other hands some teachers are great. you do nothing and still they give you complete 35%.
