Yeah, the manga is currently on the Shinsengumi arc which is one before the latest in the manga so thankfully we're getting the full package as far as I can tell. Maybe we'll get some more, we'll see. They did skip some comedy arcs beforehand so they can go back if they need to adapt more material.
The Shogun arc did wonders for Takasugi's character. It basically fleshed him out entirely in one episode and brought light as to how his motivations are "rational". It was foreshadowed a lot since the Benizakura arc, actually. When Katsura says that Gintoki is the one "who should hate humanity the most, but continues to bear the burden" since he was the one forced to do the deed.

There's another arc coming up immediately after the Shogun Assassination arc so it's not the end of the anime. And the manga's still ongoing. Though from the looks of it, it'll likely become less comedic with all the things happening right now. Takasugi vs Gintoki was especially thrilling, it was an absolute beauty to watch. Especially with how it fleshed out Takasugi to make him seem more human and less evil.

My favourite in the series is the entire AC2 series. Brotherhood in particular. Ezio also happens to be my favourite of the protagonists, with Connor and Altair being the next two (in that order). I feel like Assassin's Creed 3 did get more hate than it deserved, imo. I really like how they dealt with Connor's split identity, the whole "half of me wants to defeat the outsiders, the other half is an outsider" thing. It was pretty cool. And I agree, Victorian settings are awesome! You should check out a manga called "Pandora Hearts" if you like those kinds of settings, it's pretty good.

Also, Happy Birthday!

I haven't played Assassin's Creed Syndicate yet but I do like the Victorian setting. It does take references from actual English gangs from that time period and it's actually quite neat. I haven't been this excited for an AC game since Black Flag so I'm happy it's coming out :P
Which AC game is your favourite, btw?

That's true, though Dark Dawn (the DS game) takes place 30 years after the first two games so the story is different as well. But the gameplay style is similar so if you enjoyed it you will like the first two as well. My personal favourite is Golden Sun: The Lost Age (the second one).

Pretty much. Though it's less about the school and more about the course. At least here, different courses have different grading methods. Some are more about assignments and projects, so tests are worth little whereas others are entirely test based.
Well, whenever exams are scheduled, everyone who is in a certain class (for example, Biology) will write their exams at that exact time. Though normally you only have one per day so it usually boils down to how prepared you are for that one.

Great! If you ever give it a go, tell me how it is. It's one of my all time favourites for a good reason :P The first two are for GBA, third one is for DS and hopefully a fourth one comes out soon (been waiting 5 years so far for Golden Sun 4).
My university tends to have two exam periods per semester (first semester ends in December, second in April). One for "mid term" exams and then a final (and some assignments in most cases). Some classes have two "tests" instead, which is basically like a mid term except the material is cut in half.

Hmmm... somewhat xD. It's a JRPG for the GBA and DS that combines puzzle elements with the JRPG style that we all know and love.
Agreed! AC 2 is also my personal favourite, along with Brotherhood. I've heard great things about the third game in the AC 2 series as well (Revelations), so that's something I will try to obtain in the near future.

I don't own a copy of ORAS just yet. I'll likely get it after my exams end, so I'll send my code by then (since my brother currently has my 3DS lol).

Nice! I like those games as well, my obsession with JRPG is mostly in part because I played a lot of Nintendo games as a kid lol. Along with Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Zelda, Shin Megami Tensei, etc., I'm also a huge fan of Assassin's Creed, Golden Sun and Fire Emblem. Which ones are your favourites from those series?

Yeah I also play a lot of genres as well, I played a lot of GTA V a few months ago. That game has a lot of content so it's a lot of fun~
