Just finished Cowboy Bebop today and wanted to read a few takes. There are a few episodes that I think are particularly standout, but I think your points are reasonable. I too couldn't quite tell why Ed was leaving, and Faye's returned memory didn't seem to resolve all that much. Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts on it.
