Well added it to my LN reading queue. Currently reading Spice and Wolf vol 13. Have latest Overlord, Highschool DxD and SAO releases queued after that but will eventually get to it. Might read Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku first though (as I recently finished the anime)

ISML finals in a week!

Also, I see you are catching up with a lot of classic anime series like Aria and Nodame. Good choices :)

For good shoujo, try Skip Beat. It's amazing.

Well, I watch a lot of genres so it's hard to compare. I never consider "top of the season" because the question should be "top of the season of which genre/theme?"

So far:

Romance: Golden Time seems to be a winner here
Drama: Little Busters Refrain without doubt
Action: Kill La Kill
Fantasy: Strike the Blood or Kyoukai no Kanata. Log Horizon has potential too.
Comedy: maybe Outbreak Company
Mecha: Valvrave 2 without any doubt. Bushiroad could be decent but Valvrave has better chances
Slice of Life: Nagi no Asukara or Gingitsune

You should also start Yamato 2199 as soon as possible. It's really good.
