Plot: 2/10
It's been three whole episodes and there isn't a semblance of an interesting plot. There's almost really no plot at all? It seems like the show wants to set itself up as episodic with a larger overarching conflict, but we are given no reason to care about either of these elements with how little they have established. This is probably largely in part due to how little the audience cares about the characters at this point in time.

Character+Art: 2/10
The characters do not have personalities. Their designs aren't even that great either, and the ... anime's visuals leave a LOT to be desired. Making the male lead naked every time he transforms is not a personality, and not even attractive.

Overall (at this point in time): 2/10
The entire time I was watching, I was looking for SOMETHING to be able to complement and enjoy, but there is actually nothing. I genuinely have no idea who the target audience for this is.

I was expecting this short to serve as an introduction to the relationship between Hirano and Kagiura seen in the manga series of the same name, since anime-only viewers do not know much about these characters, particularly Kagiura. However, this was just 8 minutes of random snippets of the manga's earlier chapters, not providing an exposition to the series, but rather just advertising for the manga (or potentially, a future adaptation of Hirano and Kagiura).

My recommendation for fans of the manga is to not go into this short with high expectations and view it for what it is. As well, to those that have ... not read the manga, it is a good read for anyone interested in slow-burn romance! It is as wholesome as Sasaki and Miyano, but I rate this series higher simply because it is less cringe due to the fact that BL manga is no longer a plot point.

Buddy Daddies is a tooth-rottingly sweet show about the importance of cherishing each and every little thing about parenthood.

To get this out of the way, I think most of us can agree that the setup of this show has a strong resemblance to that of Spy x Family. However, the only resemblance these shows really share is the idea of adoptive parents hiding a dangerous secret from their child. Spy x Family seems to have more of a focus on the individual lives of its characters, each harbouring their own secret from the others, while Buddy Daddies highlights the dynamic between the three main characters, ... with the two adoptive parents working together in both their personal and professional lives.

What really makes this show shine is the silly, yet wholesome, family dynamic the three main characters share, and the writers' ability to portray mundane, everyday events in an incredibly heartfelt way. I have never really considered myself a huge fan of the slice-of-life genre, but I was reduced to happy tears at the end of nearly every episode. It is evident that there was a lot of love and passion put into this project, and I can only hope that the team decides to do more with this IP in the future.

Anyone would be able to enjoy this show, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you're looking for something cute to watch, give the first couple of episodes a shot :)

I want to thank everyone involved in the creation of this Webtoon for blessing my soul with this masterpiece. I cannot recommend this Webtoon enough. It's such a joy to read, and I'm hoping my spoiler-free review will convince you to give it a try, too.

Story: 10/10
This romance-drama Webtoon consists of several arcs which each focus on different relationships (though people from past arcs make appearances in future ones). Each arc tells a beautiful story and have all managed to make me bawl my eyes out.
I do have to mention, however, that while the first arc (Bomi's Flower) is entirely wholesome, later ones ... do deal with some darker subject matter. If you're not comfortable with those topics, I'd still highly recommend reading the first arc.

Art: 10/10
I'm in love with the art style. It's just beautiful to look at, period.

Characters: 9/10
The main characters of all the arcs so far have had a great dynamic and interesting backstories/personalities. I'm only hesitant to give it a ten because some important characters haven't concluded their character arcs yet, but I have faith this score will go up as the series wraps up.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I binged what was available of this series after stumbling upon its first chapter and I've been keeping up weekly ever since. It's safe to say that this series is very, very entertaining.

I'm only refraining from giving this series a 10 because it hasn't concluded yet. Regardless, PLEASE give this series a try. I'm sure you'll come to love it as much as I do!
